I've been doing business with Chris and Prova for about a decade, if not longer. I do believe they do good work, and I've always known he charges top dollar(his shop rate is over $200 an hour), but I had no idea what was about to happen. He just charged me $820 to replace a set of trailing arms and 2 bushings. The most accesible ones. I know they were rusty, but wow! How much for the new guy? But that's not the worst of it. NOT including parts, and after all the parts and bolts had been replaced, he charged me $471 for an alignment. The average rate for an alignment on a Subaru AWD at Seattle dealership is $150. I'm sick to my stomach about being robbed. I wasn't shy about telling him how I felt, and he made excuses that I didn't buy. I believe in their quality, and went there, knowing I'd pay a little more. Little did I know... As I told him, they're awfully proud of their work. He asked me not to come back, as if I would, after such an egregious fleecing. I had an issue with my Chevelle that I couldn't diagnose and took it to PROVA to check out. Chris was kind enough to take time right away and test drive the Chevelle. After the drive he noticed a noise on the steering and found missing bolts. He then put on the Chevelle on the rack right away and put bolts in. Chris and his team are extremely knowledgeable and able to offer solutions for more out of the box issues, not just your standard remove and replace type work. They are upfront and easy to work with, and generally very quick. They helped me bleed and set up a very stubborn wilwood brake setup, whereas many other shops did not want to touch non factory systems. I was referred to the shop by an acquaintance, that had taken her car here. I met with Chris, the owner, and I was super impressed by his customer service skills and how he genuinely listened to my issues. I have a 2007 Nissan 350Z Nismo that had an annoying squeaking noise in the rear. Troubleshooting is a lost art, but Chris expertly took his time to find the cause. He could have tried to up-sale suspension components to fix the noise, but he didn't. He took the time to add a little silicone cushions in the upper shock mounts, and the noise went away, and I was only charged for labor. To me this is quality service! A short walk through his shop and you can see the high caliber of work this garage produces. From vintage cars to modern cars, I highly recommend this garage, and it will be my first stop for any issues I have with my car. read more
