DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!! Awful experience. Their system didn't show my reservation so when I got here I had to start a new reservation. I ordered a climate controlled unit. That was not at all climate controlled. There were no carts to help move. Floors were extremely slippery when they became wet from the ice. There were no rugs. The lights did not work. There was thick ice outside the building so it was dangerous to be unloading things. Water damage was obvious in the ceiling a little bit away from my unit. Then after a month I see i was charged twice. I then went to the app and I see that there is two units listed. I attempted to reach the manager or anyone at this location for several days and finally got a return call to someone who told me that I had to prove to her that I had not rented the first unit. I tried to explain to her that you cannot prove a negative. And that it was their app that made a mistake. I explained that you can see that the plastic tie is still on the other unit had never been used. She told me that this was my problem and refused anything further. read more

0 stars if I could. Rent is an okay price but there is a rampant rodent problem. Went to check my unit and it was COVERED in mouse droppings. Not a single word of notice was given to me despite the location being aware of the circumstance, they had placed small and essentially useless packets in the corners in an attempt to repel them. Don't know how they got into my unit since I had my own lock, but I was quick to move out and cancel. Doubtful I'll ever use a public storage unit again, I will definitely NEVER go back to this location. read more

Worked with Akena and Sydney who were great. The process to rent our unit was simple and easy. They both explained everything thoroughly and made the steps fool proof. The space is clean and well maintained and well lit. You have to drive around cherry lane court to get to this location. They even walk you to the gate to make sure your code works. Sydney gave my Mom a ride on the golf court so she wouldn't have to walk to the unit which helped a lot. Great customer service by both associates that assisted us. read more

I had a most favorable experience at the Public Storage on Contee Rd in Laurel, MD. I was serviced by Martha who exhibited great customer service and knowledge . Martha first called me after I had reserved a unit online. Withl all I had going on I appreciated her following up with my online reservation. Public Storage in Laurel is extremely clean and well organized. I was impressed with their security features as well. I had a great feeling about it after I rented my unit. read more

Can only speak of my experience. Make sure that you get confirmation by multiple employees for anything here. I came on the date I was given to pay and pick up my things and was told I was too late and all of my belongings have been sold. 2 days before, I was told on the phone that I could come on this day and pay and get my things. So the employee that I spoke to gave me the wrong info and because of that all of my things are gone. YES I could've come sooner but I went off of what I was told. So it's my fault for listening to an employee about my account. Spoke with the district manager and he couldn't do anything to help. Basically just told me that I should've come sooner. Again, if I would've been told that on my last conversation, then I would've been here. Very disappointed and I've now lost many of my kids memories for good. Thanks Public Storage. read more

*WARNING* please do not put your belongings here if you care about them. Rats and roaches on the premises. My original visit to public storage was pleasant. A few weeks later, after I move my things in I noticed a lot of ants in my unit. I advised management and his response was someone must have food in their unit and blamed it on someone a few units down who apparently had spices. Really unprofessional and no help, so I bought ant spray and that fixed the problem. 4 months later, I tried multiple times to contact management to schedule a move out day. No response. I get there on my move out day and the office is not inviting. The shades are down as if the store is closed. The male customer service agent was not inviting at all. Once my movers arrived I went to the office because I thought my gate code did not work but I had the number wrong. He wrote it on a piece a paper and basically threw it at me... The worst thing if all, I discovered mice feces and urine throughout my entire unit! I notified management and he was not concerned one bit. All he said was do you have insurance. Of course u do since it's required there...it was really disgusting and after the movers removed most of my things, I was really grossed out about touching the other things. I went to the office and told them there was a small amount of things left that had mice droppings and urine on them. The young lady told me I had you clean my unit out fully or I will be charged up to $1000 and offered me gloves. Many of my items had to be thrown out. Clothes, toys, kitchen items, etc. To make matters worst, I moved into a brand new apartment that opened the day I moved in.. a roach came out on of the boxes. I signed up at a location in Laurel. Martha reviewed everything including monthly fees, insurance, office hours, etc. Martha was very thorough. She even gave me a tour and showed me to my unit. She allowed for questions. She was very efficient, professional, and yet friendly. She has the best customer service skills one could hope for. The facility is very clean. Spotless. I just wish there was a general trash can area for little bits of trash. A few days later, someone called just to let me know that they would put a Public Storage sticker on my lock and not to be alarmed by it. I appreciate the communication as well. read more

