I have never had a car repair experience like this, ever. Unbelievable. Professional and friendly. Yusha promptly checked me and took down some symptoms. Right away everyone knew my name. A gentlemen came over and said "hello Michael, I am Moses. Tell me what is going on with the car." He listened intently. Asked a few questions. "Michael, let me get to work." Another gentlemen came over. "Michael, I am Sol. We are going to take care of you. We will call you in about an hour." I am car stupid. Moses called with the diagnoses and clearly communicated the problem and the estimated cost. After the work was complete the final bill was a little over 9% less than the estimate! When I came to pick up the car a problem was discovered at the last minute. Moses and Sol explained the problem would be hard to discover earlier. My heart sank. More money. Sol said "Michael, we are going to take care of you. This is on us. we didn't catch it. We are going to replace the part at no charge." I would take my car back to Bay's. These folks treat you as human not an ATM. Please give these folks a call. Thank you Lang's towing for recommending Bay's Auto Repair. Went in for body damage and came out looking fresh off the showroom floor. Moses expertly repaired my car at a fraction of the cost of the competition, was honest, expedient and just constantly impressive with his breadth of knowledge on a car that is not that common - so refreshing to have a garage I can trust. Yusha at the front desk can multitask like a genius, I watched her help 5 customers at once without missing a beat. I would recommend them to anyone with any type of car, best service ever. read more

Bay's Auto Repair Service - Alfa Romeo Stelvio at Bay's Auto Repair - Auto Repair Near Me - Seattle, Washington

They quoted me a high price for services which another shop told me were unnecessary.

I've always had amazing service here. I've been coming for years for oil changes and any maintenance I need, and they're consistently reliable and professional. Today I had an emergency when a metal rod got tangled in my tire, and they helped me right away and got it fixed immediately. I'm so grateful for their quick help! read more

I've had a few incidents with my service van in the past few months: I hit a curb, I hit a post, and also had a strut come loose one day while driving. On all three occasions, they fixed the problem on the same day and it was perfect and reasonably priced. read more

Sal is great, did quick work and was transparent about pricing. I needed both rear bearings replaced on my '14 Subaru Crosstrek and was in and out same day, less than 8 hours. The bearings were super seized and making a horrible grinding noise above 20mph so I expected the worst. I got an estimate for the work over the phone and had in confirmed in-shop. Everyone was super friendly and they didn't try to push any extra repairs on me. Thanks to Sal for the great work :) I'll be back if I need anything else for my car! PS--my roommates also go here and have always had great work done! read more

Bay's sorted me out for close to $150 less than other mechanics I called, and got the job done extremely quickly. When the invoice came out to more than the original verbal quote, Yusha honored the price originally quoted. Highly recommended, thanks Moses and team! read more

I had wonderful experience at Bay's Auto Shop. My dealership was going to charge me thousands of dollars to assess cam tower leakage. I brought my car to Bay's Auto for a second opinion. They evaluated my car and explained to me about the various components involved. They cleaned the components of concern and put oil dye, then ask me to drive around and return to them for another assessment. They were more thorough and attentive than my dealership. I returned in a week and a half which they checked my car and didn't see anything concerning. They helped me saved a lot of money and the service was excellent. Highly recommend anyone with car issue to come here! read more

Service was quick and very helpful. Moses was effective and honest, and I would definitely come back if I had any car issues near Ballard.

Was not happy with the work. I would have had to come to the shop 3x to get one thing fixed. I just took my car somewhere else. I think the prices were fair when I used them. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. The new ownership lie and try to intimidate you. He charged me a $206 diagnostic fee that I did not agree to. He verbally harassed me while making me watch a video he said was of me agreeing to this fee. Just don't go here, do not support these people. read more

I had the best experience with Bay's! My car battery died just around the corner from their shop, and they kindly walked over and jump- started it for me so I didn't have to get a tow. They quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty alternator and had it replaced and the car ready for me to pick up in just a couple hours. Special shout out to Yusha and Moses. Thanks for being so awesome! read more

Unbelievable. I wanted scratches buffed out and my front bumper repaired and painted. I was quoted $4,300. Did the business think I was naive and gullible because I was from out of state or because I was a woman? They were aggressive and intent on getting me to open a payment plan, which I did not do. Mechanic had already pushed my car into the bay before I had agreed to have the work done. I would not trust this business. I feel they are scammers. I am thankful for all humans who actually have morals. I took my car to M-Auto Service and they quoted me $580.00 to complete the work. Hmm, guess who I hired. read more

Went in for blown fuses $200 for a diagnostic $600 for parts and work (lol) failed to change all fuses, told me it needed a replacement ABS, took to a different mechanic, didn't need a replacement ABS, just needed the job finished regarding changing the fuses. Avoid this immature owner and unprofessional mechanics read more

Don't. Don't use this shop. Drove my car in for a routine annual inspection. Had to tow my car to another service center to fix the computer. Lights, windows, turn signals didn't work. My car was worse off by going to Bays. Customer service was atrocious. Even if it was a fluke, they didn't offer to help in any way. Didn't offer to pay for a $100 tow, didn't connect me to another service center, didn't do anything to help remedy the situation. When the tow truck picked it up Bays put a bag in the window they rolled down and couldn't get back up, but didn't tape the bag. Just no customer service effort at all. read more

Great mechanic! My car's battery charging light came on. I called at 5:20 pm and they said to bring it in the next morning. I dropped it off at 9, they diagnosed and told me how much it was going to be by 9:30, and it was all fixed by 12! Very quick service. They were straight and to the point. read more

