I am extremely frustrated and honestly furious with how this entire experience was handled. From the beginning, the communication was terrible. I had to repeatedly call the shop myself just to get updates. I was originally told my car would be ready Wednesday. Then I was told Thursday. On Thursday, I was suddenly told they had to reorder a part, so it wouldn't be ready until Friday. After all of that waiting, I finally picked up my car Friday--only to get home and discover a coolant spill. I was extremely upset, called the shop, and was told to have the car TOWED back to them. After waiting days for my car to supposedly be properly repaired, having to tow it back because of an issue immediately after picking it up was completely unacceptable. And it didn't end there. When we picked up the car again, we drove off the lot and received a notification that the hood was open. This is a serious safety concern and completely unacceptable after a vehicle has supposedly been inspected and is ready for the customer to drive. I was told the hood was intentionally left that way because they wanted to "shut it gently." They are an auto repair shop, so the fact that the hood was not properly secured before handing the car back to us is honestly baffling to me. I contacted the owner because I was extremely upset and wanted to give him the opportunity to address what happened. His response was essentially that his team had been on vacation and that this had unfortunately caused a bad experience for me. Honestly, that response made me even more frustrated. I understand that people go on vacation. What I don't understand is why the customer is left to deal with the consequences of staffing issues, poor communication, delays, a coolant spill that required a TOW, and a hood that wasn't properly secured--and then the response is essentially, "Unfortunately, this happened to you." There was no offer to compensate us for the inconvenience, no meaningful attempt to make the situation right, and no real sense of accountability. I have never had a mechanic experience this frustrating. I expected much better communication, attention to detail, quality control, and customer service. The entire experience was stressful, inconvenient, and completely unacceptable. For reference, the repair was around $3,700 with the car being at the shop almost 2 weeks. I would seriously think twice before bringing my vehicle here again. read more

Love these guys! I have been going to Eastside Bavarian for years. They are a great compliment to me, the cheapskate backyard DIY garage mechanic wanna be that drives expensive to maintain cars that aren't always within my skill level to maintain! No funny business here. Just straight shooters. They tell me what is going wrong, they charge fair rates for reliable trustworthy services. Is the cost more than I want to spend, and borderline high? Of course! but who doesn't have high labor and parts prices when providing outstanding service on finicky vehicles? In the end they understand me and my cars. they do the big stuff, and take pictures and give me parts numbers for the things I can do myself. What more can a car guy ask for? How about more free stuff guys? Oh well. I tried! read more

Recently took my Mini Cooper SE in for a restraint fault issue. Decided to skip the dealership as it's a drive from home, not cheap, and lacking in quality service. Team was super professional and communicative here. Had the problem fixed quickly and it was cheaper than they had quoted me. Also appreciated the level of detail they provide when an issue is found, pesky rats had chewed through some wires and the team provided clear pictures of the damage prior to repair. Glad I trusted Eastside Bavarian with this work will be going here for all my Mini's needs! read more

My girlfriend recommended this business, and today was my first time getting my car serviced here. The staff was honest, friendly, and reasonably priced. They went above and beyond--even vacuumed my car. Highly recommend them for any car service needs. read more

Half the price of dealership for the same set of services. Everything worked out well.

We have had great experiences. Brought our BMW X5 in here thinking We needed new brakes...but due to the car sitting so long over Covid our brakes delicious crap in them and we had brake fluid flushed and oil changed and our car is running like new. I trust Eastside Bavarian with our cars and it's so nice to have an honest and friendly establishment so close to home. Prices are fair too! read more

I was previously taking the Audi to the dealer. Last time i did that we left $11,000 (yes that's right) poorer for a 30,000 mile maintenance. The car is a 2008, well maintained, and I'm pretty sure we were scammed. Now we take our car to eastside and they do a great job, reliable, and a good value! So happy with this business! read more

Had some routine maintenance done on my X3. I know I saved some money over the dealership but it's 1 mile from my house so I appreciate the convenience. Very professional operation! I'll be back! read more

Great independent shop on the Eastside. It is my go to place for taking care of my 18 M2. My service adviser, Ken is great. He explains the service thoroughly and the price is much better than the dealership. It's good to know I don't have to pay dealership price for servicing my BMW. Thank you Eastside Bavarian! read more