I found the Laurel office to be hard to contact - no one ever answers the phone - it is always call back and sometimes it is not even that. But my real problem was with their bookkeeping. I got a letter that said my credit card had not gone thru and for me to call the office. I called and was told I had to pay by the next day or would get a late fee but I could go to any office to pay. Since I had moved out of Laurel I went to the office near me and the lady told me there was NOTHING wrong with my credit card - it had gone thru easily. The next month I got a late charge on my bill and when I called the Laurel office to explain I had indeed gotten the payment in on time and had the paperwork to prove it they were just not hearing it and I never got the $20.00 back. I found the ladies in the office to be very disinterested in my situation since they already had my money why should they care. Be very careful. read more

I moved to the area from another state, so by the time I made it to Public Storage I was exhausted. I had movers coming the next day to unload my truck but had some items to put into storage first. I needed to unhitch my car carrier as my apartment complex did not have the space for me to unhitch and park the carrier. The truck rental company would not help me out at all. Learaine at Public Storage was very nice and said I could store the car carrier and car at Public Storage overnight at no charge. She went above and beyond by helping me with out with that. I really appreciate her help. On the down side, the day I moved in....and even 1 week later, part of the wooden fence around their property was broken in. As the storage location is in an industrial area, it is not a secure location due to this problem. I am hoping this will be repaired ASAP! Right now, this location is NOT a secure location, which is what I am paying for. read more

I don't use the storage unit, but my father does, so I've been there many times! He loves it, I don't think he'd use any facility other than Public Storage! He goes in and starts chatting with his buddy Stephen they just have a good old time! LOL It's a great location, clean & cool, and Stephen is great at getting you just what you need! read more

Moved my stuff to this facility in the middle of November used the online reserv tion to take advantage of the special. The place is okay and the person generally on sight is very pleasant. However, if you have any problems (which I did) they are nearly impossible to get on the phone. Also, don't count on someone being there during the week at the times they post as the office being open. read more

Reserved a storage space today at 1130 with Learaine. By 1145, not only were we done with the paperwork but she ensured the space was swept. Fantastic service by Learaine! Very professional, courteous and friendly. Excellent customer service and I will be sure to tell my neighbors about this great experience. Well done! read more

The telephone customer service I received today was not only rude but it was unacceptable. The Manager made me feel as if she could have cared less if I utilized this facility or not. I will NOT under any circumstances patronize any business where the Manager is nasty and uncooperative. Public Storage may want to reiterate the value of customer service. I spoke to Learaine on the phone yesterday and let her know that I was interested in taking a look at a unit. Long story short...I went inside, all smiles, excellent customer service and a clean facility. The area looks safe and the staff onsite was willing to answer any and all the questions I had. I had my furniture stored at this facility for over a year. Had some runnings with the property manager and district manger in the past. There are instances where they both hanged up the phone on me regarding a dispute on a bill that was eventually got credited to my acct since I had to escalated this incident to corporate so they could acknowledged their oversight. They raised the fees $25.00 x2 in less than a year, but initial fee remained the same for new customers whom seeking to rent the property. The district mgr is quite arrogant and disrespectful, he speaks to his customers in a derogatory manner, particularly when he has never met them before. From a business perspective (not good for customer service morale) and in retrospectively, this market is so competitive and customers or looking for better CHOICE plus QUALITY in service. I was taught that customers comes 1st, obviously he doesn't understand that concept. They are are not complying the rules of the MD State regulations as stipulated in the contract. Additionally, the storage units are infested with RATS. I was alarmed when I opened my storage and saw rat feces all over my valuable items. My furniture got stained, molded and damaged despite that they were.covered and insulated with styrofoam plastics. Despite, the level of dissatisfaction with the other services. I had the opportunity to seek some help on 11/24/2015 from a gentleman name Francy L. He was extremely pleasant, courteous and forthcoming. He made my visit a bit at ease with understanding and guidance. A great person to work with. He does make a difference and he certainly compensate for the weaknesses of this facility and Thank you. read more

I had an emergency situation where I had to get my car into a storage facility at the last minute. I arrived at the facility as they were closing and Emmanuel, the customer service rep, kept the lights on and helped me out by making sure my car was stored before he closed the facility for the day. Looking for people whom have been robbed by the two laurel facilities, according to their contract they cannot enforce a lien until 30 technical days, they've been bypassing their own contract and charging people late fees, liens and threathning auctions before the 30 days, which goes against their contract and the state of maryland regulations. I am trying to put together a lawsuit, please write a review that you're interetsed or idk if you're able to contact me on here. But they shouldn't be able to get away with this! Also, according to their contract in order to place a lien they have to send a certified letteR. read more

This storage facility has great customer service. I made reservations from out of town and was called right away by Javaeda. She made the process very smooth by keeping in touch and making sure that I had the right size unit. Upon arriving I ended up switching my mind on the previous unit and there was no hesitation or inconvenience on her part she assigned me a larger storage unit. Javaeda is very nice and courteous I would definitely recommend this facility to friends and relatives. read more
