They do a great job. I've lived right up the street from their location for the past four years. I appreciate that the dry cleaning price for each item is the same no matter what so you don't have to think about whether you're getting ripped off. I also like the texting service to let you know when your order is ready. I've also had them sew a few items like my favorite winter coat. Good spot!

I recommend NoMa Cleaners for dry cleaning and I will be back for tailoring too. I brought 3 of my favorite blazers in and appreciated the quick service, communication in person and by text. There is also an app to track status of order and you can notify the business when you are on the way to pick up so all is ready. Not sure what other businesses rates are, each piece was $8.97.

Sharp crease, just how I like it.

Upon giving the kind lady my information, I got text alerts from NoMa Cleaners, as well as Dryy. I'm not sure how NoMa Cleaners is related to Dryy, but I've read the horror stories. Either way, I dropped my wool-blend pants off Monday, where items are ready by Thursday at 5 (they have a 3-day turnaround). By 11am Thursday, my pants were ready with a RAZOR-sharp crease, just in time for an outing Saturday. At $6.98, it's much pricier than I'm used to in Houston. But it was worth it; this is Washington, and people can afford it. One block from the Metro, I hope NoMa becomes my permanent dry cleaner.

Great service and fast alterations! I had a pair of pants that needed to be hemmed, and they fixed them on the spot. Highly recommend!

Not only was the woman behind the counter so friendly and polite, she was helpful. A few days later, she showed me the dress, and it looked fixed. When I arrived home to try it on, I could tell she did wonders. While the price I paid in the end was not the one she initially quoted, I was ok with paying slightly more as it involved fixing the hem and pleats of the bottom half of a dress as well as potentially adjusting the side seams where the pockets were. Additionally, she did caveat that she might not be able to fix the dress so I appreciated her upfront-ness. And so for the last two months, I have trekked to Farragut Square, greeting the folks behind the front desk and walking into the quaint space that is Barr Cleaners where the woman greets me by name and asks when I need my items. She is always flexible and can turn the items around within a day or two, if it's not a lot. Most of the times, I tell her she can take her time, and even still, it's only a couple of days, and I'm ok with that. The most recent dress I brought in clearly showed wear, and when I asked if she could take care of it, she smiled and said in her cute way, "No problem." Prices are a little pricey, but the service is worth it in my opinion.

July 9, 2026 I hate leaving bad reviews so much that I…read moreactually go back and delete them at later dates to not jeopardize anyone's livelihood or reputation, but this one will, hopefully, be immortalized. The first thing you need to know is that this establishment does not have a standardized list of services or prices anywhere online or in their shop. I first went to them on June 22 to have five dresses dry cleaned (quoted $79.45), one blazer dry cleaned and shortened (quoted $52.95), and one dress' zipper repaired as well as have it dry cleaned (quoted $52.99 or $29.99 depending on if the existing zipper was salvageable or needed to be replaced). The prices seemed a bit steep to me, so I told the woman at the desk, Eden, that I would shop around for a cleaner and maybe return. I decided that paying for convenience was worth it and returned on July 8 due to Barr's close proximity to my workplace. This time, I dropped off two dresses for dry cleaning/stain removal (paid $29.98), one dress to just have the zipper repaired (paid $28), and two blazers to just have shortened (paid $50 each). When I got to work, I realized that I was paying almost the exact same amount to simply have a blazer altered that I was quoted for an alteration AND dry cleaning a couple of weeks ago. I called to inquire about this and was given the runaround. A man who I suppose is the manager initially said that he did not know why the pricing was what it was then told me that it was perhaps due to some promotion going on. I asked how much the promotion was to result in the pricing nearly being equivalent, and he said 10% which still doesn't make sense. I told him so, then, presumably due to being tired of speaking with me, he told me that I could come pick up my items and receive a refund which worked perfectly fine with me. While picking up my items, Eden told me that the refund had to be processed through an accountant and that the man I spoke to before was not in at the moment to discuss things further. After getting in contact with him, he told me that the refund had been initiated and to text them my email address to receive proof of this via email. As of the afternoon of July 9, I have still not received an actual refund, confirmation of a refund, or any specific timeline for the processing of my refund. I called Barr this morning after they ignored my texts and got an AI assistant for the first time since trying to resolve this matter, so it seems I'll just be disputing these charges with my bank. These business practices are egregious, and I can only imagine how many others have been charged on a whim but did not realize and thus could not rectify matters. I cannot recommend Barr Cleaners any less and would instead recommend you go to the Cleaner of Cleaners which is right by the Federal Center SW Metro Station. They do not require prepayment, prices are comparable to Barr's but transparent, and the service surpasses Barr by miles. UPDATE (July 10, 2026): Barr Cleaners said they issued a refund this morning and requested my email to send me a refund receipt. I will update this review a final time when I receive the receipt. UPDATE (July 10, 2026): I received confirmation of a refund via email this afternoon. I'm glad to have this matter finally resolved, but my original rating still stands.

Lost half my clothes the first time using this service. Just got off the phone with "customer…read moreservice" and their solution is for me to file a claim where I send them pictures of my missing items. I don't know about you, but I don't have pictures of my socks and bras. And I don't make it a habit of taking pictures of the clothes in my hamper. When pressed, she said the company has photos they can use to find my items. If a representative bothers to respond to this review, don't believe anything they have to say about this being an anomaly. My clothes were delivered last night, yet when I texted customer service about my missing items, I got this form response: "Hi Crystal - I'm so sorry to hear about the issue with your order. To help us assess and resolve quickly, we'll need a bit more information. If your order was delivered in the last 14 days, please complete our simple claims form here: www.rinse.com/customers/claim. Please include: 1) Photos of the items 2) A link to where the item (or comparable) can be purchased online. If it has been more than 14 days, you can send this information here and we'll open a claim for you. Thank you - we're here to help." So you lose people's clothes often enough to have a canned response ready??? Do NOT use these people. I don't know where to begin replacing these items. I'm so glad I didn't let them dry clean my custom-made items. My next stop is the Better Business Bureau. Rinse should not be in business. Shame on you.

My Experience: I needed to get a comforter cleaned because my washer and dryer are too small to accommodate them. They even sewed up a hole from the one time I tried to wash my comforter with no extra charge! Whenever I need dry cleaning or anything tricky cleaned, I will 100% use Mass Court Cleaners.

That being said I'm so glad I came here. I needed some clothes altered and she did a wonderful job. She was very knowledgeable and chatted with me about what I wanted for the hems on the pants I needed tailored and offered really helpful input. Will definitely be a returning and frequent customer for both tailoring and dry cleaning. Also, dropped my clothes off (2 pairs of pants and a shirt) on a Tuesday and they were ready by Saturday morning. I wasn't in a rush to get them back so I was pleased with the timeliness of the service. And finally, yes, this place is expensive. But honestly, I'd rather pay more for a job well done then go anywhere else in the area and have them ruin my clothes. The reviews that are knocking the prices obviously haven't lived in DC long enough, everything here is expensive. That being said, if you're looking for a bargain, I would look elsewhere.
