I had a brake repair/replacement quote from a big tire company that was $900 higher with unnecessary things added on that D&D told me I wouldn't need when I called for my quote. They got me in at my requested time, finished the work in just over an hour (that's very good), and they were professional and courteous. I will be recommending them to my friends and family. read more

These folks are awesome. Reasonably priced, even in this awful economy, with quick service and straight forward advice and recommendations. Brought my car in for brake service and they listened to my concerns, fixed up my brakes, and also were able to repair the struts on my vehicle in a decent time at a decent price. read more

The worked on my ram 1500 years ago. I came back still a great shop. They did my Camaro rears and now doing the fronts. I can't say how awesome this shop is. read more

The rear passenger brake on my Honda Ridgeline seized and locked about a block from D & D Brakes. Google said they stopped taking appointments at noon on Saturdays, and I walked in at 11:53. They were able to get my truck in & out same day with a full rear overhaul for about a quarter of the cost at the dealer! They even swapped windshield wipers and filled my fluid for me. Honest, helpful business; honest, helpful work. Highly recommend. read more

Always quick, honest, good prices, and honored my wife's warranty on her rear pads with replacement. If you need brakes done, I would go here. read more

These guys did a great job replacing my front rotors and brake pads while I waited. They were honest and said the rear brakes were good. Their up front pricing is best in the area and their warranty backs up their quality. I highly recommend D&D Brakes read more

Highly recommended! I have been loyal to D&D since 1995 when it was previously owned by Joe? I think.. The business was then passed on to Larry who worked for D&D. These guys make you feel like you're not being gauged and they are dedicated to getting you back on the road safely. Larry and his team are very friendly, professional and courteous. They complete the work quickly and there are no surprises when it comes time to settle the invoice. My suggestion before going to D&D, get a few quotes from other brake shops. You will see the difference. read more

The overall experience was amazing! I work around the corner from this shop so I stopped by (barely ) to get a quote and the front and back cost was less than the estimate my hubby got from Les Swab for front brakes only by $100. However when I dropped my GMC on Friday the nice guy said "have you had an assessment?" Which I replied no but I'm sure I need both. About an 2 hrs later I received a call from the shop saying I only need front brakes because the back brakes are at 70%. I paid 485.00 for my repairs. I highly recommend you checking them out! My new favorite brake shop! read more

Good service at a fair price. Scheduling is easy and they take time to go over the options. Overall a solid experience--I'd recommend them.

Great service and price. Always easy to schedule and discuss the options. Highly recommend!

Had multiple high quotes for new brakes in Seattle. D&D were the best price and did it fast. Highly recommend!

Our car has the battery light on for days. We checked the voltage and it seemed to be problem with alternator. We called D&D about it and, to our surprise, Tom told us that we can drop by immediately and have the alternator replaced. On our way to their shop, the light somehow went off for good. Once we arrived the shop, Tom said they will check it out. After a while, Tom called and said that our alternator seems to be good and didn't charge us anything for the checkup. We are really appreciate with such wonderful and honest service. Will definitely consider their shop again for future services. read more

I needed to replace the rear rotors and brake pads. I received a prompt response to my inquiry and was taken immediately. The work was done efficiently and competently and the brakes do not squeak. D and D Brakes also saved me $150 from the dealer quote. read more

I'm so happy I went here! I decided to go with D&D based on all the positive reviews and it did not disappoint. Owner was quite nice and calm and that made me feel good with who I was taking to about my car issues. I was able to be serviced immediately and felt the assessment and price was fair. I even asked for them to help put on my new Washington state license plate and they helped at no extra charge. Very nice. I will 100% be coming back here for service if needed again and would highly recommend. read more

Took my BMW i3 here for my front brake pads, rotors and sensors replacement in March and the service exceeded my expectations. Called them for a quick estimate of the materials and labor and was able to bring my car in the next day. Took less than a couple hours for the replacement. They were communicative, transparent and efficient. No BS! 1.5 months in and my brakes work perfectly. Smooth like butter, not even a squeak. Highly recommend! FYI - I got quotes from 5 different places across Aurora, Greenwood and Ballard, and D&D has the best price, which was half what I was quoted from the dealership. read more

We have been using this business for many years with multiple vehicles and every time we have been pleased. They are quick to schedule, honest about the condition of our brakes, and recently worked hard to get us in on a time crunch we had on our end. I'ver recommended them to friends with equally positive feedback. Thanks all for being a great group of people that we can rely on and trust! read more

Excellent service one of the best in Seattle very professional one stop shopping for your automotive needs

Once again, Tom and Larry have demonstrated why they are my number one go-to for brakes in Seattle. When other places were giving me a wait time of several days just to get an estimate, D and D gave me an estimate and did the job that day! Larry returned my email - after hours. And Tom guided me every step of the way as my brakes were being done. They're simply the best. read more

I can't speak highly enough of D&D Brakes. Honest, reasonable price, and fast. You get your money's worth here. Brakes are what they do and they are really good at it. Took my wife's Mercedes Benz 550 SL there. They did not blink an eye about working on it. Price was about 1/3 what they wanted at the dealer and D&D used Mercedes Benz parts. If your looking for a fancy waiting room this is not the place to go. They do brakes here. Nothing fancy, just brakes. read more

This place was great. people were pleasant and did am quick brake job at competitive price. Place was clean, organized, with a great customer service vibe. I had been referred to by a friend and they were spot on. Will certainly refer to others and hit them up again for my next car issue. Happy customer for sure.. Thanks D and D!!!!!! read more

