Very honest small shop. They do excellent work. Much cheaper than what the dealers charge for same repairs. They stuck to estimate.

If you're searching for a new mechanic, this is ABSOLUTELY the shop you want to go to. All of the reviews rave about this place for a reason. Mike is so warm and friendly. He takes his time explaining the repairs that are needed. These guys really go above and beyond to help people out. I had a part go out in my 2017 Ford Escape that was hard to find. They squeezed me in on a Friday to look at it and Mike realized it matched a part he had for his own car. I could have been waiting for days and instead my car is up and running. Looking for a new mechanic can be so stressful and I'm sure you're scrolling through yelp reviews trying to find the perfect place. I promise these are the guys to call! read more

I was recommended this shop by a co worker of mine which was great considering I just moved out here and didn't know a good mechanic yet and I called and set up a date to go and get my Tie rods looked at and serviced if necessary as I was told by someone else they might be worn and Mike was super responsive and very helpful. There turned out to be nothing wrong which was great! Mike even added air in my tires without me asking him too which was very considerate. Although I was not charged for any services because nothing was done, I was told by my co worker he is very reasonably priced. I will be using this as my auto repair shop from here on out. read more

Harvey's Auto Service - Auto shop - Auto Repair Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Great shop! Only place I'll take my car for service. Mike is great and doesn't over sell you on things that aren't needed.

Harvey's for the win. Mike is super honest and a real humanitarian. No BS just great service with no frills. Only place I'll be taking my vehicles read more

Mike, at Harvey's Auto Service, is terrific. Thorough and answers every question. This is the place we'll continue to use.

These guys are awesome! I needed brake work done and had quotes from Les Schwab and Nissan and called these guys up after seeing stellar reviews. I called and got quoted at a great price and scheduled an appointment for a week out (vs 2 weeks and 1 month at the others). Then I get a call back from them asking if I want to bring it that day! Incredibly friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. Helped me get back on the road for a reasonable price. Will definitely be back and recommend these guys for any car issues! read more

I can't describe how great these guys are. Friendly, honest, fast, over the top wonderful. I've had a couple different services here and they are nothing but sweet and wonderful and communicative. Sometimes I hate to pull this card, but as a woman, sometimes going to a mechanic can feel very frustrating. Talked down to, sold things I don't need, etc. That never is the feeling here. I'll continue to go these guys as long as I live in the Seattle area! (and maybe if I move just outside it!). And pricing can't be beat! read more

We have been taking our car's to Mike and Fred for years now. Great, fair and honest local team you can rely on. And NICE!

After my first review, there was a bit of confusion, but Mike handled it professionally, quickly and happily. He even made notes for my next oil change visit, which was today. Mike and Fred both went the extra mile to make sure this visit went off without a hitch and I appreciate them so much for it. Keep up the good work, guys. read more

1: Mike and Fred are honest and personable guys! This place is by far the most helpful auto repair shop I've been to. 2: They are not only willing to take time and show you what's wrong with you car but also why. 3: They will even give you tips if you want to try to fix the issue yourself. They'll also let you know--without any pressure--that they should do the work of it is too complicated. 4: They will help to write up a plan for essential and non essential/non urgent work to help save you money. 5: Their work is quality. 6: Their prices are straightforward and reasonable. 7: they're just damn honest! 8: You can tip them with beer! They prefer Saint Paulina Girl, or some other kind of hefeweizen. My experience with them is based on two different encounters where each time they wanted me to be able to save money and time. They just wanted what was good for me and helped me make an informed decision! 5 stars--but more importantly, they are great human beings! read more

Mike is first grade honest as can be and Knows His Cars! I thought oil was leaking in to my engine of my 2001 Ford Escape actually it was the idle motor 200.00. I called to ask for recommendations on new cars. You can't go wrong with Mike Harvey. I now am the proud owner of a Honda Civic. read more

Really appreciate Mike. We were able to get a same day appointment for a fully synthetic oil change and engine coolant. Mike even had the car vacuumed (I had spilt potting soil in the back seat) and fixed a rattling noise that we knew about but didn't mention. Affordable and great customer service! Please tip your mechanic if you can! read more

Honestly i should've wrote a review a while ago! My girlfriend and i have been going to Harvey for just about every car problem we have had through two cars since we've moved to Seattle 2-3 years ago. When first moving here we shopped around and always felt like most people charged an arm and a leg for things that Harvey charged considerably less for! Since finding him we've yet to find any need to go anywhere else! In fact, i just called today for an oil change and fitted us in the very next hour. What more can you want!? Great prices, great service, and very friendly! read more

5 star, plus - auto shop. They do good work. Have good prices. They won't claim you need repairs that are not needed. They are HONEST ! ! !

