Pricing is a bit high compared to cleaners in other major cities .. the service is decent but don't bring anything delicate to them like cashmere or higher priced soft sweaters because whatever they use will totally change the entire make up and have it crunchy and removes the whole soft layer .. learned my lesson there .. they do pad their turn around dates and usually deliver before hand which is nice. Our favorite go to place in the neighborhood to get our dry cleaning done. The process is super easy and smooth. The lady is very amiable and facilitates the check in and recording the clothes sent there onto our existing card / record. I appreciate that the dry cleaning price for each item is the same no matter what so you don't have to think about whether you're getting ripped off. Upon giving the kind lady my information, I got text alerts from NoMa Cleaners, as well as Dryy. I'm not sure how NoMa Cleaners is related to Dryy, but I've read the horror stories. Either way, I dropped my wool-blend pants off Monday, where items are ready by Thursday at 5 (they have a 3-day turnaround). By 11am Thursday, my pants were ready with a RAZOR-sharp crease, just in time for an outing Saturday. At $6.98, it's much pricier than I'm used to in Houston. But it was worth it; this is Washington, and people can afford it. One block from the Metro, I hope NoMa becomes my permanent dry cleaner. read more

I had a $250 jacket ruined. I have gone to this cleaners for about three years now and never had any issues before this. I believe they are under new management and was pretty hopeful but unfortunately they have declined significantly. I dropped off this jacket on a Monday and picked it up on a Saturday. I come back home and saw there was a once inch tear on the rib of the jacket. Looking even closer, there was also a tear and extremely poor stitch job on the cuff/band of one of the sleeves. I referred back to multiple pictures I took of the jacket and noticed these flaws were not there when I dropped the jacket off. Why wouldn't they tell me they ruined the jacket? Based upon the material, it's now irreparable. I return the jacket on the following Monday and the lady behind the counter just started laughing at me and telling me those tears were already there. I showed her the picture that I took and she just said there's nothing she can do to help me here. She was unwilling to work with me to come to a solution. As a small business owner myself, I was shocked at this treatment. It's okay to make mistakes but at least tell me you did so instead of me coming back home to find out. Definitely not going to return and would not recommend. read more

They get the job done, and I find that their texting updates are very convenient in our modern age. The 8:30 AM open time makes stopping by on the way to work impossible so that does lower the convenience factor by a significant degree, and the pricing is not exactly a bargain. I've brought multiple of my fine clothing items to Lily so she can fix them for me, (mostly long pants and dresses that fit weird) and she is able to adjust it exactly the way I want it to fit! I agree with what's been said! The customer service is excellent and I'm willing to (somewhat begrudgingly) pay for the pricier service for the convenience (I live next door) and to support a local business. My fiance and I are regulars so they know us instantly and get our orders. I haven't had any issues with their cleaning service - it's mostly just shirts and suits for us. The lady who owns it is SO nice and chatty and is able to do simple alterations without issue (I haven't asked them to do anything complex - just hems and fixing zippers - so can't vouch for that). She is also honest about how an alteration will turn out (like when I wanted to alter a jumpsuit to fit my petite frame and she warned me that all they'd be able to do is hem it so the inseam would still sit low on my crotch. Beware, if you value the buttons on your shirt...steer away from this place. They totally destroy your clothes. Expensive shirts and luxury clothes, they ruin them entirely! All buttons on my luxury expensive shirt were broken and ruined. They mess up with your clothes, even when I asked them to wash them with care. See pictures. On another situation, they left two big black spots on my work blue button shirt and they ruined it again. These people have no idea how to clean clothes. As anyone who has lived near a branch of these Total Cleaners type locations knows, dry cleaning here is pricier and accordingly organized, efficient, and friendly. COST: if prices are all that matter to you, head to nearby Station Stop across from Harris Teeter or Georgetown Cleaners down on H. You'll save a couple bucks for sure. Around $6.50 for pants, $8.40 for jackets. SERVICE: I have become a regular here mainly because of the service. Extremely friendly, very fast at retrieving your clothes, and quickly recognizes regulars. ORGANIZATION: All your clothes are meticulously cataloged and tracked in their system with a unique ID and identifying information (type, brand, etc). And you'll get texts updating you on the progress of your cleaning. CLEANING: I will admit to being a but smell obsessive at times, and NoMa passes. Not the best dry cleaning I've ever picked up, but devoid of the weird musty odors that Georgetown Cleaners sometimes leaves behind. read more

Very happy with NoMa cleaners. I went to them for alterations on pants and to dry clean a jacket of mine. First, they completed everything faster than expected. They also did a very high quality job on the pants. You couldn't tell that changes were made. Additionally, they have a tracking system which texts you when your items are complete. You can also pay on it so pick up is seamless. For measurements, they also have a room for you to change in. Overall, I think this is a reliable place where you can expect quality service. As an initial note, this is my first review, and I had to activate my dormant account in order to make it. I did so because NoMa Cleaners was that great. I've used many dry cleaners, but none held a candle to NoMa Cleaners. All of my clothes were perfectly cleaned and pressed every time. The cleaner I used before NoMa knocked many buttons off of my shirts. Without charge (or even calling it to my attention), the people at NoMa Cleaners fixed all of my shirts. In addition, NoMa was consistently able to get my clothes back to me quickly, when I inevitably neglected to take them in until later than I should have. As noted, the actual dry cleaning was fantastic, but what really sent NoMa Cleaners over the top was the exceptional service. Everyone who worked there was extremely friendly and eager to be of assistance. I picked my clothes up in the morning, and the interactions with the staff there really got my day off to a great start. In closing, I want to say "thank you" to NoMa Cleaners. I usually go there for cleaning and they do an excellent job, even when I spill coffee in odd places on white shirts. At this point my dress clothes are in need of occasional mending and again they do a great and reasonably priced job. They even fixed a pocket my dog chewed through to get some candy. The best though was fixing the strap on my pannier when it fell off - that needed a heavy sewing and the stitches are still holding up.
