I've taken my car to High Road a couple times now for light jobs - you know. Those annoying little things that you don't want to take to the same place that you go when you need a big job done. In my case the first visit my license plate screws were rusted on so I couldn't get them off to put on new plates. I took it down to High Road and it was taken care of in about an hour. They called me when it was ready, and I came right back over. My second visit again, that light (no pun intended) but annoying job - was literally a light job - changing out brake lights. Yeah I tried to do it myself and it was just frustrating getting the panel off. The technician did them both for me in like 20 minutes. Each of my visits it cost me a little over $35. Steep? Maybe a bit, but I've all but reached that point where these annoying little jobs are worth me paying a few dollars to get done in a few minutes. Especially when the technicians have the tools, the know-how and a garage. Yeah, doing any kind of car work when it's cold and or rainy outside is not fun. Each of my visits, the front staff were very pleasant, and I hear the same when they interact with others via phone or walk ins. It's also very convenient here which is also a plus, right on Leary ave., not hard to miss. The couple snags about High Road is parking is a bit tricky. The parking is usually taken up by other customer cars or nearby patrons of the breweries or other businesses so it's a tricky on a busy day. Also they're closed on weekends. That's a drag because I work all day on Weekdays so it's also tricky getting here at a time that works for me. It's a big letdown. Other than that, I've liked the service I've gotten here and will continue to come back. read more

These guys are just after your wallet, either that or they are completely clueless.Instead of going to the problem they will work from back to front of the issues,my experience at least with sensers. When an exhaust senser goes off it doesn't matter if its pre catalytic or post catalytic converter the 1st thing to pull is the oxygen senser in the air intake. If grime is on the senser give it a shot of wd40 or blaster to bring back to shiny, dry off reinstall. In the event this does not end the check engine light then you can start with the 2 sensers in the exhaust down pipe, best to replace both at the same time.End of story. You can buy 4 aftermarket sensers guaranteed to be as good as factory for what they wil l charge you. read more

My vehicle has been quite reliable for a long time, I keep up with the maintenance, I take care of my stuff. But one day my vehicle died on me while actually driving it, rolled into a perfect curb spot like a boss in Belltown. After about 10 mins, I was able to get it restarted and get it home. I've never taken my vehicle to any shops in the Ballard area before, so I hit up the ol' Yelp and read some reviews, this shop and a few others were on my list. High Road was able to have me drop off the next morning, I didn't want to drive far as I didn't want it to die on me again. So I dropped it off, told them what happened, they said they will diagnose it and give me a call later. Jumped on the bus and went home. They texted me and sent me an email later in the afternoon, gave them instructions with going ahead to get the repairs going, confirming some prices etc. The report they email/text you is pretty detailed and they also make recommendations on things they could handle while it is in the shop. I opted for some additional work on top of the main issue, like replacing some belts and replacing pressure caps. My vehicle was in the shop overnight but they said it would be ready by end of the next day. Came by to pick up my vehicle, it was ready when they said it would be, washed my vehicle up, prices were fairly reasonable, customer service was nice. Left and went home happy. I don't drive everyday but in the next week, I didn't realize there was a puddle of fluid leaking under my vehicle. After about a week or so, when I did realize it, there was an active leak coming from the radiator area. I called the shop on a Friday afternoon to see if I could drop it off and have them take a look at it again as the leak was pretty active. They said they were too busy and couldn't take me in until the next week on Monday morning, went ahead and scheduled. I was able to find a reliable shop that was open on Saturdays, it was on the Eastside of town, a lot farther than I wanted to drive. They took care of it, they said a wrong sized pressure cap was used on my radiator and that was what caused the leak and almost make my vehicle die again. On the following Monday, I called High Road advising them that I got my issue taken care of over the weekend and the problem was resolved by another shop. I requested a refund for the work they did to my radiator pressure cap, we worked out an agreement on what they would refund me back and said they could refund the funds back on my card while they had me on the phone. It took 4 days for the refund to show up, and the amount was not what we agreed on. As a first time customer, I won't be taking my vehicle there anymore in the future and wouldn't recommend them. It's a convenient location for me as I don't live far from there, service advisors were nice guys, the prices were fine and what I was expecting for the initial repair. The taking my vehicle back to the shop, the improper repair and refund was the reason for the 1 star. read more

