Had the extreme pleasure of working with this company with David as my contact person. Very professional and reasonable priced. Used them as part of our move from MD to FL. First, they moved a grandfather clock and a weight tower from our home in Arnold, MD to my daughter's in Hampden, MD and secondly, loading of a POD in our driveway. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

Third time using First Class Movers. I had to move my Dad into assisted living this time and the 2 movers were excellent. Arrived on time (actually a little early, but had called first), very careful w/items and delivered to his apartment undamaged. I would highly recommend this company. Prompt response from my initial phone call w/estimate and I feel was fair price. read more

We used First Class Movers for a second time for a local move. They helped us to pack and also to move, and it was cost effective and convenient. This was right before the holidays, and they made it easy. read more

Truly a First-Class Experience! As a military family, we've been through countless PCS moves--and most were stressful, with things broken, missing, or handled unprofessionally. This time, we decided to hire our own movers and chose 1st Class Moving and Storage. It was one of the best decisions we've ever made. From the beginning, Calvin was fantastic. He provided the initial estimate and stayed in touch throughout the entire process. He was professional, responsive, and truly made us feel like valued clients. The moving crew was just as impressive--always on time, extremely respectful, and incredibly careful. They wrapped all our furniture in blankets, thoroughly documented our inventory, and made sure our walls and doorways were protected during the move. Nothing was broken. Nothing went missing. It was smooth, efficient, and stress-free. To top it off, the pricing was extremely competitive--especially for the level of service we received. If you're looking for a moving company that truly delivers top-tier service at a fair price, we couldn't recommend 1st Class Moving and Storage more highly. read more

5 stars Excellent service Have used them for several moves On time Very easy to use Great price

The name says it all.... 1st class! I am helping a buddy move. And he hired this company based off a recommendation from family. I will hire these guys for when I move. These guys are legit! Timely, they arrived in their window early. They got to work! And were speedy. They packed things up and packaged them and protected them. With the items my buddy and I hauled personally. They still helped us move those items. Which is above and beyond. The work hard and lift heavy. And don't waste trips. They are effective and efficient. They are very courteous, the respect the furniture, residence and the customers. read more

1st Class was able to handle my request on short notice, and sent three very capable, considerate, and efficient movers, who got the job done quickly and carefully. They took special care not to track mud into the building even after I assured them the floors were being replaced anyway. I would certainly recommend their services to anyone in need of a hassle free move. read more

They were great from start to finish! Super affordable and professional. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

No accountability. The wooden headboard of one of my beds had hinge you could unscrew to operate the pieces but instead they ripped off that third piece damaging the wood and overall look of the bed. They mentioned they would give me a form to complete but never sent it. Definitely, wouldn't recommend and for that they were over priced and shady. They don't even deserve the one star. read more

We just moved from Plymouth MA to Elkhorn, NE and 1st Class Moving made the move less stressful than it could have been. from the first phone call to inquire about moving until the last box was unloaded from the truck the experience was great! I recommend this company to anyone moving from/on the East coast. my daughter recommended them to us and we were glad they could take us on as a client. read more

We are very happy that we chose 1st Class Moving and Storage to help us with our recent move. We required full moving service including all packing. They were able to fit us in very quickly for a virtual walk through to provide an estimated cost, which was much less than expected. I thought there would surely be extra expenses added in for the final total. But it wasn't! (They were much less expensive than a company we used a few years ago, and ended up doing a much better job!!) The crew was on time and they all worked very efficiently. It was a hot day and the air conditioning was not working, but they all worked hard and did not even complain about the heat. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them for packing and moving at a very fair price. read more

1st Class Moving and Storage was a true delight to work with. Scheduling a last minute move for my mother-in-law from a nursing facility had a number of twist and turns given the security in and out of the building, but the movers were professional and efficient in the process. They were truly great and made what could have been a painful, labor intensive process a walk in the park. More importantly, they were extremely careful with the furniture and made sure the pieces were properly protected. Did I mention their prices beat other moving companies? Talk about shocked....great prices and professional movers!?? I can't say enough about my pleasure with this company and will definitely select them for my next move. Thank you 1st Class Moving and Storage for first class service! read more

After researching moving companies and doing a few calls, I stumbled into this company for our family move. And the whole experience from beginning to end was great. - Scheduling my move date was easy! And they sent a reminder email the day before with information I'd need to know - The movers came right on time and called before coming to confirm we were still ready to move. They were very attentive to all the items we needed move and handled everything with care. - They we're super efficient moving through the house grabbing things and putting it on the truck. The whole move was pretty quick and we were grateful for their help. This place was literally first class service and at a reasonable price! I'd recommend them to anyone read more

The movers were pleasant. Unfortunately, some of our stuff never made it. It also took almost 8 hours to move a small 3 bedroom apartment to a townhome, without packing involved. Other than that, no complaints. read more

The crew were fast, courteous and careful with my furniture. I HIGHLY recommend them! Five STARS!

