I had had a great experience with them just last year when I last moved and knew they'd be able to get the job done again. My project was immediately responded to and they were able to help me move two weeks later on their soonest available date. The three movers, Pat, Renaldo, and Kevin were incredible. Communication leading up to the move and theday of was great. They were able to move all my large furniture within 2 hours. Everything was wrapped carefully and efficiently. They were kind and thoughtful, helping me make adjustments to the furniture layout once we got to the destination. Their positivity through one of the hardest situations I've ever gone through was much-needed and made me feel confident in entering this next chapter. I even had a last minute change to the destination (originally everything was going into storage but I ended up finding an apartment just in time), and the professionalism and patience from the entire Bookstore team through this change was excellent. Pricing was reasonable yet again and came out to about $500 (excluding tip) for the truck fee and moving of 16 large items. Thank you Bookstore Movers for helping me when I needed it most!

We were disappointed with our recent experience with Bookstore Movers. The crew was polite, but the…read moremove felt much slower and less efficient than it should have been. We had a dedicated elevator, yet workers often brought items down only one or two at a time. I also saw team members on their phones or standing around in rooms and hallways instead of actively moving things. These delays added up quickly. The crew also misplaced parts of our bed frame, and the pieces had to be found before it could be reassembled. That alone added nearly an hour to the move. Because the move took much longer than expected, the final cost was significantly higher than the estimate we received. We were also charged based on an arrival time that was recorded as ten minutes earlier than when the crew actually arrived. The team was courteous, but given the inefficiency, added time, and higher final price, we would not use Bookstore Movers again. This is unfortunate, because we had been happy with them in previous moves.

Scheduling this company and receiving a quote that was SPOT on, was amazing. The communication from Ana was perfect. She kept me in the loop about arrival time, send out a confirmation about my booking, and even helped me change my original date to something sooner. Originally, I was quoted a timeframe between 1-5pm, they showed up an hour EARLIER! To some this may have been the part where you panic, especially if you are running small items back and forth to your new place, to me?? This was PERFECT, because I was able to have a headstart for my long moving day. The truck was large enough, both movers came in and were polite, patient, and did not make me feel uncomfortable when handling my items. They wrapped all dressers, tv stands, coffee tables, and TVs and ensured everything was delivered carefully. No frills, no stalling for extra time (you do get charged hourly if you exceed your allowed time), and just straight to business. All in all, I do recommend booking for your next move, the price is unbeatable and the workers are great. Once again thank you very much!

I booked and paid online ( Jun 17th) and called the company the next day (Jun 18th) to confirm the time and date. They assured me everything was good to go. That was the last I heard from them until the morning of the move. Concerned by the lack of communication, I started calling at 6:00 AM. No answer. Called again at 7:00 AM and still nothing. No one returned my calls, no confirmation, no notice of any issues. At 8:00 AM, when the move was supposed to begin, the first mover, Delante, called and arrived. He was the only saving grace of this entire experience; polite, hardworking, and clearly caught in the middle of a mess he didn't create. He told me he had no idea where the second mover was. Shortly after, I finally got a call, not from the second mover, but from the owner, questioning why I had called earlier that morning. Instead of apologizing for the confusion or delay, he told me the second mover was injured and asked for patience and understanding because he's a small business. That excuse doesn't cut it. You're a business. I paid for a service. If you can't deliver it, you need to communicate and make it right, not guilt trip your customer. Even worse, I later found out that when the owner was finally made aware of the second mover's injuries, he reportedly told Delante to walk off the job and cancel on me entirely. Who does that? Leaving someone stranded on moving day, knowing full well that most people book moving services because they don't have support, is inhumane and shows zero professionalism. Delante stayed and did what he could, but one person handling a two-person job made the process slower and much more stressful. I ended up having to pay for additional time, despite the delays being the company's fault. No discount, no refund, not even a sincere apology. An alternate mover eventually showed up at 10:00 AM, two hours after my start time. What could've been done in 3 hours with two people ended up eating my entire day. I had to call in help from my ex-boyfriend, brother, and roommate just to get through it. The owner was dismissive, unapologetic, inconsiderate, and clearly more concerned with defending himself than doing right by a paying customer. I will never use this company again and do not recommend them to anyone. Delante was the only professional involved and the owner should be ashamed of how he runs this operation. If this is what qualifies as a "top-rated" service, I can't imagine what the bottom looks like.

Their price was fair and everyone worked extremely hard. I would have taken weeks to complete what they did in two days. The only words of caution I would give to you are to expect a staff with only one or two native English speakers . The other guys are working extremely hard to please and take feedback very well, though. you may need to be clear and demonstrate or write out how you would like the box labeled for them. I felt like they did their best to respect our home, not tracking too much dirt. They also ensured that they missed nothing in our previous home packing even the tiniest of things. When they ran out of packing supplies, they called their supervisor who came by with more boxes. We paid additional to have our treadmill moved, and that wentoff flawlessly. Moving is a stressful time already, and dealing with moving companies should not contribute to the stress. Case in point: Every other moving company I called required a byzantine procedure of an "estimate appointment" to even come over, look through our stuff, and estimate how much the move would cost. OMG, that's before even booking the move! Jacob answered the phone on a Sunday, asked me how many bedrooms, if I had heavy items (pool table/piano/etc.), and provided a quick estimate on the spot plus slotted me into the moving date I wanted right then and there. OMG, that was EVERYTHING! Thank you, Jacob. Now, onto the movers. They were quick, efficient, hard working, courteous, and DID NOT DAMAGE A THING. Not. A. Thing.
