No funny business here. Just straight shooters. They tell me what is going wrong, they charge fair rates for reliable trustworthy services. Is the cost more than I want to spend, and borderline high? Of course! but who doesn't have high labor and parts prices when providing outstanding service on finicky vehicles? Recently took my Mini Cooper SE in for a restraint fault issue. Decided to skip the dealership as it's a drive from home, not cheap, and lacking in quality service. Team was super professional and communicative here. Had the problem fixed quickly and it was cheaper than they had quoted me. Also appreciated the level of detail they provide when an issue is found, pesky rats had chewed through some wires and the team provided clear pictures of the damage prior to repair. I went to Eastside to fix my front brakes. I was going to go to another place but then my friend recommended this place. I called and spoke to Teri. She was helpful and accommodating and managed to squeeze me in for a repair service. At the end of the service, Eastside gave me a very thorough inspections and a very detailed report on my car. They are honest, reliable, responsive and reasonable. They also provide shuttle service. This is very convenient for me. The next time I need a service, I can leave my car in the morning and they can shuttle me to work. Teri also mentioned that I could leave the car after hours and drop the key in a box by the front door. And I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that they washed and vacuumed my car! read more

I made an appointment to get my oil changed, and was told it would take an hour. The waiting area and front office is very nice, they even have Cosmo for the ladies to read ;). They got my car in and out within that hour, which was surprising because any place I've been to usually takes 30 min to an hour longer than that! Ryan was very nice and informative. I told him I was worried about my brakes because they squeak and he came outside with me to look at the brakes himself. Great service here! Been a BMW owner for more than 10 yrs, used many different shops in the past: dealers, family owned, indie, you name it. East Bavarian lives up to my expectations. Clean office, quick response, transparency on what's been done. Price wise, it's definitely lower than dealer. Which is what I'm looking for - a dealer type of standardized diagnostics/service/using OEM parts without the inflated price that dealers charge. When I looked into their yard, I see about 20 BMW and 1-2 other German cars. I guess it's safe to say they specialize in BMW. Quality wise, there's never one shop that can guarantee 100% everything done right, but the pictures and descriptions they've provided allows you know exactly what's been done. And if anything goes wrong, it won't be difficult to track the work or figure out responsibility. read more

I had the unfortunate experience of being stuck at the Costco gas station with my beloved 750li. Panicked, I called my usual BMW mechanic (located in Kirkland, still love them!) he kindly and professionally referred me to Eastside Bavarian as they were much closer to where my car and I were stranded. Within minutes, Dave called me, asked a few questions, and told me he would arrive shortly. He arrived like 5 minutes later with the solution and backup remedies, just in case. I worry that some mechanics are less familiar with 7-series as there just aren't as many of them running around. Not the case with Dave, he was very knowledgeable. Thankfully, I was able to hit the road worry-free. As a woman, sometimes I feel we can be taken advantage of when the bill comes but I am 100% certain they are fair. They came in cheaper than BMW of Bellevue for an oil change and a battery replacement for my M3, realized that my battery needed to be done sooner rather than later and got me in ASAP to fix it. Recently had Eastside Bavarian do some work on my '01 BMW 330, including addressing an ABS\DSC warning light that was staying on. Normally this is just a wheel speed sensor issue, but in my case it was an intermittent issue that was ultimately traced to a shoddy "twist the wires together" repair done at some point in the history of the car. The intermittent nature of the issue made it especially hard to troubleshoot, and to be honest we had a couple of false starts along the way. But in the end I was thoroughly impressed with Eastside Bavarian's commitment to getting it right, and at a fair price. Hmm, auto work is always difficult, especially when you own a 2001 BMW. Moved up here from Los Angeles where I loved my mechanic. In searching for a new shop I came across Eastside Bavarian and set up an appointment for a oil change, which turned into a $370 Oil Service...whatever, not happy already! So, when that was done they gave me a laundry list of items that needed addressing and an estimate of over $2,400! They also wouldn't say that one was most important, which meant they wanted to do it all at once.... Needless to say I got a second opinion, which was.."this $4 washer will take care of the power steering hose and your expansion tank has been under pressure for 10 minutes and I just don't see ANY leaks. Also, your bushings are probably okay, just this one that probably should be changed, the part is $10 and it will take 5 minutes to change so maybe $30. So, just watch the car, you will know when we need to do the major work... SEE YOU AT YOUR NEXT OIL CHANGE AND WE CAN CHANGE THE BUSHING!" WHAT?? WTF? So, I get it, they want the thing to be 100%, and they probably all came out of the dealers and they continue to sell that way. And that is the ONLY reason they are getting two stars. This is NOT what I was looking for! This is a 11 year old car that is going to have some issues, some minor, some major. Some needing attention NOW, some not! After spending $120 on the entire service, and avoiding $1,400 in RECOMMENDED repairs the car is running great and there are no more power steering leaks or any others for that matter. Apparently I can wait, for what appears to be quite a while, for the major work to be done. They were dead honest, didn't try to upsell, got the job done when they said they would and charged me about half of what BMW Bellevue quoted. My E46 M3 will always go here for maintenance and repairs, that's all there is to it. I've owned BMWs for the last 15 years and have gone to numerous dealers and independent shops. This outfit is professional and pretty much in line with what I expect from a good BMW shop. Hourly rate is fair and they don't mark up parts too much. They will give you a ride after drop off and there's a Hertz next door with a discounted rental rate, although I didn't use either offers so can't vouch for rental price. I would have given a 5 star but don't have enough history yet. But with 2 older Bimmers I'm sure I'll have a nice long relationship where they can get $4-5K a year out of me in repairs! Also, it would be nice if they had a couple of junker loaners they could provide as I've seen many shops do. read more

