That was a big mistake. This time I went right to Doyle. You get what you pay for, my friends. Ryan, the owner, was very responsive and we made an appointment to do a video walk-through of our condo. We did the walk-through, he asked a lot of questions and then he promptly sent an estimate. We have a lot of things so it took five guys and two trucks. The crew leader contacted me the day before to confirm the details and they showed up promptly the day of. They were incredibly friendly, fun, and energetic the entire time. And very polite. They treated all of our things very well and didn't have a problem moving any of the weird odds and ends we couldn't find a way to pack. When we arrived they put everything in the new house where we wanted it and even though we could tell they were suffering from the extreme heat and the weight and amount of our things, they never lagged or complained. They put the beds back together quickly and correctly as well as the dining room table. I'd be in hospital if I had to move all my stuff. At the end, the crew leader went over the paperwork, explained all the final charges line-by-line, and took payment. Very professional. We could not be happier. They were a great crew of guys. Once from Indiana to Baltimore City, and the second from Baltimore City to Michigan. The first time I moved with them, the moving coordinator I worked with was very communicative, checked in with me throughout the moving process (including when my items were being picked up), and was conscious of my anxiety levels. The second time I moved, I needed to contact Stephanie to remind her of upcoming deadlines, follow up with her when she said that she would get back to me and failed to do so, and was also unprofessional at times, uttering profanities like "retarded" in reference to the move itself when on the phone with her. What's more is that one of my inventory items never even arrived to me. They launched an audit to find the lost items but came back empty, so I guess one of their workers just walked off with it. The pay out on the audit also was less than half of what the items were valued at. Some of the items that were lost can't be replaced. Like how does something just walk off? You're a moving company that specializes in moving things, and you're one of the most expensive brands in the market with guaranteed service. On a positive note, the people who picked and dropped off my belongings were very professional, on time, and handled everything like glass. Don't think I'll work with Perry again.

I rented a Uhaul truck and then they offer you to add moving help. I'm usually sceptical about the lowest price option and especially when you read reviews about the low priced services, you see how many of them either showed up hours late or never showed up, which was my biggest fear... Something told me that though they had the lowest price that you could never beat, they will also deliver a good service. And sure enough, it started by them confirming via text the same night I booked and following up the day after to schedule the move. Communication was great and they confirmed the day before as well. that already made me feel better! I've booked 2 man for 3 hours. The morning of the move, they showed up right on time, and not only that they were on time, instead of 2 people, 4 people showed up!!! No extra charge but double the manpower (don't know if that's a regular thing or not, but it was sure a pleasant surprise). They got to work right away, had a very good attitude and all in all made the move so much easier. I underestimated the amount of things that we had and the amount of things you can fit in a 10ft uhaul truck, so we ended up having to do 2.5 truck loads to the new place (10 min ride) so we finished the job in 3 hours and 25 minutes so I gladly paid the extra hour (if you go over the time you have to pay in 1 hour increments) and added a nice tip. Those guys made this move so much better and stress free, I could not have asked for better help. DON'T THINK TWICE!!! book them for your move!

I should've listened to the reviews on this company that were so low. Unfortunately, we were in a…read morepinch needed to move quickly after another moving company canceled. I spoke with someone on the phone who gave a low quote, had immediate availability, and I understood the terms of the quote which were they charge a full hour just to come to your house for travel and then a two hour minimum. Our move went two hours over the minimum. This was not helped by the fact that they insisted on taking their time to wrap everything in plastic wrap even when we had some cheap stuff that we said just throw it on the truck we don't care, and disassembling things that really didn't require it. Our house was only 900 square feet and we did not have all that much and were moving less than a mile away, not across the state or country. We had to finally stop them and say this is getting to be too long and decided to dismount and move our TVs and bed frames by ourselves the next day. We were fine with paying for the extra two hours. Then comes the surprise: A $400 FEE FOR MATERIALS. What materials? Plastic wrap and packaging tape, and I suppose depreciation on their moving blankets? Seriously folks, this company will get you one way or another. Make sure that you have wrapped up everything yourself. Their workers were personable and hard-working, but the business model here is to ensure you go over the two hour minimum and to charge an exorbitant rate for materials. Do not be deceived on the phone when making the initial appointment by their very knowledgeable and reassuring booking staff. That's why I thought a two star rating must have been a mistake. I was talking to a real person. The text messages that were sent seemed to have prepackaged responses and I ask if I was talking to a bot they said no. They claimed their Yelp rating is low because they "don't pay for reviews like other companies." Well, I'm a real customer and have paid dearly to provide you, the unwitting consumer, with this review. Moving is stressful enough. Getting ripped off is just insult to injury. Their phone number will come up as spam on your phone, and if you've made it this far reading this review, you can understand why. If you're desperate and have lots of cash to burn, this company will be great. However, avoid if you can!