Great service, Specializes in BMW, but also Mini Cooper, Audi, and all german cars, I have great admiration for the owners and employees of Eastside Bavarian, they are honest (rare quality in this business), friendly, and most importantly, they are the best German Auto mechanics in Seattle. If you are in need of service or repair, they are the best! read more

We took our X3 in for scheduled maintenance. Our car was completed promptly and a detailed inspection report was emailed to us. The bill came out exactly as quoted. Working with Eastside Bavarian was easy and overall as enjoyable as vehicle maintenance can be. Plus no dealership service sticker shock. Just honest prices for a quality job. See you again in 5k miles or so. read more

These folks were awesome. In spite of the busy season, they were able to accommodate my car repair (water pump replacement) early. What struck me most is their professionalism - from booking appointment, courtesy, exact estimates and constant follow up during the repair. Their detailed report with pictures etc made me feel that I was getting the best service and not getting ripped off like Audi Bellevue. I only wish I had found this place 5 years ago! read more

Working with them over the past few years has been a pleasure. Tony and the team are great as is the work they do. Eastside Bavarian was my go-to shop after dealing with a certain University-district based dealership and coming away with new issues every time I brought my car in. The team's quick to communicate and great at keeping you in the loop. Work was always completed to satisfaction with a PDF summary provided complete with actions done, photos of said work, and potential future issues to look out for. Sadly I've moved out of the area otherwise I'd continue to trust them with my VW. read more

I made an appointment to get my oil changed, and was told it would take an hour. The waiting area and front office is very nice, they even have Cosmo for the ladies to read ;). They got my car in and out within that hour, which was surprising because any place I've been to usually takes 30 min to an hour longer than that! Ryan was very nice and informative. I told him I was worried about my brakes because they squeak and he came outside with me to look at the brakes himself. Great service here! I will definitely be back for all my VW's needs, probably next to get the brake pads replaced! Haha read more

Where do I start - These people are focused on providing the customers excellent service, in a super friendly way along with excellent results. Over the last few years I have grown to admire the team at Eastside Bavarian, as they are honest, an uncommon trait in this business, and more importantly are knowledgeable about the BMW's, with reasonable prices. From minor services to major services & issues, my experience with them has been consistent, across every visit. After few inconsistent experiences, in dealing with the BMW dealership for service, Eastside Bavarian is my go to, shop for my BMW. read more

I went to Eastside to fix my front brakes. I was going to go to another place but then my friend recommended this place. I called and spoke to Teri. She was helpful and accommodating and managed to squeeze me in for a repair service. At the end of the service, Eastside gave me a very thorough inspections and a very detailed report on my car. They are honest, reliable, responsive and reasonable. They also provide shuttle service. This is very convenient for me. The next time I need a service, I can leave my car in the morning and they can shuttle me to work. Teri also mentioned that I could leave the car after hours and drop the key in a box by the front door. And I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that they washed and vacuumed my car! read more

Had a fabulous experience at Eastside Bavarian! Everyone was so professional and kind. I had lots of updates and was given quotes for any items that weren't addressed. Was also very fair in pricing. Highly recommend! read more

Straight forward great service with clear indications of "stuff that needs to be fixed now" and "items to worry about later". Service was quick, friendly, fair price (definitely much better than the dealer) and things were done on time. Service report was detailed and with plenty of pictures, very useful! Thanks guys! This is my new favorite spot. But no fancy loaners and foofoo coffee while you wait, so yeah, that might be a downside for some :) read more

Been a BMW owner for more than 10 yrs, used many different shops in the past: dealers, family owned, indie, you name it. East Bavarian lives up to my expectations. Clean office, quick response, transparency on what's been done. Price wise, it's definitely lower than dealer. Which is what I'm looking for - a dealer type of standardized diagnostics/service/using OEM parts without the inflated price that dealers charge. When I looked into their yard, I see about 20 BMW and 1-2 other German cars. I guess it's safe to say they specialize in BMW. Quality wise, there's never one shop that can guarantee 100% everything done right, but the pictures and descriptions they've provided allows you know exactly what's been done. And if anything goes wrong, it won't be difficult to track the work or figure out responsibility. read more

I believe the mechanics are good. After posting a review that shared my concern over customer care and responsiveness; the owner reached out to reconcile the issue. It was discovered that their email form response system was not working properly. That is encouraging that they would work to remedy the issues. read more

