They just lost a frequent client. I usually get mani/pedi with gel polish. The very next day it started to peel off. I called and explained to them but they refused to fix it. They are very hard working and very knowledgeable about the nail game. Terrible terrible terrible.... DO NOT COME here... The last two times I came here I had an appointment both times yet had to wait over an hour for them to even start the pedicure. It doesn't matter which pedicure you choose you get the same treatment from it. I paid for the deluxe and was done in 20 mins. My best friend came with me and they let her sit in her chair until I was completely done and never started her even after I asked several times if she was going to be started. They kept taking walk-ins over us. Super unprofessional and downright rude when I asked when it would be our turn. Nail polish that was supposed to be gel, chipped the next day. Tried this place out last week, we did a walk in and I got started within 5 minutes. So far so good, my pedicure is holding up. I hadn't been to this salon in years and I doubt I'll be back. I had read excellent reviews, but unfortunately that was not my experience. To start I showed Lee what color I wanted, which she asked a few times then asked for the number, which I gave her. When she started painting my toes I thought it looked light, but thought it would darken with additional coat. Moved to table to get manicure and didn't want gel, but she said I would be sitting for 30 minutes just to dry and gel would last "very long time" That's when I noticed the color was not the one I chose- wrong number, but I didn't have time for her to redo everything. The polish was uneven and rough. She also left the edges of my nails rough and didn't do a good job cleaning up polish she got on my skin. For $83, I should have had an amazing experience and result. I actually got my nails done by the owners, first the wife puts my nails on crooked & was on a call with her doctor so She wasn't really there she was upset on the phone so she had her husband come finish, he doesn't take them off, yet proceeds to spend half an hour trying to make them straight... my nails lifted the same week. Very relaxing. I called for an appointment and they were ready for me when I walked in. I decided to get the deluxe delicate spa pedicure for $44 as I had so feet and lots of callus from teaching aqua aerobics daily. Lee did my pedicure. She was sweet and friendly. The place is relaxing with spa type music playing. You could take a nap if you wanted. The pedicure began with some Rose petals in the water. It was great, the only reason for not giving it 5 states is I really didn't feel like she massaged the bottom of my feet much, even after me telling her that's what I needed and preferred to my legs. I'm on my feet all day, and I needed the extra. It was similar to a much cheaper pedicure I received at another place, which I'll probably go back to. Came here while visiting from out of town and had some time to kill. I have to say this is probably one of the worst manicure and pedicure I've ever had. The lady was obviously in a rush and didn't take her time doing anything nor was she gentle. The paint job is horrible. I was trying to point out to her how the nails polish was all over my fingers but she didn't seem to care. It takes a lot for me to write reviews. A couple weeks ago I had gotten a full set from a spa in Modesto. My natural nails were growing out and they were starting to look gross so I figured it was time to take the acrylics off. I know a lot of salons and spas are closed on Mondays but I came across this one based on the fact that they were open and had the best reviews in Manteca. I called and mentioned I needed to take the acrylics off and paint my natural nails. I appreciate that Ryan was quick to get me in without an appointment. I showed up and he knew i was the one needing acrylic removal. I sat down and he immediately got to work. Now, I'm not big on nails but I was under the assumption that he'd start the gel removal with the drill and do an acetone soak to get the acrylics off but instead he clipped them off with a nail clipper and took a nail tip to get in between my real nail to pop off the fake nails. He ended up breaking the nail on my thumb and all he did was put glue on it to stick it together. I told him a couple of times it hurt and all he said was "it hurts huh?" And kept going. He buffed the top a little but my nails still looked rough. I was already flustered so I asked him to paint my nails black to hide the damage. I asked early how much he's charging me and he quoted me $35. I guess he noticed I was looking at the prices so at the end I purposely asked how much again then he said $33. I payed him said thank you and drove home with throbbing nails and having to file my nails to get them even.. I could have just done them at home and taken the time and care to fix them had I known he was going to do all that. Saturday was my first time going to this place to take my daughter to get her nails done for the first time, I ask for regular acrylic nails and the guy who did it kept messing up and hurt my daughter a couple times he seriously didn't know what he was doing and had someone else help him, didn't had all tools needed to perform