High Road Automotive - Leaky radiator from improper work done. - Auto Repair Near Me - Seattle, Washington

When I moved to Seattle in the mid 90s, I bought a used car; I looked for a local shop that works on that brand often for the pre-sale inspection, and High Road had a great reputation for Honda (& Acura) / Subaru /Toyota (& Lexus) cars back then. High Road did a great job checking out that used car, and they've been my family's Seattle auto mechanic ever since. Over the decades they have a great record of advising needed service vs "let's keep an eye on that but it's OK for now" and they've kept several cars running great, we've never been steered wrong. On my recommendation, my parent and sibling have been bringing their cars to High Road since they came to Seattle, and they're still speaking with me. read more

I brought my car here because I was desperate to find a place to take my car to close to work and while looking for a place to take our companies cars to. The price is quite high and the diagnostic fee was also high. The customer service was alright. Professional but too professional to the point it was mono toned and tbh emotionless and kind of rude. They did do the work so I give them that. Parking was pretty bad. I think we shall be looking elsewhere for a regular mechanic. *** response to the owner *** That's totally fine and I am happy that you go through everything with a fine tip needle. And yea it's Ballard. It's an expensive area but I think customer service with a smile and a good attitude and not being passive aggressive goes a long way. Have a great day :-) read more

Great folks. High Road saved me $2300 compared to going to a dealer. We have a 2011 Nissan Leaf which developed a charging problem. It wasn't something my local West Seattle shop could repair and Burien Nissan wanted to charge an outrageous $3500, which is about what the car is worth. I started making calls to see if anyone knew an independent shop that worked on electric vehicle electrical systems. Ended up with High Road, and they were great to work with. Kept us up to date as they ordered the part, tested it in every way to make sure it worked, just really responsive. I'd recommend them for any electric vehicle work even you don't live nearby. read more

I started having problems with my car and they were able to take me in within a few days and they fixed my car issues the same day! Great service, nice people, good price. read more

I took my car in for a battery replacement and high road performed a "courtesy inspection" which pointed out several repairs that my vehicle needed. I had them perform the critical repairs which they charged me $2k for. After high road returned the vehicle to me the transmission failed within three days. I brought it back in and they wanted to charge me $6k for a new trans. The vehicle is older so it was not economically viable for me to repair. I am now without a car and down $2k. I found it fishy that the transmission failed immediately after I got the car back from High Road. Even if there was no foul play involved, you would think High Roads courtesy check would catch a failing transmission. There are several more honest and economical mechanics in the area. I would not recommend High Road. read more

I would highly recommend High Road - Excellent customer service and quality of work. I brought my car in due to some engine trouble, and they not only fixed that issue, but also did a full inspection on my car and found other problems that were brought to my attention. Matt and Michael were very good at communicating the issues their team saw and the progress of my repairs. They send very detailed reports for you to look over before you give them the approval to begin working. They also communicate through text, making it really easy. I do think their pricing is a bit on the high side, BUT I was extremely impressed with my car. I spent a good amount of $ on repairs and preventative maintenance, but it feels like I've got a brand new car now. Drives really nice and smooth, all the issues I had prior to bringing it in were fixed, and it was sparkling clean on the outside and inside. I really felt the team cared about me and my car, and did their best to fix and look at what they could. In short, their quality of work and customer service are superb, but it may come at the cost of a pricier bill. I think it's worth the money if you have it. Oh and last thing to add - they do provide loaner cars free of charge. Very convenient. The loaner car was nothing fancy, but it did the job. And as my car was in the shop for about a week, that loaner was a life saver. I'll definitely be coming back as long as I live in the area. Thanks High Road team! read more

I took my stick shift Honda Fit to them for years (I have since sold the car) and they were professional, proactive, and respectful always. The work was done well and no upsell issues. I would recommend this place to anyone without reservation. They even reminded me when service was due. I would still be going there except I sold the car. read more

They stripped the bolts when remounting tires and didn't do a thing to make things right.

