Unfortunately, our…read morecontractor went under and we had to pick up all the pieces, which means we had our unit for nearly 4 years! We signed a paper contract when they dropped off the unit, although I don't really remember signing a contract. But then 3.5 years later, they sent us a digital contract and asked us to sign it. But because I don't remember the paper contract, I refused to sign the digital contract. Even though we were paying every month on time for the last four years, they refused to give us one more month with the unit because we refused to sign the contract. Additionally, after returning the unit, my credit card was charged two months in a row, and I had to call the company to get a refund on my credit card. I would recommend the business because the delivery and pickup of the unit was simple. But everything else involved with renting this unit, I don't recommend.

Although customer service experience at the location has been pleasant, the overall experience…read moredealing with this company has been detrimental due to their abusive corporate decisions. In the course of 2 years, company decided to raise my agreed rental rate 3 times for up to 50% more than initially agreed. After confronting the manager, I was told this is out of their hands since corporate decides when and how much the rental increases occur. Instead of moving my business elsewhere, manager offered a smaller unit at a much lesser rate, taking into account that "rate will not increase for at least a year and even if it does, increase will be marginal". Trusting this company I decided to go ahead with the downgrade. To my surprise, less than 4 months later I receive ANOTHER RATE INCREASE NOTICE!! This time the increase would be for more than 50% starting next month. This increase like all the others happen for NO JUSTIFIABLE reason. As expressed by many others, this company has a long history of PREDATORY BILLING PRACTICES. They purposely wait for you to be settled with your storage to increase your rates, not by a marginal amount but increases of over 50% of your agreed rental agreement. I appealed this with their superiors in writing but they failed to even respond. I am now in the process of starting to take legal action against this company and needless to say I recommend everyone to stay away from this corporation completely!

They tell you to move to a bigger unit to lower rent then 4 months later it is increased. The elevators work occasionally. The temperature control doesn't work. They make the front lobby look nice but the rest of the area is nasty and outdated. It's not a safe area. Pick a newer storage place. There are so many nearby.

After an underwhelming experience at another facility in the area, I was grateful to find ExtraSpace Storage, where I was referred by a family member and secured a fantastic starting rate on a locker box. The pricing stayed within my student and employee budget through the years, and as my needs grew, upgrading to a 5x10 unit was hassle-free. Management and staff were always patient, especially regarding any late payment situations--clearly explaining the five-day grace period and late fee policy. Special thanks to Robynne L. Terry and other managers for their professionalism and understanding. The team's compassionate and consistently friendly approach made the facility feel like a second home, both for myself and the many friends and family whom I've referred. Leaving my unit was bittersweet, but I have no hesitation recommending this location to anyone seeking safe, affordable storage and outstanding customer care. Awesome experience through and through here…read more I had to get a storage unit for the first time and ezStorage Odenton made the process quick and painless. It started with me going on their website for some size and price research. Online, they offer special rates that they may not offer at-location, plus other promos like first-month free. For sizing, they had visualizations of the different units and what could fit in each (whole medium bedroom, for example). I submitted a quote for a 10x10 unit and got a call immediately after for follow-up. On move-in day, Amanda and Bridgette got me processed and settled so fast. They discussed the T&C with me and then walked me to the unit before signing. Immediately, the cleanliness stood out to me. So happy I chose to rent here! Some quick, helpful tidbits: - You can purchase a lock with them on site. They do not hold any keys. - Rent is due on the first of the month and can be paid via customer portal. - Someone lives on-site to help you with all your needs (I did not know this!)

Friendly, welcoming, and helpful, with excellent customer service. What can you say about storage units, really? It was clean when I opened the door for the first time, so that's good. The rolling carts are very helpful for schlepping your stuff in and out, especially if you're not on the ground floor. So why only 4 stars? Well, the elevator is the slowest I have ever seen in my life. There is no climate control, so the second floor is HOT. There are no lights or electricity in a basic unit (don't know about basement or first floor, or maybe you can rent one that has it). The call button near the elevator, meant to call the office if you need help, is turned off. The system is old and apparently caused such a loud racket in the office that it was just deactivated. So if you need help during office hours, you'll be trekking to the office in person. The price is good and there was an incentive for the first month or three months, I lost track LOL. You are encouraged to set up auto-pay, but not required to. I'm happy that everything can be done electronically - save a tree or two! All in all, I'm very satisfied but my "would you recommend it" had to be a maybe. Some folx might really prefer to have the things this one doesn't. For me, it works!

I should've listened to the reviews on this company that were so low. Unfortunately, we were in a…read morepinch needed to move quickly after another moving company canceled. I spoke with someone on the phone who gave a low quote, had immediate availability, and I understood the terms of the quote which were they charge a full hour just to come to your house for travel and then a two hour minimum. Our move went two hours over the minimum. This was not helped by the fact that they insisted on taking their time to wrap everything in plastic wrap even when we had some cheap stuff that we said just throw it on the truck we don't care, and disassembling things that really didn't require it. Our house was only 900 square feet and we did not have all that much and were moving less than a mile away, not across the state or country. We had to finally stop them and say this is getting to be too long and decided to dismount and move our TVs and bed frames by ourselves the next day. We were fine with paying for the extra two hours. Then comes the surprise: A $400 FEE FOR MATERIALS. What materials? Plastic wrap and packaging tape, and I suppose depreciation on their moving blankets? Seriously folks, this company will get you one way or another. Make sure that you have wrapped up everything yourself. Their workers were personable and hard-working, but the business model here is to ensure you go over the two hour minimum and to charge an exorbitant rate for materials. Do not be deceived on the phone when making the initial appointment by their very knowledgeable and reassuring booking staff. That's why I thought a two star rating must have been a mistake. I was talking to a real person. The text messages that were sent seemed to have prepackaged responses and I ask if I was talking to a bot they said no. They claimed their Yelp rating is low because they "don't pay for reviews like other companies." Well, I'm a real customer and have paid dearly to provide you, the unwitting consumer, with this review. Moving is stressful enough. Getting ripped off is just insult to injury. Their phone number will come up as spam on your phone, and if you've made it this far reading this review, you can understand why. If you're desperate and have lots of cash to burn, this company will be great. However, avoid if you can!