Got spark plugs changed for my Mercedes E350 W212. Sal and his team were able to accommodate quickly. Price was fair. 1.5 hours labor, $225. He even suggested I buy the spark plugs myself as it would be cheaper. Same service was dealership would be insanely more. read more

Brought my BMW here to fix a parking sensor. I was quoted over $300 in repairs at multiple local garages. Sal was able to do it for less than $40. Highly recommend Bay's for your automotive needs! You can not beat the overall customer service, care, and level of detail at this establishment. Moses was extremely friendly and knowledgeable! His thorough look at our car identified a very unique issue from our recent tire replacement. If you're looking for the best in Ballard, go to Bay's, and we will most definitely be back! read more

Bay's Automotive has been my go-to mechanic shop for the past couple of years. I felt a twinge of concern when I learned that the fabulous Bay was retiring but I have to say my entire experience with the new owner Sal and his crew has been nothing short of exceptional. Sal has gone above and beyond in solving some car issues for me and to top it off he is such a nice person! If you are looking for an honest, ethical, solid mechanic Bay's Auto is the place to go. You will get nothing but 5-star service. Thank you Sal & Jacob so much for taking care of me and my "problem child" Fiat. We appreciate you so much! read more

Honestly was paramount. We came in for an oil change and tire rotation. We also asked to have a thorough look over since our daughter's car gets lots of mileage. They did not recommend any other work be done. If you want a trustworthy mechanic this is the place! read more

Bay's extremely honest and one of the best mechanics I've ever worked with. One of the headlights on my car had gone out. Upon close examination the ring casing holding onto the headlight shattered. Bay took a look and told me of my various options. He suggested that I order the whole headlight unit online and have it delivered. I was a bit impatience and went to the dealer to see how much it would cost to get it fixed and they quoted me $450 for the headlight with an additional $150 service charge to put in the new headlight unit. Taking Bay's suggestion, I ordered my headlight unit online and got it for $116. He ended up replacing the new headlight for only $40. Bay takes the time to listen to your concerns and worries when you take your car in. His team here is really down to earth and honest and if they don't have time for your car that day, they'll let you know. read more

So amazed by the quality of service here! I came in the morning of Christmas Eve because our car had an unexpected problem right before we were supposed to go on a long road trip, and Bay was able to fit us in right away. He found an issue with our splash shield and fixed it right away. He was patient with my questions and showed me what had happened. As I was leaving, I realized there was another issue, and after some quick trial and error testing, he figured out the issue with a rock in our axle. Very impressed by his abilities as a mechanic and also his friendliness. Great prices to top it off too. I highly recommend coming here read more

I have been going to Bay's Automotive for several years with excellent results every time. Bay is semi-retired and now works a few days a week but there is a great team of several mechanics who are just as knowledgeable, fair, and downright nice. You will notice the shop has been organized, a new lift has been added, and they will be painting and updating the interior. I'm grateful to Bay, Sal, and the new team for doing great work at affordable prices. read more

These people are fantastic. My A/C went out on my 2004 Avalanche. Not only did they fix that so it's freezing cold, they also took care of a faulty oil pressure sensor, and 2 anti-knock sensors that had been making my check engine light come on. They did the repairs in just one day, the price was certainly reasonable, and they are all so polite there. I am 100% satisfied with their service. read more

My car was oil-leaking and I was referred by my friend to Bay's. The store is clean and tidy and the staff are nice and friendly. The mechanician was knowlegable and told me the steps and explained to me patiently when he wanted to figure out what was wrong with my car. The price was fair. Sal and Jacob were hardworking with my car. Will definitely come back for sure and recommend to my friend. read more

Got my car into the shop same day, finished what he was doing and fixed my car (it wasn't a difficult issue, some places I called in Ballard had me waiting 5-10 days to just see my car). I was happy to pay him what he asked. Will use again!! Hard to find a mechanic you trust so fast. read more

I'm so glad that I found this place! I've been taking my car here for about 6-7 years now and this is definitely the best auto repair shop I've ever been to. They always do a good job, they're fast, friendly and charge reasonable prices. I especially like the fact that they don't pull the standard B.S. auto shop stunt of presenting you with a huge list of things that are supposedly wrong with your car that need to be fixed right away or your car will fall apart. I know absolutely nothing about cars and I hate being confronted with this situation. I think that only one of the guys that works here speaks any English and he can be a bit difficult to understand but the fact that he is friendly and easy going more than make up for it. Save yourself a headache and take your car here! read more

Last minute I realized I was way overdue for an oil change. My usual place couldn't get me in for a while. I looked at yelp reviews for places that were open on a Sat and found Bay's. I called them up and they told me to come by that morning. I dropped my car off at the allotted time and they were done in less than an hour even though they were busy working on a bunch of other cars. Everyone was really nice and helpful and the price was very reasonable. It's located right across the street from Rueben's in Ballard. Definitely will be back and it's so nice that they are open on a weekend day. read more

Fast and reliable. Great value. Great job- all repairs have worked first time. I have had Bay's do a timing belt/ water pump job & new shocks + struts + front brake rebuild on my '02 Sienna & Rear bearings on '05 Subaru Impreza recently. Bay's does not seem to have the time or will to offer you repairs that you do not need. If, like Mike B, U don't have flexibility in your schedule: go to a a Ballard boutique garage down the street and pay double so Bay's has more time for the rest of us. HA! read more