I had a knock sensor code from a check-engine light, and my friend recommended these guys and said they're honest. They replaced the sensor and wire. They also found a wheel baring that needed to be replaced. The car is running fantastically now, and the bill was reasonable. I also like the fact that they communicate by text. I would strongly recommend them. read more

Found High Road on Yelp. I just moved into town and saw I needed an oil change so I gave them a call. They explained they are more than just an oil change place and that they do a full car inspection, so they're oil change is going to be a little more than the average person's oil change. Which I was fine with. I dropped my car off in the morning, they emailed me an inspection report mid afternoon and also gave me a call. The laundry list inspection was a little overwhelming to get. Change breaks $360, change shock absorbers $490, change drive belt $120, and it goes on and on.... well I know I just changed my drive belt end of December 2015, and it's April 2016, so truly I do not need to change my drive belt.... ya'll get the gist. I went in for an oil change and that's what I got. I got nothing extra. Friendly service, they were not pushy with getting things "fixed". Oil change for my Mazda came out closer to $60. Located in Ballard. read more

I hired High Road Automotive to do a pre-purchase inspection report on a vehicle. The focus of a pre-purchase inspection is to gather factual information on the vehicle's current condition. All they gave me was a routine maintenance schedule report with prices for them to perform maintenance. The report also showed it needed an alignment even though they could not check it as their alignment machine was out of service. Useless report as it did not have information of the condition of the car or indicate what was checked to make a decision to buy or not. Very expensive and inadequate. $165 down the drain. They refused to give me a refund. By the way, they charge $310 an hour. Stay away. read more

SAVE YOUR MONEY Sooo.. I would consider myself to be a "backyard mechanic ". I've fixed all my own cars from changing tail lights, to replacing the clutch in my truck. I usually prefer working on my own cars because it saves money, and I find it therapeutic. However, moving to the city meant moving away from my garage... About a week ago, my wife's car was making some terrible noises, and having some problems with power steering. Having no garage meant that I had to find a mechanic close by to take a look at the car. And after a quick review of yelp listings, I settled on highroad automotive. I called them up, and they were very accommodating. They were able to see me that same day. That's where the good review ends. For starters, they charged me a 50$ "rack fee" which seemed unnecessary. Especially since I have taken my BMW to a mechanic across the street (Stone's German Garage), and they've never charged me a fee to pull my car in the garage and take a look... But everyone needs to make a living, right? Fair. They called me up later that day and said the car was ready and I needed a new power steering pump, and a belt tensioner. They quoted ~875$!!!! HA! Not even.. The parts and labor should've come to 500(ish).. A power steering pump is an easy fix ( 1.5 hrs max) and the tensioner is even easier (only 2 bolts). That means they were over charging by DOUBLE! So I called around after I picked up the car and got 3 estimates from 470$- 577$. It gets worse. As I was driving home, the nut on the power steering pump pulley came loose and flew off, making a huge banging noise. I managed to get home, and look in the engine bay. The power steering pump leak that they had mentioned, nonexistent. The reservoir was full, and the ground was dry under my car (I may replace the pump soon any way because the car has 250k miles). The tensioner, I replaced it because It was a 30$ part, but it looked fine. After going to Ace Hardware, and buying a $1.75 nut and some thread lock I was back in business with no more noises.. In summary, this shop wanted to charge me 800-ish dollars for a job that didn't necessarily need to be done. They also, didn't take the time to thoroughly inspect and diagnose the issue with the car. Which means either they were neglectful, ignorant, or they're trying to take advantage of customers? None of those are qualities I want in A couple of turns with a wrench could've solved this problem, and made a happy customer.. oh well. read more

My elderly dad brought in his car to have his window switch repaired. When they completed the repair, they downplayed an issue with the switch for the driver side door lock. It doesn't work now when it was perfectly fine before the window switch repair. They didn't even offer to correct the mistake they clearly made. They made it seem like if it really bugged him that he would have to bring it in again at a later time and that they would charge him for the repair. I used to bring my car there for repairs too but they lost 2 customers. read more

I take my 2008 Prius to High Road Automotive for regular servicing. As with most places, an oil change can turn into something else. High Road always explains what they have found, how critical a service or repair might be, and they do what I ask on time and within their estimate. During my last service, they replaced two of my tires because they were worn. The tires came with a warranty. Less than a month later, I came to my car and discovered one of the new tires was flat. AAA put on my spare and I went back to High Road. They discovered my tire had been slashed, which was outside the warranty. Despite that, they replaced the tire at no charge. That kind of customer service is rare these days, and High Road will continue to see my Prius. They also will become our mechanics for our other vehicle, a Honda Odyssey. I am pleased to give them the highest of recommendations. read more