his job, didn't do the design we ask for and still charge $55 dollars when I check prices I saw that he had over charge me, and charge me the price of gel nail. We asked ahead of time and were told $8 I even thought that was a bit much JUST to polish. However. When she was done was told oh, I didn't know you wanted gel. I said yes she has her own polish and then was told oh because the light $16 REALLY? NOT COOL and she has her own light at home, she could have done that too! This was my first time visiting Delicate Nail & Spa. What a pleasure it was! Nice employees, very clean establishment and most importantly exceptional service. I received the best pedi/mani fromTami. She really took her time to make my visit relaxing and it was apparent that she was very experienced because she paid attention to details without me having to ask her if she could please do "this or that". I've heard bad things about other places, I needed a pedicure badly, and I went to La Belle last year around May, so I was overdue, but... La Belle's packages can be $50 on up if you want something GOOD... but when I saw this place was much cheaper, and with the recommendations from other community members, I jumped on board as soon as I could free a day with my mom and my bestie. Best decision I've made in a while. 45 minute package pedicure, $32, then $5 for callous treatment. Let me tell you - it's affordable, enjoyable, and if you're looking for a good pedicure, put this place on your list of where you MUST go! The staff was wonderful, they checked with me frequently to make sure things weren't too hot or cold or too rough. My pedicurist was wonderful with her hands, the nail and cuticle trimming didn't hurt a bit! The package also included a hot towel wrap and hot rock treatment! My feet haven't felt this good in a while. Seriously, treat yourself at least once to Delicate nails. Had an appointment here mid-Saturday afternoon for myself, my mom, and grandma to all get pedicures. They got started on my grandma first. Waited for the other employees to finish up with their customers and then my mom and I got our pedicures started. My mom didn't know to specify the type of pedicure when scheduling the appointment, so they only had time to do basic pedicure for us (we usually like to get deluxe with wrap and hot stone), but no complaints. The employees were efficient and friendly and our feet looked fabulous when finished. I believe I have finally found it. That nail salon where I can go in, get a tremendous manicure and not get chatted up and walk out glad for having been there! I've been in search of a manicurist who provides an excellent manicure for a man and I believe that Tammy is that one. I walked in without an appointment and was seated immediately. Upon sitting down, I was provided a menu of the two (2) types of manicures. Initially, I chose what I'll call "the basic" but then, I said "what the heck", and chose "the premium". From the lemon and rose petal soak, to the scrub, lotion and hot wax, this was the best manicure I have experienced in the Lathrop-Manteca area. I enjoyed it so much that I made an appointment. Came in and got a pedicure and nails painted both in gel and total came to$108.00 (no I did not get acrylic just my nails painted) and they refused to add a rhinestone to my nail I ended up having to go to another nail salon and get it added. Worse was they kept arguing and then started to speak to each other in another language so you know they are talking about you. Price charged didn't match up to the price displayed on the wall. I had to go home and file my nails as they where all ruff and uneven. My daughter got her nails done not one nail shape matched the other and the man yelled at her. So if you have money to throw away and want to walk away with unshaped and unsmooth nails and if point out they are not done correctly and want to be yelled at and talked about this is the place for you. When my daughter went back to get fixed one nail isn't even attached to her finger and she told the guy and he yelled at her...I hope he reads this cause your lucky I wasn't there I wanted to go back in and cuss him out but my daughter said let it go...what kind of a man yells at a lady??? I came and tried delicate nails based on yelp reviews and my so-so experiences at other Manteca nail salons. I have been going to new salons to find the one I liked most. This was definitely not it! I came in 545 on a Thursday , the salon closes at 7. I was greeted right away. I let him know I needed a fill and pedicure. I was seated right away for my pedi. The pedi was great, that's where the two stars come from. I would come back only for a pedi. Half way through my pedi, he comes and sits next to me to start to my fill. I was a little thrown off. I was trying to relax while getting a pedicure but instead I hear grinding and acrylic dust all over me. The worst part, I asked for him to cut my nails and keep the shape. Somehow he heard long and round. So he finally takes me to his station, quickly paints my nails and puts me under the drier. Within 5 minutes he touches my nails, says there dry. Once he is driving away, I notice his finger mark on my nail!!!! They weren't dry. So frustrating. And on top of that, he put the thickest layer of acrylic on my nails.