This is a great, reliable, and honest shop! Mike is great at diagnosing your car's issues, and giving a heads up on what needs to be done, and notifying you before any work is performed to get the go ahead. I called them today to let them know about a grinding sound my car was having after hydroplaning through water at a high speed, and they had me bring the car by this evening and quickly jacked the car up, identified the problem and fixed it on the spot in less than five minutes - free of charge! I would highly recommend the shop to anyone looking for great work at very fair pricing, from two honest and ethical gentlemen! read more

Mike & Fred are the BEST! Fair pricing, honest service and they don't try to upsell you on more parts. I needed to find out a fix for an engine light that was one. Fred checked it and told me to buy a new gas cap and see if that works. It did and he wouldn't take a penny for the diagnosis and using his machine. All my cars go to Mike & Fred!! read more

My grandfather loved to explain to us why you should hire the absolute best in the profession for the services you need. Commit to building a relationship with that person, he said, and they will treat you like gold for the rest of your life. Two years before my grandfather passed, he had me drive him up the street to Harvey's Auto Service for a tune up- because the neighbors had recommended them. He was so pleased with the friendliness, professionalism, and advice, that he turned to me and said, "We are always going to bring our cars here, they are The Best." I looked at him funny and said, "That Mechanic, Mike, just told you that you don't need an oil change today. He said that your car is like new, has low mileage, and has only been driven 75 miles in the last 3 months. Unlike Michigan, where my grandfather was from, the weather in Seattle had less impact on vehicle performance, and the oil he'd just tested came out clean as a whistle. -Well, my grandfather had him change the oil anyway, and he was very pleased at the high level of service for the low price of the bill. Long story short, our family brings all of our cars here now for oil changes, tune ups, and repairs, and I will always recommend them like a surgeon. My grandfather lived here in Seattle for 25 years, and had his oil changed religiously, almost every three months. And they were the first service shop to tell him it was probably didn't need to be changed as often. Oh, and I don't know why they're hidden, but there's 3 other great reviews to check out on yelp that are "Filtered" and not averaged into the ratings. read more

FINALLY!! An auto shop that is honest, friendly and accommodating! Mike is so awesome and every time that I leave this place I am smiling! Waaaait, what... how is that possible?! It just is. He has never sold me a service that I didn't need, even when I was convinced I needed it. This place rocks! read more

I've been coming here for service since I moved to Crown hill in 07. Sad to see Tommy (previous owner) gone- but Mike C., will definitely treat you right. They vacuum out your car too for the oil change- that's kinda cool. $33 with tax isn't too bad. They are good at calling back too for any questions you might have. Will definitely keep bringing my cars here. read more

I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport and I found Mike and Fred on the best website to look for anything , Yelp! I'm actually a new customer, and everyone know's how hard it is to find an honest and trustworthy Mechanic these days. After reading all the reviews I decided to see for myself. I was very impressed on my first visit which was just an oil change. Then I decided to have my 60k mile service done here, and I'm glad I did. Today, my truck would not start after I had stopped at a restaurant to get lunch. Mike stepped up big time and helped me, and within an hour I was back on the road. A big thank you to Mike and Fred for the great work and always putting customers first instead of profit and ripping off customers like the way the dealership does every time. I will definitely be a loyal customer to these guys and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest hardworking Mechanic. read more

I keep referring people here but haven't written a review myself. Mike is awesome, he doesn't jack up the hours and will stay late if they're almost done so you can have your car sooner. I greatly appreciate his help! read more

Mike and Fred worked overtime to get our van fixed because we had to have it. They didn't charge extra and did a great job. Thanks you guys!

This garage is exactly what you are looking for....quality work, fair price, honest!!! The guys are super nice and patient and go the extra mile to put the customer first. This is the only place for my car care. read more

I just moved to the area from Boston and was hesitant to find a new mechanic (since my Dad has always done all my car work and has long warned me about mechanics.) Mike was literally the exact opposite - he could not have been nicer, quicker or more helpful. Not only did he help me out, he didn't even charge me for the small fixes he made to my car. I couldn't have been more pleased or more grateful. Thank you!!!! You would not regret coming to Harvey's Auto!!! read more

You know that nearby, honest, do-right mechanic you keep looking for? Weill if you live near Crown Hill in Seattle that guy is Mike at Harvey's Automotive. We've brought him multiple cars from multiple countries and he doesn't bat an eye - they've all come back clean, working in top form, and with advice on what can wait, and what should be addressed next. He's thorough, hard-working and honest - exactly the guy you want to know when the car is having a problem. Top rating for me. read more