BEWARE!! I really dont like leaving bad reviews, but Yelpers need to hear this. Went in for a check up... Spent $2500 (at rates that made a 2nd mechanic chortle with disbelief) at this place for new struts and a few odds and ends. Within a month I was having serious issues: smoking from the engine, false starts, stalls, etc. Just took my car into another mechanic (as I wont let High Road anywhere near my car again) and I had serious issues that SHOULD have been spotted and fixed for what I just spent at High Road. Dont be fooled... this place is EXTREMELY expensive and does not deliver on that price point. Apparently, you dont always get what you pay for. read more

Excellent quality of work and service. It is expensive though. They have loaner cars which is really convenient.

I have been coming here for years. Yesterday my driver's side window was stuck in the open position. I park in an unsafe garage where I work, and was afraid to leave it there for the day. I left work, and arrived at High Road Automotive 45 minutes before they opened. I met Stan, one of the employees, and told him my dilemma. He was so kind, and allowed me to leave my car there so I could return to work. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the service here. read more

They failed to catch a very glaring missing part during a complete inspection I paid $168 after tax for. The staff were kind and the process with simple and easy. The line item of what was inspected and given actual measurements on include tire tread, 12v battery health, wiper blade wear, headlight yellowing, noticing soft operation of shock absorbers, coolant condition, and brakes. The estimates given for each were pretty fair - $60 for both wipers, $350 for 12v battery replacement (it's about 30 minutes of labor and a $170 part on my hybrid). A few other recommendations for replacement of consumable parts/fluids were made based on assumptions of mileage and age without knowing service history - such as recommending replacing the cabin air filter that I had replaced two days earlier. The line items of what was inspected was practically identical to the free Les Schwab inspection. I'm more than happy to pay a fair price for labor from a local shop and the Les Schwab deal is their unique marketing practice, so that would be fine with me if it weren't for one glaring thing they failed to catch. The entire driver side rear wheel well was fully missing, which I learned days after the inspection from hearing how the car sounds driving in the rain. Something that would be visually caught by anyone spending 10 minutes thoroughly looking at the exterior of the car. It makes me skeptical of how thorough the inspection was, and if I'd known a few days earlier I don't have a wheel well, I could've avoided potential damage caused by driving in the rain without one. read more

I took my car to High-Road auto BECAUSE of its rating here on Yelp. A few things went wrong...which usually doesn't end up in me giving a 5-star rating to a place of business. A simple human-error was made on their part that resulted in some damage to the body of my car but they made it right. MORE than right. How this situation was handled and the integrity and honesty displayed by everyone working at High-Road proves that they are worthy of 5 stars. I will recommend this shop to anyone and everyone. They are great. Truly HONEST, REPUTABLE, and they employ salt-of-the-earth human beings. Not once did I feel like I was being sold on something I didn't need. Nor did I feel like I do in most auto-shops which is that the mechanics are trying to take advantage of my lack of car knowledge. ("Ma'am...you're blinker fluid is low so we are going to need to replace that, too. $50." I work with a gal who actually fell for this!) The way they owned up to their error and the solution proposed let me know that I was dealing with a group a very good people. What happened to my car could have happened at any mechanic shop. It probably does on the daily. And most places would just sweep it under the rug and hope you didn't notice. Or not take full accountability. Or just not even be honest about how it occurred. Or not offer to cover expenses or waive the costs of the repairs already done (which they did for me). I am 100% convinced that the great way they took care of me and the way they resolved the situation (with the scales tipping heavily in my favor) could only have happened at High-Road auto. I am so thankful this is where I took my car to get fixed. Even despite them accidentally breaking my hood. I highly HIGHLY recommend this place. read more

So happy to post another great review for High Road. My husband and I have taken our cars to HRA for almost 30 years. We specifically buy Hondas so that we can continue to have the HRA team be our mechanics. We trust them completely, and value their high integrity. As an example of their integrity, we recently bought one of their loaner cars, a 1995 Honda. The transmission failed two weeks later. Even though we specifically bought the car "as is," the HRA team was so chagrined that one of their cars failed, they installed a new transmission in the car for us for free. read more