This review is tricky and mostly applies to anyone as crazy as I am to purchase a used car remotely, sight unseen. I had Eastside Bavarian do an inspection before having the car shipped to me. They were very helpful and knowledgeable, and documented their findings very well in an online report. I was grateful to have a company with such a good reputation inspect the car for me, and they seemed to do a good job inspecting the internal mechanics. They told me upfront they don't do "PPIs", and so would not inspect the exterior, so I understand they didn't tell me about the dings on the rear bumper, but they also didn't tell me about a cracked fog light, which seems like should be part of a mechanical inspection and check list. It is maybe a $250-$300 repair, so in the grand scheme of things, there can be plenty of worse things to miss, but also not too many more obvious things to miss..... read more

I brought my car in for an oil change and to replace one of my halos. They did what was need and more. They also replace a rear tail light that I had no idea was out. I have been here what, maybe over 6-8 times since I moved out here from CA almost 2 years ago. And these guys ARE honestly BETTER than any other dealership, mechanic, or shop I have taken all my Audi's in to. It's shocking to read some of these negative reviews and to be honest they just simply aren't true. I have almost been scammed by all ALL the Audi dealerships and European car dealerships I have been to except them. They have told me what I didn't need and needed and what I may need done in the future so that I am aware of it. They have always been so gracious and kind and have gotten to know me, even on a first name basis always saying "Oh HI Donna, hello Ms. Clark, how are you, what cool adventures have you been, etc." They treat everyone with kindness and make sure that they take care of you and what your vehicle really needs and NOT what they just want to sell you on. Ken and Ryan have been the two guys I mostly talk to and see when I go in. They are FANTASTIC!!! Honestly, no words express how much I love these guys! As a matter of fact, I went to a Sears auto shop in Redmond to get my tires rotated (tires were bought from Sears right before I moved) and Ken just so happened to be inside getting a few little things they had a sale like funnels and stuff. When I came to pick up my car they tried to say that my car wasn't there and then when they found my car they tried to tell me I needed all this work done and were trying to hassle me and making me wait while they checked on stuff, just giving me the run around. Ken quickly stepped in a politely asked them to please just get my car so that I could be on my way. He knew I didn't need all this extra stuff because I take my car into them (Eastside Bavarian) all the time so he knew it was just fluff on Sears' part. I was so appreciative he helped me when he honestly didn't have to but he made sure to stay because even though we just ran into each other there, I was still a customer of his and he wanted to make sure I didn't get screwed or taken advantage of. Thanks again Ken!!! Overall, this place is just the best! Even though they are great with cars and with what they do, they go the extra mile for you whether it's making you feel comfortable there while you're waiting for your car to get done and/or when you're trying to get scammed or taken advantage of at other places they will let you know what you really need. I really appreciated all the time Ken took emailing me to set up my appointment. Also, the time Ryan took explaining things to me when I called prior to my appointment. It was very quick when I checked in and Susanne at Hertz was friendly and told me that the shop pays $10 of the loaner car fee, that is very kind. It was an unexpected touch to get a handwritten thank you card from Ken, including a refund on the unexpected charge for the windshield wiper fluid. It is a long drive for me to get to Eastside Bavarian; however, for the service and savings and in cost it is worth it!
