Well, I think I just met the most honest auto mechanic in my entire life. And I'm 60 years old. I was having issues with my car. I took it into one shop and they told me it was the catalytic converter and it was gonna be $2500. I felt like that was a lot of money so I just called Shoreline auto clinic to get a quote on a catalytic converter. Their quote was $500 less so of course I'm gonna go with that. I drive my car in just to leave it overnight, and the owner of the shop, I'm so sorry I don't know his name, but he looked at my car and told me I just needed new spark plugs. I was a little shocked. I'll be honest because I felt I needed a catalytic converter from what other mechanic had told me. but he looked at my car and it wasn't the catalytic converter. It was the spark plugs. So far my car is running great and it saved me almost $2000. . I can't express the gratitude I have and I know that if I have any further issues I will go there, and he will be completely honest with me. Not only that you guys, the customer service is spectacular. From my first phone call, she knew who I was every single time. And when I walked in, she knew exactly who I was. It showed me how attentive they are to their customers. And when I got there, we had a great chat. It was just like hanging out with an old friend. They kept me up-to-date on everything when the spark plugs would arrive, what time I would be out of there and gave me an exact quote and didn't try to pull any fast ones on me. Highly recommend this place. I will continue to use them just because they are great people and honest , he really could've gotten $2000 out of me because I did not know what's wrong with the car. I want to share my tenant's excellent experience with Shoreline Auto Clinic, which followed a stressful car repair ordeal. Two months after moving to the area and purchasing a 2017 Mercedes-Benz from CarMax, her car began backfiring due to a failed camshaft--a known issue with this model. Shoreline Auto Clinic completed the initial repair, which was covered by the CarMax extended warranty. However, a week ago, the new camshaft failed. This time, the warranty company sent the car to Mercedes-Benz in Lynwood, who estimated the repair at over $9,000. Mercedes-Benz claimed the new failure was Shoreline Auto Clinic's fault for not replacing 'recommended' additional parts, voiding the warranty coverage. Jori at Shoreline Auto Clinic fiercely defended his work. Even while on vacation, he stayed engaged and proved the failure wasn't due to missing parts, but rather a design flaw in the camshaft itself (a fault Mercedes-Benz corrected in 2019). Jori even made a video comparing the faulty part to a new one, clearly showing the camshaft head had spun. Thanks to Jori's diligence, the extended warranty agreed to cover the repairs a second time, and my tenant got her car back. Jori's commitment went above and beyond--he stayed fully engaged in a dispute between the warranty company and Mercedes-Benz out of genuine care for his customer. Difficult to find a place that will work on my older car, even for just oil changes. Called to make an appointment and was able to book my car service within the week! Prices were very fair and I was given diagnostic info that prior shops missed. Gave me options to fix issues, no hard sell for unnecessary repairs. My new neighbor car service shop! read more

I had a minor issue with my car, the side indicator wasn't working. So, went to Shoreline Auto Clinic because it is closest to my house. I though it will take a while before someone shows up to fix it and then charge an unjustified amount. But I was surprised by their quick response, they were able to fix it in couple of minutes and above all didn't charge anything for replacing the bulb. 100/10 recommend this mechanic! I googled them looking for a near by shop desperate because my car was not drivable and I depend so much on my car as a single mother with work and kids. I called a couple prior who wouldn't even give me an estimate of the service without brining it in and paying $200 for the eval and even then it would take over 2 weeks for them to work on it. I called him told him what was wrong based on a check from Les Schwab and provided codes... Rory immediately gave me an estimate which was quite more affordable than what I could gather from other shops... and told me to bring it on in. I did. Later that day he called stating there was more issues because when my vacuum pump exploded the metal went into my motor- He told me how much it would roughly be given the complexity of what had to be removed to get to it and the flushed that would need to take place and I couldn't afford it so I told him I would tow it and bring it back when I could afford it. He advised different because it would be more expensive to take things off he did thus car again..but most importantly moving it at all even with a tow risked my engine blowing and he already tested it and we were luckily in good shape at the time to save it. He texted me pictures of what it looked like.. what my vacuum pump looked like where it exploded and what the new one looked like and explained to me what I was seeing. I told him I couldn't afford it still so he said I could keep it there at the shop, they would fix it and I could pay it off in a couple weeks when I got paid- which would save me on the tow and the "rework" by a couple hundred. I didn't know this man at all. Never met him. Never took my car to his shop. I didn't even know anyone who had before- he was well aware how desperate I was and I just googled him. YET he treated me with compassion, honestly, and was concerned about my financial state instead of pushing my car in and out. When I got the complete invoice, it was a little less than even what he quoted me... and he could have charged me the quote and I would have never known. I will 100000% recommend him to everyone and never take my car somewhere else. read more