High Road is great. My family has been faithfully taking their cars there for years and we have all been very happy with the experience. They are not the cheapest mechanics ever, but they are very thorough and honest. My husband was in town today to purchase a used car. He took it to High Road for an inspection. It was $160, but it was the most thorough inspection ever and took about 3 hours. They revealed a lot of subtleties about the car that did not show up on the CarFax and of course the dealership was not going to reveal them. They recommended that the car was only worth about half of what it was being priced at, so of course we did NOT buy it. read more

They're good men. And thorough. Whenever you take your car in they give you a prioritized list of what should be done and help you plan when it will all get done. They're really honest about a "you could crash and die" problem vs a "you might want to get this fixed at some point" problem. I've never had to leave my car there longer than they said I would. When I took my old beater car there, I got a big list of costly things to fix, but I also got a talking-to from Josh who said "honestly, you should just trade this car in and get a different one rather than having us fix all these things." So I did, and now High Road gets 100% of my business for my new, in-great-shape car! read more

Jim, Pam, Matt and team have been wonderfully helping us stay trouble free on the road with our Subaru and Toyota for 7 years now and their service just continues to be great. High Road has the personable feel of a small town mechanic who knows you and your car well with the know how, technology and supplier network of a big city to get your work done quickly. Just before a short summer road trip, they squeezed us in, replacing and securing some very worn rare tires for our finicky Toyota allowing us to tackle the PNWs most challenging forest service roads. Very grateful I've recommended them to many and will continue to do so. read more

I've been coming to High Road Automotive for about a year and will continue coming here even after I sell my old car. This shop specializes in maintaining old vehicles. Pam and her team are great - they are never pushy with what needs to be done on my car. When I was on a college budget, they told me the essentials that needed to be fixed to maximize the life of my car. The best example of how committed they are to their customers is when I was driving across the state from Spokane to Seattle. My car started making a roaring noise; I freaked out, called them, and asked what it could be based on my prior inspection reports. Pam listened to my car via the phone and gave her best guesses to what the problem was without seeing it. I truly appreciate that she took the time to try and make sure I was safe! read more

OMG. Found these guys thru Yelp - I OWE YOU ALL BIG-TIME. Amazingly customer-service oriented. Gave me a classic Honda Accord loaner, I didn't have to beg. E-mailed me a comprehensive report on the state of my car (Nissan XTerra), which I read while sitting in a Ballard coffee shop, after picking up some things at the practically next-door Trader Joe's. Only drawback: I love Ballard, but navigating there is like trying to find the way out of Hell. Google maps is as likely to get you killed as get you where you're going. So now you know how much I like High Road - I'd drive in Ballard to take my car there. read more

We love these guys. You can find cheaper auto service elsewhere but you will not find anything near the experience, integrity, honesty, respect, and craft that these guys have. And that makes the price more than worth it. Really this is the best value for servicing your Japanese car in Seattle. One thing you'll love is the full inspection report you'll receive with clear price quotes and level of severity. Other places provide this too but they usually come with the vibe of a high-pressure sale. You've probably experienced this. The mechanic will say, "I just want to go over a few things on the report with you," and you'll start to feel like they are just coughing up a bunch of made-up repairs into a report and telling you that it needs to be fixed right now. But I've never received that vibe from High Road. They are very thorough in their report, but they also are clear about things that should be done but don't absolutely need to be done today. I grew up working on cars with my dad so I have a good BS-detector for that stuff and they have always been perfectly honest about the condition of our car. read more

My ex wife liked to remind me every so often that she'd known these guys longer than she knew me. Her first experience with them was sometime in '88 I believe. When they fixed a minor problem for her for free when she drove up concerned one day. (back then I believe they were called "Dr. Honda" * ) Of course, when I entered my wife's life I was skeptical. It took me a few years, but they won me over. ** Tom, Fred, Don, and the rest of the crew provide solid analysis of what needs doing, excellent explanations, and an attitude of partnership with you in caring for your car. *They now service pretty much all Japanese makes. ** To give you an idea of how much they have won me over, even though my wife and I have split we will share custody of the mechanic. ***I save 5 star ratings for perfection. Since perfection is so rare my highest ratings tend to have been fours. If you own a honda, acura, or toyota do yourself a favor and check them out. read more