I was referred by my daughter, I referred them to my sister all in a months time. Professional. They Didn't work slowly just because it's by the hour. I appreciated that. For a big move it's great. They stay in contact. They are prepared if you've had problems in packing unusual items. They were great all 3 times. They won't disappoint . From packing to moving to storage they can do it all. read more

1st Class Moving was an absolute pleasure to work with - they were prompt and friendly, they were willing to carry a whole lot of stuff up to the attic without any complaint. I would highly, highly recommend them for your moving needs! read more

First class, more like worst class. I hired them upon a friend's recommendation instead of using a company I favored in the past- big mistake. First, they were almost an hour late. There were three movers and only one seemed semi-competent. Another one used my master toilet without even asking (left the seat up and didn't wash his hands). Second, they damaged/marked the few items I had them move. read more

I found 1st Class Moving on Yelp for my mom's recent move from Easton, MD to VT and they could not have been more helpful or efficient. I worked with David prior to the move on coordinating the move and figuring out the quote and he was SO beyond helpful and friendly (and very very patient with all of our last minute additions). When moving day came, they arrived early, packed everything so carefully and took inventory of everything and were also so friendly and respectful of the property. Not one thing damaged or broken when they arrived at our destination. Would definitely recommend! read more

This is the best moving company we've ever used! They were on time, professional, and courteous, and treated our property with care, even laying down a "red carpet" to keep the floors clean! The actual cost ended up cheaper than the quote because the crew was so efficient. They also don't charge travel time; the time needed to get to and from your home, which saved hundreds of dollars! I thoroughly recommend First Class Moving and Storage to anyone needing their services! read more

1st Class Moving did a fantastic job. I certainly would hire them again. They were careful with everything and did a great job moving my grand piano. read more

I am in the process of fighting them on major damage they caused to the house I was selling and moving from to the new house I bought. 10 weeks after the move they are still reviewing my claims. Damaged floors, missing things. 2 TVs they packed themselves we totally destroyed. Dropped my deep freezer and every box was crushed or damaged. No one spoke English. I asked boxes or item to go to certain places and found them dumping where ever they chose. Busted my banister as they sent kids(16-18 yes old with no muscle ) to move an 18 wheeler of furniture. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I booked them a month in advance, paid my down payment and signed the contract. Then I did not hear from them again - I was promised a call the day before the move letting me know what time the movers would be arriving. Never got a call. I left a voice message which was never returned, and had to call 4 more times on the day of the move before anyone answered. THEN they proceeded to tell me the movers wouldn't be arriving until 5-7pm. When I called to speak with a representative about how unacceptable their communication and timing is, he was the rudest person I've ever spoken to in my life. Yelling at me, telling me I booked on the busiest day of the year and would just have to deal with it (how was I supposed to know it's the busiest day of the year??? If that's the case then you should have told me so I could schedule a different day). He tried to throw the terms of the contract in my face.....not knowing that I myself am a lawyer. At one point he told me that they were not contractually obligated to call me at all? It was abhorrent, offensive, and disgusting. I've literally never been spoken to that way in my life, especially by someone who I am paying for a service. But it doesn't stop there. The movers NEVER SHOWED UP and NO ONE CALLED ME. Their offices closed at 6pm, so no one was picking up the phone. After an hour of calling, someone finally picked up and said he was "unsure if anyone was coming tonight" and rescheduled me for the next morning. Had I not called 10 times, I would have been left waiting all night for movers who never showed, and a company who would not call me to tell me. That said, the movers themselves were amazing, hard-working people. It is such a shame they work for such an awful company. It is hilarious that the company prides itself on caring for their customers. If they really cared, maybe their business owner would respond to some of the negative reviews on Yelp instead of just the positive ones. read more

I have used a couple of moving companies in the past. None of them were close to the experience I had with 1st Class Moving. From start to finish they were extremely professional. The morning of my move, I was given a two hour window. The guys were there 10 minutes after the START of the 2 hour window! The movers worked quickly and were careful with all of my things. Next time I need movers, I will definitely call them. read more

absolutely horrible movers ~ do not trust a single review! they will take a 6 hour move turn it into 13 hours. literally watched movers carry out one kitchen chair at a time!!!! didn't use a dolly and brought out single liquor store boxes at a time. absolutely horrible experience. getting ready to move my daughter and can't believe 1 person would leave a positive comment read more

Horrible experience. They under estimated the quote. Had to call in a second truck. The initial team took way to long. A 5-6hr job turned into a 10hr job. Then they charged a arm and a leg. Do NOT recommend. Then when they left the moving from home they left all doors wide open with no one there. When the braugh the items into the new home they didn't put anything in the rooms they were supposed to go. read more

Wow!!!! What a wonderful moving service. Jose, Jorge and Christian were professional and very respectful of our needs in our move. They were good Ambassadors for the company. This was our 3rd move in 25 months and having energetic men to complete the job was a fresh surprise. (Considering it was so darned humid!!!). I would also like to give a positive "atta-boy" to Allen as he was very flexible with our crazy schedule and very attentive to our needs. We will recommend 1st Class to our friends and to our old Condo community. Again thanks for all you all did. And the Team did the pack and unpack with 2 hours to spare so we in essence got a discount!! Who-Who!!! Take care and be safe and strong. read more

The owner of this company is a very nice man. I called them the day before moving from Chicago after trying several moving companies. Many of the other companies were charging 600$ plus for a unloading of a 1bedroom. However, they were so great with the price and even flexible with me without charging me an additional fee for changing once I made it to the area. Once I made it to Baltimore I had to change my time and date and they changed it for me with no problem. I was able to get in contact with their team after hours. And they offered me the best rate! read more

An absolutely outstanding moving experience. Having moved at least 30 times in my life, these movers are in my top 3. I believe you will find no other movers in the DMV area who are as efficient and, more importantly, focused on taking care of all your home items being moved. First time in a long time I unpacked and found zero broken items. I cannot recommend this moving company highly enough. If you are wavering in going with another mover over 1st Class...do the smart thing and select 1st Class. read more
