Great honest mechanic. Went to this shop for liftgate strut replacement. One strut failed and cracked the mounting bolt, so the bolt had to be drilled out. Jeff told me that drilling it out could be a nightmare and may take several hours. When I got to the shop later that day to pick up the car Jeff told me the bolt actually went out quite easily and charged me half of the initial estimate. I appreciate the honesty and will certainly be back when I need another repair. read more

Called and spoke to Jeff. Was able to get an appointment within a few days (usually book 2 weeks out). Was convenient location and we were able to do a night drop. The vehicle was in for a thorough once over (oldest child moved for school from out of state). Got called around 12 with updates that all it needed was front brakes. Vehicle was done and ready for pick up by 3pm. They checked everything over and said to come back for the next major service. Pricing was in line with what our mechanic in CA would charge. Honest and only fixed what needed to be addressed. Will be having them do work other than oil changes and tire rotation as needed going forward! read more

The pricing is consistently fair, but the customer service by the owner is far from desirable. He is extremely short with you on the phone and try's to end the conversation quickly not allowing you to ask questions. If you are fortunate to have his son pick up the phone, He is very polite and makes you feel well cared for a a customer. His son is a unicorn when it comes to customer service. read more

I just had a great experience with Johnson's Auto Repair. I've only had oil changes or covered warranty repairs, so I had some anxiety about taking my car in for a repair for the first time. I don't know much about cars, don't have family around, and I'm probably the target demographic for being scammed. Johnson's was able to get me in day after I called, due to some cancellations. I dropped my car off around 7:30am, and it was ready by 1pm! There is a bus stop right near the shop, so that worked out great. Jeff called around 10:30, before they did the work, and when I showed up to get the car, it costed exactly what was quoted. Everything is working great, and they even fixed the random, annoying noise that was probably caused by dog hair being stuck in the vents. Before I brought my car in, I asked my dad (admittedly not a mechanic) about how much it should cost, and the final cost was very close to what he said. I will go there again when the back brakes go out, or I hear another questionable noise. read more

This is arguably the best repair shop I have ever been to. I called to request an alternator replacement and if they could get me in, they provided an estimate over the phone and got me in same-day. They were true to their word following completion of the work with great value and no hidden agendas to say more things were wrong. They are welcoming and friendly from the second you walk in the door to after completion. They even got it done earlier than they thought. Had an amazing experience with Johnson's Auto Repair last week. After my car died for the second time in as many days the weekend before a long road trip, I was feeling more than a little frazzled. Johnson's was able to get me in the day after I called, despite being incredibly busy. I dropped my car off first thing in the morning, and it was ready to go by 1pm. Came back to get my van looked at when I noticed it wasn't accelerating normally. My check engine light came on and I called. They told me to drop it off Monday morning first thing and they'd look at it. I did and they were able to quickly find and fix the issue. The price was on par for the service and they also let me know I had visitors chewing on my wires and that there were things to repel the rodents from getting into the engine and chewing it up. My girl is back on the road and I'm happy I found a solid place near home to take her if I need anything. Johnson's is the best! read more

They went through the other shops list and found indeed half of the stuff quoted needed no work and were able to quote the needed work at a reasonable price. I had a rather unusual repair request. It required more of a creative approach because there aren't a whole lot of 1982 Celica parts around these days. The hood release was broken, so they designed a whole new part that works great! The battery kept going dead, so they spent quite a bit of time trying to track down the mysterious battery leak. I asked if they could just make it so I could more easily disconnect and reconnect the battery, so they made a cool little green dial that makes it that makes that easy to do. As it turns out, they have some robotics training I didn't know about. I highly recommend them! read more

Ladies, I found a really honest mechanic and I would give 10 stars if I could!! I really don't like working with car dealerships or mechanics because they think women don't know anything about cars and try to rip us off. My car failed to start one day and was towed to Johnson's Auto. They found that my keys and fob needed to be reprogrammed at a car dealership. The dealership replaced the car antenna to reprogram my keys. Along with that, they ran a bunch of complementary tests and quoted me another $3000 for the repairs that need "immediate attention". I brought their inspection report to Johnson's Auto and had them compared with their findings. Johnson's Auto found nothing wrong with my car and they said they can't believe what the dealership tried to sell me!! John's Auto also didn't charge me anything - just too nice!! They just saved me $3000. I am very happy to find a honest and trustworthy mechanic. A few neighbors of mine also recommended Johnson's Auto, and they were totally right. Folks here are honest (we've taken the same car to two shops--first for a pre buy inspection and then here to get the actual work done--and both reported exactly the same things) and are upfront about what work needs to be done now or what can wait. I called ahead about getting my radiator replaced, they quoted me $1000 less than other shops and asked me to drop my truck off on an evening in the after hours drop and had it done for me by noon the next day. When I lived in Seattle for grad school, I came to Johnson's for my oil changes and other auto work. I asked my uncle in the area where he got his car worked on and this was the place he recommended. I can definitely see why... As a woman in car shop, I always prepare myself to be hustled financially or made to feel like a dumb girl...or worse, whistled at. Zero of those terrible things happen at Johnson's. They did good, fast work on my car and were always very professional. Once the undercarriage of my car came down a little bit...I asked them if there was anything they could do and they pretty much fixed it at no extra cost. I took my Civic here after moving to the neighborhood, squeaky brakes and all. They set you up on the phone, give you the drop-off instructions, ask a couple questions, fine. I liked how the guy was businesslike and friendly enough. When I went to pick up, we had some appropriate small talk. There was no funny business with the price or other services that popped up, so that was good. I immediately noticed the difference in my brakes. Yup, definitely new pads. And then the next day, *squeeeeeeek*. I called, and the guy told me to bring it right in and they would test it. Great. I go to pick it up after the test only to have him say that he couldn't hear it. (But they took a look anyway and found them "perfect.") What? So I drove it around, and couldn't hear it either. Ug. A couple days later, there it was again. Now, the guy said when I picked the car up: "If you hear it again, just come by and pull one of us into the car." I thought about that. I also thought about the fact that the squeak is occasional and very faint. I have really good ears. I know that when ears have been working in a loud environment for many years, they lose their ability to hear fine sounds. Okay. Slack cut, and four stars given, gladly. read more

Best auto shop around! I would choose this place over Les Schwab and other places any day! The employees were super accommodating and friendly. My experience: I dropped my car off to have a spare tire replaced with a new tire. After dropping my car off I called to ask them if they could check the back latch on the hatchback because it wouldn't open. When I called back an hour later they said they had everything fixed and my car was ready for pickup. When I picked my car up I was expecting the bill to be $200+; however, it was only $20! The guys just charged me for the mounting and balancing of the tire and said the latch fix wasn't hard so they did it for no charge! I went to the Subaru dealer a month ago and they said it would cost $150 to fix the latch, what a rip off! If I ever need something done on my car I will come here because I know I can trust them. read more
