In the course of 2 years, company decided to raise my agreed rental rate 3 times for up to 50% more than initially agreed. After confronting the manager, I was told this is out of their hands since corporate decides when and how much the rental increases occur. Instead of moving my business elsewhere, manager offered a smaller unit at a much lesser rate, taking into account that "rate will not increase for at least a year and even if it does, increase will be marginal". Trusting this company I decided to go ahead with the downgrade. To my surprise, less than 4 months later I receive ANOTHER RATE INCREASE NOTICE!! This time the increase would be for more than 50% starting next month. This increase like all the others happen for NO JUSTIFIABLE reason. As expressed by many others, this company has a long history of PREDATORY BILLING PRACTICES. They purposely wait for you to be settled with your storage to increase your rates, not by a marginal amount but increases of over 50% of your agreed rental agreement. I appealed this with their superiors in writing but they failed to even respond. I am now in the process of starting to take legal action against this company and needless to say I recommend everyone to stay away from this corporation completely!

They tell you to move to a bigger unit to lower rent then 4 months later it is increased. The elevators work occasionally. The temperature control doesn't work. No one ever seems to answer the phone, despite customers paying hundreds of dollars per month. Not all units are climate-controlled, which feels outdated compared with many newer storage facilities. In the summer, accessing a non-AC unit can be extremely uncomfortable. The property also has a bad noticeable spider and insect problem, along with visible wear and damage to some exteriors like doors and exterior areas. Prices also seem to increase every few months after the promotional rate. They collect tons of money, yet can't answer phone, nor provide any customer service. Property manager never seems to be on site our when he is he is in no way, helpful our responsive. Small hallways, when you are removing our dropping anything off and someone else happens to be also at the same time. Impossible to maneuver within the small hallways. Between the poor customer service, really bad spider outdoor insect issues, limited climate control, and frequent price increases, location is also not convenient our ideal. I would not recommend this location and will not be returning. Not good for long term storage. Unless you don't mind spiders and insect on your property. Go to new storage facility location. Not public storage.

Unfortunately, our…read morecontractor went under and we had to pick up all the pieces, which means we had our unit for nearly 4 years! We signed a paper contract when they dropped off the unit, although I don't really remember signing a contract. But then 3.5 years later, they sent us a digital contract and asked us to sign it. But because I don't remember the paper contract, I refused to sign the digital contract. Even though we were paying every month on time for the last four years, they refused to give us one more month with the unit because we refused to sign the contract. Additionally, after returning the unit, my credit card was charged two months in a row, and I had to call the company to get a refund on my credit card. I would recommend the business because the delivery and pickup of the unit was simple. But everything else involved with renting this unit, I don't recommend.

After an underwhelming experience at another facility in the area, I was grateful to find ExtraSpace Storage, where I was referred by a family member and secured a fantastic starting rate on a locker box. The pricing stayed within my student and employee budget through the years, and as my needs grew, upgrading to a 5x10 unit was hassle-free. Management and staff were always patient, especially regarding any late payment situations--clearly explaining the five-day grace period and late fee policy. Special thanks to Robynne L. The team's compassionate and consistently friendly approach made the facility feel like a second home, both for myself and the many friends and family whom I've referred. I did eventually move out of this unit because in the year and a half I was there my rent went up 3 times. I'm sure they wanted to get their money back for having to pay the insurance claim. If I'm ever in the area I'll definitely be moving my stuff into another storage unit. Original: We moved our stuff into this unit in November, within 5 months our rent went up $25. Last month we went to check on our stuff and pull a few belongings out to find out, our climate controlled unit, had a leak. See photos of damage done to my belongings. I went to the front desk and explained my unit had a leak, they went up and took pictures and explained how they had no clue how that happened. Above my unit it looks like they were working on their sprinkler system, or whatever, and there is so much dirt from the ceiling from them drilling into it all over my stuff. I had the owner I believe, his name was Dave, to apologize for the damage. I told him I am only worried about my mattress which had a white sheet draped over it and as you can see from picture the white sheet is completely stained. I can only imagine how far it went into the mattress. He explained he would like me to remove my belongings in order to get to the mattress and really make sure it had damage to it. What?!? The pictures show you the damage! I finally stopped replying to his persistent phone calls about moving my stuff out of the unit into another unit. HUGE INCONVENIENCE!!! Not to mention I have big furniture and would have to find a way to have people help when my boyfriend is a truck driver and is constantly on the road. They are acting as if this is my fault. To make things even better, I'm paying for insurance through the company monthly. When I called the storage unit today the man working there explained to me I can't put a claim in because Dave said I have to move my things and Dave is his boss so there is nothing he can do.