In the last 10 years, every time I've needed my brakes repaired/replaced, I've come to D&D. The staff is always friendly, professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. Today, I needed my brakes replaced and within the 2 hours I got it inspected and replaced. They provided high quality work and was very affordable. They were also very honest and didn't try to up sale me for additional work. I'll be a long term returning customer. read more

I've been here multiple times not knowing if I needed to get my brake pads replaced yet, and the workers are always nice to check mine for no charge. They always tell me how much is left, while the Subaru dealerships and Firestone try to get me to replace them much sooner. The pricing is also a much better value than any other place I've seen. I'd rather support this local business who's always looking out for their customers than go to greedy chains I can't trust the opinions of. read more

You can see my last review for more details, but essentially, 10,000 miles ago D&D told me to stop by to get my brakes checked out. So once I hit that mark, I came back. Turns out that my brakes are still fine, and they recommended I come back in another 10,000 miles. You gotta appreciate these guys for their honesty. They're not trying to sell you something you don't need. Quick, friendly, and both times they didn't charge anything. read more

I was quoted $1750 to do my brakes. D&D did them for $850! They did a great job and the service manager Tom was very friendly and helpful It turned out that my tired were WAY overinflated by another outfit and Tom made it right. D&D also gives a considerable discount for cash so it's worth it to plan that into your next brake job. Give this outfit your business!!! read more

Taken a couple of cars here. This is a second review. Honest, good work, fair price, great service, and they know what they are doing.

Larry and his team are a complete magical mystery to me. I am an that did all breaks for two daughters and there fatherless friends. Just believe it. If you give these guys just one chance you will never go any where else for your break. If they tell you to come in every 6 months for an inspection just d o it. I have been coming at 40K miles after the dealership told me I was completely shot all around. It is 99K now. I have had my front brakes fix 1 time. It is a total mystery to me. But I know I am NEVER going any where else. Figure it out. read more

I called for a 'second opinion' brake estimate appointment for Saturday and they were able to get me in the same day to fix the problem. These guys are not greasy mechanics! They are clean, professional, fast and ready to go to work! The first shop said replacing all my brake linings would cost $1000 without rotors! D & D was about half that including tax! I was in/out in less than 2 hours. There is a small waiting room with tv, heat and restroom if you'd like to wait for yr vehicle. Get a quote! You won't be sorry! read more

I have a 30+ old buick that many shops refused to work on -- D&D did a great job replacing basically everything after the hardline hosing despite the system being asymmetrical. Efficient as always, and budget conscious. I do have one suggestion, which is to have a message system or email set up so that communication can become easier, and individual cases can become easier to track. read more

I needed a hero and Larry delivered ! Another auto shop told me that my 1991 Hearse was "unsalvageable" and kicked her to the curb, but D&D came through in 2.5 days. They rebuilt almost the entire brake system, even though it was rusty and challenging. Thanks guys! read more

Yelp saved again, both in my pocket and time wasted. Recently I had a 120k miles services done at a shop and they "strongly" recommended the brakes to be replaced, since quoted "the car is dangerous to operate with the brakes I have now" and quoted $700+ price for front brakes. I felt the brakes was working perfectly and the quoted price was absurd anyway, therefore I turned down the suggestion. While waiting to pick up the car, I quickly yelped brake shops and found D&D Brakes with all 5 star reviews. That's something you don't see often. I stopped by D&D and after a quick inspection, the mechanic told me that the brakes are still good, I don't need to replace them maybe for another 6+ months. Now that's refreshing to hear someone gives an honest opinion even though it's against his best interest. Fast forward 7 months and the brakes still works fine, but I started to feel a bit of shaking during a trip coming down the mountain. I made an appointment with the shop and they scheduled me right in. For brand new brake pads and rotors, the price is $360 plus tax. Honest and fair is right. I wish this shop does something more than brakes, but you can bet from now on, this place would take care of ALL my brakes. A side note, you would want to bring your debt card for the transaction. Tom was nice enough to waive the 3% fee for using a credit card for me, which I felt sorry that the shop had to eat the fee. read more

A community Facebook page suggested I come here for replacing brake pads. It was a great experience! As a women, it's hard going to any garage without feeling like I'll get taken advantage of. Everything was straight to the point and best of all, honest! Prices are reasonable and service was great. While waiting, they made a small correction on another vehicle that had been serviced at a different garage free of charge. I thought that was pretty stand up. It's hard to know who to trust around here. Luckily, I don't have to worry about where my family takes their cars to get brake services anymore. 10/10 read more

Originally went online and completed their form describing my problem and get an automated message that they'd follow-up soon. Waited 24-hours with no response, so I called in. Super nice. Was able to get me in with a couple hours notice. Went to the front desk and waited a good amount of time before another person showed up to greet me. I needed new rotors, and they were able to get them swapped out faster than the quoted time. The price was fair. Not over-priced, but certainly not a steal. Overall, once you get in front of someone, they're very kind and instantly you feel like you're in good hands. read more

Honest, reliable and quick. Have used them many times in the past and each time they've done what was needed without up selling.

This is the second time I've taken my car to get brakes done, here. I will be back again (when needed). These guys explained everything to me, while showing me on the car. Completely respectful, friendly and both times, I never felt as if they were trying to do anything more than getting me working & safe brakes. (Being female, that is sometimes a worry). Highly recommend taking your vehicle here. PS if you like dogs, they sometimes have one there. I know he's a big baby at home. Don't let him fool you!! read more