SO HAPPY to have found Eastside Bavarian in Issaquah! My SUV needed an oil change and routine maintenance, and a search on Yelp steered me to this company. I found their price to be reasonable and I was able to get my vehicle in the same week. I don't know what the turn-around time is because I dropped it off and had a friend take me back to my office. I've already recommended Eastside Bavarian to two other German auto owners in my office. :) read more

We had such a great experience at Eastside Bavarian. If you are driving a BMW, Mini, or Audi, this is your place to go. They are experienced, skilled, friendly, and super-fast. We have been taking our BMW to Dave for years, he is as honest as they get. He is extremely friendly and willing to explain the processes of what is being done, what can wait and what should be done right away. I took my BMW X6 to Eastside Bavarian based on my neighbor, Jen's recommendation and yelp reviews and they didn't disappoint. From the moment I arrived and told them that my engine warning light was on, they were very quick to run a diagnostic to check everything for me, even though they were booked out all day. I left the car with them and I was conveniently shuttled home. Ken and Ryan run a good honest shop and I will return to have my other works done after my big trip to Yellowstone. Thanks to all at Eastside Bavarian. read more

VERY easy to work with. They came in cheaper than BMW of Bellevue for an oil change and a battery replacement for my M3, realized that my battery needed to be done sooner rather than later and got me in ASAP to fix it. Since my oil change was due, they were able to squeeze that in too. I really appreciate the quick turnaround and would definitely recommend them in the future. read more

Recently had Eastside Bavarian do some work on my '01 BMW 330, including addressing an ABS\DSC warning light that was staying on. Normally this is just a wheel speed sensor issue, but in my case it was an intermittent issue that was ultimately traced to a shoddy "twist the wires together" repair done at some point in the history of the car. The intermittent nature of the issue made it especially hard to troubleshoot, and to be honest we had a couple of false starts along the way. But in the end I was thoroughly impressed with Eastside Bavarian's commitment to getting it right, and at a fair price. If you're reading this review and shopping for a place to take your BMW for service, look no further. I know the next time my BMW needs service I'll be bringing it to Eastside Bavarian! read more

Hmm, auto work is always difficult, especially when you own a 2001 BMW. Moved up here from Los Angeles where I loved my mechanic. In searching for a new shop I came across Eastside Bavarian and set up an appointment for a oil change, which turned into a $370 Oil Service...whatever, not happy already! So, when that was done they gave me a laundry list of items that needed addressing and an estimate of over $2,400! They also wouldn't say that one was most important, which meant they wanted to do it all at once.... Needless to say I got a second opinion, which was.."this $4 washer will take care of the power steering hose and your expansion tank has been under pressure for 10 minutes and I just don't see ANY leaks. Also, your bushings are probably okay, just this one that probably should be changed, the part is $10 and it will take 5 minutes to change so maybe $30. So, just watch the car, you will know when we need to do the major work... SEE YOU AT YOUR NEXT OIL CHANGE AND WE CAN CHANGE THE BUSHING!" WHAT?? WTF? So, I get it, they want the thing to be 100%, and they probably all came out of the dealers and they continue to sell that way. And that is the ONLY reason they are getting two stars. This is NOT what I was looking for! This is a 11 year old car that is going to have some issues, some minor, some major. Some needing attention NOW, some not! After spending $120 on the entire service, and avoiding $1,400 in RECOMMENDED repairs the car is running great and there are no more power steering leaks or any others for that matter. Apparently I can wait, for what appears to be quite a while, for the major work to be done. I found what I was looking for and it is not here, if you want to know where that is look at my other posts because they are getting 5 stars!! read more

I can't believe I had a good car repair experience...these guys are awesome. They were dead honest, didn't try to upsell, got the job done when they said they would and charged me about half of what BMW Bellevue quoted. My E46 M3 will always go here for maintenance and repairs, that's all there is to it. It feels really good knowing if something goes south on the car I have people who are decent to help me out... read more

Fabulous! Such a relief to find professional service! They are excellent! Don't get that with Bellevue BMW.