Why have I left High Road languishing at four stars all this time? My mistake, they really are great. Still not sure if they are the cheapest mechanic around, but they are the friendliest and most honest that I've run into. When I had to have warranty work done, they called Honda and checked my VIN number to make sure I was eligible, explained the warranty extension and recommended the dealership with the most helpful customer service before they sent me on my way. I appreciate these guys more every time they work on my car. read more

I'm actually kind of glad that my relatively new Civic is no longer under warranty. For some reason I felt compelled to take it to the dealer while it was under warranty. Now I get to drive out of my way and take it to my favorite trusty mechanic s- the folks at High Road Automotive. Back in 1994 I bought a used (1986 - 60,000 miles) Acura Integra. High Road gave me a laundry list of things that needed to be addressed in order of priority, marking the items that were safety issues, those that should be addressed soon and those that can wait. In the 12 years I owned the car that list never was completely without some maintenance issue to anticipate but my car was NEVER off the road in need of repair. These guys are pro-active and not the least expensive auto mechanics you'll find, and they only work on Honda, Toyota, Nissan & Subaru products (I think), but they are great mechanics, easy to work with and honest as can be. I want nothing more from my auto repair dudes and look forward to dealing with these folks again soon. I trust that they'll keep my 2006 Civic running trouble free for the next 15+ years. read more

I love these guys. The service is so good at this place that it actually makes me happy to get my oil changed. I love that they're super friendly. I love that they're trustworthy. I love that their prices *seem* to be reasonable. I love that they take time to explain things clearly to the mechanically-challenged. My absolute favorite thing about this shop is that they are tuned in to the digital age. I leave my car with these guys for a day every three (or four or five) months - they do an oil change and a thorough inspection. Half way through the day, they *email* me a PDF that summarizes all of the issues they found in their inspection. Everything is prioritized based on safety, importance, etc. They then call me and talk me through the PDF. They make recommendations on what I should have fixed and what can wait. They give totally pragmatic advice on how long I should wait on safety issues. I never feel like they're trying to talk me into doing something that's not really necessary. Thanks to them, my little '95 Honda Civic will keep on kickin' for many years to come. Thanks, High Road! read more

DONT WASTE THE EXTRA FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR" Les Schwab service" it is customer serve us! GO TO DISCOUNT TIRE! I was a lifetime LS customer, but I purchased my last set at discount tire and had no problems with them. It had been so long since I shopped for tires, I asked 2 friends to help me. They both said LS may cost more but the service is better, discount now has hidden fees etc. So, on I went to LS, after being sent to multiple locations, I ended up at an Everett location, they put tires on my car for 850.00 they put all the paperwork in someone else's name and handed it to me in the LS package as they were closing and we headed out the door. I opened my paperwork and noticed they put put it on someone else's acct. I went back in, they were closed. It took a few hours of phone calls the next day and speaking to regional manager to get ppwk in my name. Today my rear tire is wabbling, called LS, busy for an hr so I drove in. They can get me in December 23rd! I called NG discount and they said come in we will take care of it today at no charge even though they are LS tires. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! read more

Fixed the AC on my 2009 Civic. Thankfully didn't require a new compressor, just some stuff adjacent to it. I've taken my cars to High Road for the last 10 years and I've had overwhelmingly positive experience. I've never had the time to become knowledgeable in how to fix my own car, but the crew at High Road does a fabulous job educating me about my car. The detailed review is so helpful in understanding and planning for upcoming maintenance needs. In addition to taking my cars here for maintenance, I've had them check out my last used car before I purchased it, which was awesome, because I got to know exactly what issues I was purchasing, rather than the big question mark that often accompanies used cars. Just wanted to add one more 5-star review for High Road because they deserve it. The employees are kind and trustworthy. I moved to Seattle from Ohio and didn't have any word of mouth recommendations to go off of for a car shop. I chose High Road because of all the good reviews on Yelp, and I'm so glad I did. I have an old Toyota that needs a lot of work. Like everyone else mentioned, they will generate a report for you that documents the repeats you need now, in a few months, and within a year. This is helpful for me because I can send the report to my dad for a second opinion. I also want to highlight the level of customer service at High Road. They will provide a loaner car if you need one. I took my car in on a Friday and couldn't make it back by the end of the day, so they let me use the loaner all weekend. The second time I took my car in, I had a crazy day at work and completely forgot to go back to High Road by 5:30 to pick up my car.
