GT350 engine oil leak investigation. Problem found & solved.

Brad runs a very professional operation with attention to detail. Both Brad & crew are all easy to work with and I highly recommend them to take of your project needs.

I have taken my 1970 mustang Mach 1 to Brad's many times. These guys are great, are experts that pay attention to detail and really know their stuff. Their professionalism, friendliness and willingness to help with questions is greatly appreciated. If it was not for Brad's I likely would have sold my mustang a while ago but instead continue to drive and enough it. Thank you Brad, David and all the rest of the team.

I almost did not call Brad's because they were in Seattle, plus they typically work on Mustang's and Corvette's.

I always wanted a front and rear camera in my Lexus 450H SUV but have concerns over getting it…read moreproperly installed. This business was recommended by my auto mechanic. My primary concern is that an improper installation could affect the integrity of my side curtain airbags which shoot off from the A pillar all the way down the interior roof line. I believe it is dangerous to tuck wires using tools that come with self install packages because they most certainly will be in the path of the air bags. A professional installation is well worth the price in a case like this. I believe the only way to professionally install these is to do a partial tear down by removing the A pillar cover and releasing the ceiling panel on one side of the car. Their installation charges were reasonable after subtracting out the retail cost of my cameras; so I had concerns if that would cover a proper partial teardown. I called and requested them to send me a couple of camera system options they sell as I preferred them to install a system they are familiar with. I also made an appointment for the installation. The camera system I selected was the Momento M8 Max 8400. When I arrived, they had the estimate in their system, but not the appointment I made. Fortunately, they were able to accommodate me during that visit. I asked to speak with the tech. I met the tech and he said he has installed these for many years. I asked the tech to walk me through how he plans to install the cameras and he explained everything he planned to do. I requested photos of the install while the panels were removed which the tech took. Upon completion of the work, they emailed me the photos taken by the tech and the salesperson helped me setup the camera app on my smartphone before I paid them. The tech removed the A pillar panel and released the roof panel and ran the wires behind the air bag devices. The installation was extremely professional. When I raised my rear tailgate, there were no visible wires as the tech ran them inside the factory cable housing connected to the power rear hatch opener. There were no visible power connections to the camera as those connections were made inside the paneling below my dashboard with photos provided. The end result is that it looks like the cameras were always part of the SUV installed at the Lexus factory. This business greatly exceeded my expectations.

He usually responds on the same day (business day), and even responded while his family was sick with the flu to let me know about delays etc. I live in the city and the servicing was EASILY worth driving up to shoreline. It's a bit far but no one else was as responsive, communicative and respectful. Everything was so painless with him. He even gave me a nip of gas before I took my car back because it was empty. You can tell he conducts business with integrity. 10/10 recommending my friends

IF YOU READ NO FARTHER: one of the absolute best auto shop experiences I have had to date…read more A friend at church recommended me to Denton Restoration after I was bumped this past July. I went to a few places to get estimates and landed here. First off, Jeffery's (I believe) dad is often in the office to help with receiving guests, he is an older gentleman that was very kind. And his son was also incredibly nice, he was efficient in getting me a quote and I was able to drop my car off and get it back a day earlier than I had anticipated! GET THIS-my car was a mess.... I am not an organized person and it was pretty full of old coffee cups, Coke Zero cans, and other miscellaneous trash...and I had BODY WORK done on the car. They went above and beyond and my whole car inside and out is spotless. It looks phenomenal.... He also let me know they have a master mechanic that comes in once a week if I need mechanical work done. Supporting a small business is a great bonus and the fact that the staff I have dealt with were all kind and extremely personable was also very nice!

I met with Steve and he and two others from his team came out and looked at the damage. Steve explained to me that both doors would need to be painted so that the color would match correctly as my damage was close to the edge of the front door also. He walked me through the process, told me how much and how long it would take. We scheduled my drop-off and he communicated with me during the job. Car was delivered 100% looking great and absolutely on time. When I went to drop the car off, the same lot only had a few vehicles in it- they had fixed and completed the work on most all of them that week. AMAZING Steve saved me over $2,000 versus the bid I received close to home. It is/was worth the drive for sure, easy access off and on I-5 . Our paint is a tough color and they did it perfectly while saving me dollars. I can't recommend this business any higher.

BE AWARE OF UPCHARGING DIAGNOSTIC TESTS + POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE…read more I had a very negative and stressful experience at this shop. I took my car in for an issue I clearly explained: broken hoses due to visible coolant leaks onto pavement and spraying coolant everywhere under the hood. Despite this, they insisted on performing expensive diagnostic tests (compression leak, dye test, and pressure test) that I thought were unnecessary. They gave me an estimate of $750 to replace the 2 broken heater hoses. I told them I'd call them back to authorize repairs after I speak with the mechanic who had replaced the radiator hoses in August 2024. This mechanic quoted me $225 to replace all 4 heater hoses, since they tend to age together. When I called Lake City Autoworks back, they told me the work had already been done even though I never authorized it. Instead of acknowledging they had made a mistake by completing work I never authorized them to do, they gave me an ultimatum: pay the $750 or allow them to reverse the repair and reinstall the broken hoses, but I was still stuck with $500 for diagnostic fees, which was never discussed or mentioned to me upfront. I tried to contest the fees, especially because compression leak and dye test are usually done when suspecting head gasket failures, and pressure test is usually done when there might be occult leaks. My car showed clear, visible coolant leaks, so I thought a visual inspection was all that was needed to confirm the diagnosis, especially since I could see/photograph the broken hoses without getting underneath the car. Nothing I said mattered, so my car was being held hostage by their 2 ridiculous choices. I had to ask a friend to speak on my behalf because I was completely frustrated and pushed into fight-flight-freeze mode. Whether it was because I threatened to leave a 1-star review and report them to the BBB, or because my friend was a male, but they offered to zero out my account. Through my friend, I was able to tell them I was willing to pay the $225 (though my friend relayed "$250") as quoted by another mechanic, but I wanted to speak to the service writer and the owner, after we all cooled down, because I wanted to find out what happened that caused unauthorized work to proceed and whether they routinely upcharge by adding unnecessary diagnostic fees. Surprisingly, they shut down all further communications, stating "we're good, and we've moved on." In essence, when I requested to hold off on my repairs until I could speak to my mechanic, they ignored my request, and when I requested to discuss what happened to cause all emotions to fly sky high, they declined my request. In between, there were some shady business. I would NOT recommend this shop to anyone. They lack transparency, engage in upselling unnecessary services, and provide poor customer service. I went to them once for a repair that they couldn't find the parts for, and for an oil change ($116, the most expensive oil change I ever had on my 1998 Camry). They do have good reviews and a few not-so-good-ones. Just be aware: this type of experience is potentially in the mix. I hope you catch them on a good day! NOTE: posting this on YELP b/c Google reviews mysteriously disappeared.