I've owned BMWs for the last 15 years and have gone to numerous dealers and independent shops. This outfit is professional and pretty much in line with what I expect from a good BMW shop. Hourly rate is fair and they don't mark up parts too much. They will give you a ride after drop off and there's a Hertz next door with a discounted rental rate, although I didn't use either offers so can't vouch for rental price. I would have given a 5 star but don't have enough history yet. But with 2 older Bimmers I'm sure I'll have a nice long relationship where they can get $4-5K a year out of me in repairs! Also, it would be nice if they had a couple of junker loaners they could provide as I've seen many shops do. read more

I had the unfortunate experience of being stuck at the Costco gas station with my beloved 750li. Panicked, I called my usual BMW mechanic (located in Kirkland, still love them!) he kindly and professionally referred me to Eastside Bavarian as they were much closer to where my car and I were stranded. Within minutes, Dave called me, asked a few questions, and told me he would arrive shortly. He arrived like 5 minutes later with the solution and backup remedies, just in case. I worry that some mechanics are less familiar with 7-series as there just aren't as many of them running around. Not the case with Dave, he was very knowledgeable. Thankfully, I was able to hit the road worry-free. As a woman, sometimes I feel we can be taken advantage of when the bill comes but I am 100% certain they are fair. I wholeheartedly trust and recommend this shop for all of your European vehicle's needs. Truly, I thank you, Dave and your company. read more

I have been here what, maybe over 6-8 times since I moved out here from CA almost 2 years ago. And these guys ARE honestly BETTER than any other dealership, mechanic, or shop I have taken all my Audi's in to. It's shocking to read some of these negative reviews and to be honest they just simply aren't true. I have almost been scammed by all ALL the Audi dealerships and European car dealerships I have been to except them. They have told me what I didn't need and needed and what I may need done in the future so that I am aware of it. They have always been so gracious and kind and have gotten to know me, even on a first name basis always saying "Oh HI Donna, hello Ms. Clark, how are you, what cool adventures have you been, etc." They treat everyone with kindness and make sure that they take care of you and what your vehicle really needs and NOT what they just want to sell you on. Ken and Ryan have been the two guys I mostly talk to and see when I go in. They are FANTASTIC!!! Honestly, no words express how much I love these guys! As a matter of fact, I went to a Sears auto shop in Redmond to get my tires rotated (tires were bought from Sears right before I moved) and Ken just so happened to be inside getting a few little things they had a sale like funnels and stuff. When I came to pick up my car they tried to say that my car wasn't there and then when they found my car they tried to tell me I needed all this work done and were trying to hassle me and making me wait while they checked on stuff, just giving me the run around. Ken quickly stepped in a politely asked them to please just get my car so that I could be on my way. He knew I didn't need all this extra stuff because I take my car into them (Eastside Bavarian) all the time so he knew it was just fluff on Sears' part. I was so appreciative he helped me when he honestly didn't have to but he made sure to stay because even though we just ran into each other there, I was still a customer of his and he wanted to make sure I didn't get screwed or taken advantage of. Thanks again Ken!!! Overall, this place is just the best! Even though they are great with cars and with what they do, they go the extra mile for you whether it's making you feel comfortable there while you're waiting for your car to get done and/or when you're trying to get scammed or taken advantage of at other places they will let you know what you really need. I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE as long as I'm here in WA!!!! Thanks again EASTSIDE BAVARIAN for all that you do!!!! read more

Eastside Bavarian - After getting my car back from them EASTSIDE BAVARIAN after a routine service. - Auto Repair Near Me - Issaquah, Washington

This review is tricky and mostly applies to anyone as crazy as I am to purchase a used car remotely, sight unseen. I had Eastside Bavarian do an inspection before having the car shipped to me. They were very helpful and knowledgeable, and documented their findings very well in an online report. I was grateful to have a company with such a good reputation inspect the car for me, and they seemed to do a good job inspecting the internal mechanics. They told me upfront they don't do "PPIs", and so would not inspect the exterior, so I understand they didn't tell me about the dings on the rear bumper, but they also didn't tell me about a cracked fog light, which seems like should be part of a mechanical inspection and check list. It is maybe a $250-$300 repair, so in the grand scheme of things, there can be plenty of worse things to miss, but also not too many more obvious things to miss..... read more

I really appreciated all the time Ken took emailing me to set up my appointment. Also, the time Ryan took explaining things to me when I called prior to my appointment. It was very quick when I checked in and Susanne at Hertz was friendly and told me that the shop pays $10 of the loaner car fee, that is very kind. It was an unexpected touch to get a handwritten thank you card from Ken, including a refund on the unexpected charge for the windshield wiper fluid. It is a long drive for me to get to Eastside Bavarian; however, for the service and savings and in cost it is worth it! I have already recommended you to a friend that needs work done on his BMW soon. read more
