More than I usually pay and it's now four days later my nails keep snagging in my hair-cracks and lifting! Very unhappy with this place! I booked an appt today for a fill and pedicure for 4:30 pm, I arrived on time and had to wait about 15 mins, I was told I would get the pedi first then the fill, after I was done with the pedi the girl asked me if I was getting my nails done, I said yes and she said she didn't know I was supposed to be getting my nails too and that there was no one else that could do it, there were 5 ladies there and no one else that could do a gel fill 40 mins before closing? And a lady had just walked in with out an appt and was able to get a pedi! I called nail care across town and they were able to do my fill 30 mins before their closing time, I won't be returning! read more

This business doesn't deserve any stars in my eyes. first of all, I called and made an apt for me and a girl friend of mine to come in and get a basic pedicure at 6:30pm and I received a call asking if we could come in 30 mins earlier, so of course I said yes. We arrived at 6pm on the dot and as we walk in we see a sign that says only accepting cash at this time.. no big deal. I advised the girl at the front desk I would just run to the ATM next door and pull out cash after my service was completed. It would have been nice to know ahead of time so that I could've pulled it out earlier in the day instead of having to pay a fee to pull the money out. Secondly, we were seated in our foot basins and only one tech was available to work on us. My friend sat for over 30 mins waiting for another tech to come over and begin her pedicure. We had to ask several times if someone was going to help her soon and the answer we got every time was "someone will be with you soon". In the mean time her water was cold and there were two techs who were on their cell phones, in no rush to help with the pedicures. The tech that had started my pedi had to stop what she was doing with me and start on my friends. Now, my water was cold and I had been sitting another half an hour waiting for my pedi to be finished. Another tech finally came over and took over my friends pedi and the girl who had originally started mine came back to finish. Third, they re-used unsanitary tools to remove a blister on my foot and then went back and used them on my cuticles! She would throw the towel she was using to wipe my feet on the ground and then pick it up and continue to use it on my feet. Another issue was the terminology the tech was using to tell me I had the beginning stages of a nail fungus was extremely unprofessional. She kept stating " you have fungus in your toe nail, you should probably get that taken care of before it gets worse" then she began to clean under my toe nails and blurted out " WOW look at all this shit under your toe!" I was very offended as I'm sure she noticed by the expression on my face. I explained I had injured my toe and that was why my toe nail looked that way and she again blurted out " its ok I've had people with worse toes and HELLA STUFF was under their toe nails." VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Coming from a cosmetologist background those are things you don't just blurt out in front of an entire salon full of people. NEXT, as my friends nails were being finished the nail tech doing her pedi had to put an acrylic nail on one of her toes and when my friend had pointed out that it was crooked and asked her to file it so it was even she became irritated and took the polish off and started filing the nail. As she was filing vigorously she cut my friends skin beneath the toe nail and didn't even put any antiseptic on it, she just continued on with the polish. She moved on to the next toe with the polish and again my friend pointed out that she forgot to put the base coat on, so again she had to remove the polish and start over. It was then that we asked to speak to the manager, who blew us off at first, and then after 10-15 mins finally came over to us. My friend expressed how horrible our experience was and all the manager had to say was "OK". We then began to explain why we were disappointed with our visit and not one time did she apologize for it taking so long or any of the screw ups that took place during our visit. She was very rude when we asked what kind of compensation they would offer us and began to get defensive with us saying that she could not do that, but she would give us a free nail design. I explained to her my apt was at 6:30pm and YOU guys were the ones who moved us up and then took a walk in right before you seated us and now we have been here for 2 hours for a pedicure and that we did not want to be here any longer. I advised her that I would be reporting her to state board for the violations of proper sanitation and she yelled and said she didn't care if we reported her salon! As we walked out to go to the ATM she was right behind us demanding that we pay for our services and I then had to explain to her that since they neglected to tell us prior to our apt that they were only accepting cash that I would have to go next door to pull money out of the ATM. I pulled the money out and went back to the nail salon, handed the money to the girl at the front desk and let them know that this is NO WAY to run a business as I turned to walk out she yelled, in a very sarcastic tone of voice, "HAVE A GOOD DAY!" I will never recommend this salon to any of my friends or family. I do not understand how this salon is even in business still.. STAY AWAY FROM PROFESSIONAL NAILS IN MANTECA!!!! The nail techs are terrible and uneducated , to put it politely, and they are beyond rude to their clients!! read more

I'm writing a bad review because I paid $30 for my daughter and all I wanted was a manicure and the man said you don't want gel, I said just a regular manicure please. He said okay, then when my daughter was done he said they didn't have time. I literally can't explain my love for professional nails. Every time I try to go somewhere different (because there aren't openings) I always get pulled back to professional nails. Thuey is remarkable with my nails I'm always like whatever you want Thuey and she always.. I mean ALWAYS impresses. My most recent nail adventure was color changing nails.. They are the best. Pros: The young man who greeted me at the door spoke English well and was polite. I was a walk-in customer and was taken care of right away. The pedicure chair was comfortable. Cons: The shop is worn and threadbare. The woman who did my pedicure started cutting down the side of my big toenail with her nippers (who the heck does that?). I stopped her immediately but it was too late. She had already cut into my skin. When I pointed out to her that I was bleeding she sort of giggled and sprayed my entire foot with liquid from a bottle marked "Antiseptic." The finished product was just ok and not worth the $42 they charge for their premium pedicure. I have a sneaking suspicion that shops like this make their novices do the walk-ins. If I could give them 10 stars I would. I felt welcomed from the time I arrived for me appointment. This was my first visit and I think I found my new nail shop in Manteca. Everyone was nice. "L" did my pedi and "Vi" did my gel on my natural nails. I told them about a bad experience I had at another shop in town and they assured me that they would take care of me and they did that above and beyond. I'm so excited to have gone there because I can do a pretty good job on my own but, often times, I don't get to make the time to take care of my nails. They do a good pedicure and foot massage for old tired feet. Manicures are awesome too. I do pretty simple nails but ive seen other ladies in there getting the nail art put on . WORST SERVICE IVE EVER HAD. Went and got my nails done from one of the newer ladies, they came out bumpy and crooked. Let it go. I went back this time to "Holly" she didn't care or anyone else that they messaged up last time. I didn't want to pay 50 for taking them off and a new set when it was their service that messed up so I went with cheap nail polish, I assume because I was questioning the price they made me pay up front like I was going to run off or something, very RUDE! But! I ignored it and went back again! Holly ruined them this time, the gel bubbled instead of fixing it she ignored it and put over the matte coat that I wanted I was going out of town and didnt notice till the next day!
