I saw NT posted on Instagram (can't remember if it was an ad or friend) but decided to bookmark it and check it out. I wanted a fill with new color so I called for an appointment. I arrived about 25mins early and since it wasn't crowded at the time, they were able to get me right in. Hana (I believe that's how she spelled her name!) made sure to check in with me a number of times to ensure color, design, general nail were good to go, which I appreciate. Sometimes at nail salons it gets past the point of being able to fix without starting over so it's helpful to have someone that's actually checking in. When I go back in for my pre-vacation set, I'll be booking with her. I was a bit surprised at the $77 price tag for a fill, but in fairness, I did not look at a price in advance nor did I bother to ask, so I'm not sure how much of it came from the fill itself and how much of it was, the rhinestones added to the nails. I am not allergic to anything and have been to many different nails shops as well, this has never happened before. My medical records and test results do not lie sir, I guess we will do this the hard way since me just coming to your shop to address the issue professionally and instead I got the worst customer service. You have zero concerns for any issues or concerns, you deflect by making this okay and put blame on my health as if you know my medical history with zero chances of your shop doing anything wrong. Taking yourself out of the equation completely is really sickening. Disinfect and sanitize your equipment and no one else will contract an infection how about that! Review: I want to share my recent experience at NT Nail Spa because it has been extremely painful and concerning. I called in for an appointment on Thursday September 11, 2025 for a full set with a bit of style, expecting a relaxing visit. Instead, it turned into a nightmare. Later on that night, my fingers started to swell, turn red, and became very painful. Within hours, the pain was unbearable (10 out of 10) and I had to go to the emergency room. The ER doctor confirmed that I had developed an infection from the un-sterilized nail equipment used to do my nails. I was prescribed antibiotics right away, given a shot on my arm to stop the infection from spreading. I went back to the nail shop to show the manager what my fingers looked like and requested a refund for this terrible service and sure enough the manager was super rude and unprofessional. He proceeded to call the owner and also took pictures of my hands and sent it to him. To my surprise the owner was even more rude, unprofessional and showed no sympathy for what had happened to my fingers. The manager had the nerve to say that it was an allergic reaction from my end, and nothing they did wrong. Mind you the infection is on all 10 of my fingers, not just one or two fingers but all 10 fingers consistently. I proceeded to ask to speak to the owner but the manger refused to give access to the owner. I asked for a refund, the manager pointed to a sign that said " no refunds" Since then, I've had 2 trips to the ER, I am now unable to go back to work until this infection is gone! I was put on antibiotics, a shot on the arm and another medication to kill the infection. I was recommended by the doctor to get the nails removed but how can I? Having to soak my infected fingers into acetone to remove my nails will cause a bigger infection. I have been to millions of different nails shops all over the Bayarea, Valley Area, LA ect, this has NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. To say the infection was caused by me being allergic to their nail supplies, as if the owner knew I had a history of allergies is outrageous!! I am not allergic to anything FYI. Shame on you as a business owner and a service provider to have such poor customer service, zero sympathy or concerns for your clients concerns or health after receiving poor service. I went back to the nail shop With the intentions to 1. Address the concerns and show what happened so they can fix the issue and assure it doesn't happen again to anyone else. 2. Definitely deserving of a refund for what I am going through! Instead I was treated like shit and they kept my money. Got a pedicure and within a week my light pink polish color was looking like it had a blue tint. Didn't wear socks or have anytbing rubbing in my feet. Same thing happened with my cousins nails. I usually love getting services done here (the CBD pedicure is great!) I went today for a manicure. I waited about half an hour, no biggie, except they took back clients before me who got there after me and did not have appointments. (Though sitting there for so long I did notice a cluster of spiders on the ceiling with missing light fixtures) Tony came to get me. When I sat down I told him I wanted a spa manicure with massage and scrub and wax, but that I cannot have gel polish as I am allergic to the UV light (I'm allergic to the sun hence no UV) he said ok. He proceeds with the usual soak and cuticle trimming. Then he says he'll do the massage after the polish and he proceeds to set up to do gel polish. I remind him, I am allergic to UV so I cannot have gel. So then he slaps some lotion on my arms, barely rubs not even for a minute and wipes off with a towel, never getting any on my hands. Then he sloppily painted my nails (very few color options if I don't get gel apparently) so I just got black, which he applied sloppily. He then wrote out my ticket, told me thank you and proceeded to go on to another client who wanted a pedicure and told me to stay in front of the fan till nails dry (while waiting for my nails to dry, I noticed more missing light fixtures and peeling paint on the ceiling) No massage, no scrub, no paraffin dip. I paid $27 (no tip as it was most definitely not deserved) for something I could have just done at home. I was really looking forward to some pampering as I have been taking care of my parents and working full time. I went to get a pedicure on Saturday as a walk-in. I got helped quickly, and they were nice, but when I sat down and got ready, Tony the one doing my nails cut me and didn't mention anything. I only noticed when I looked at my toe, which irritated me. I brought it to his attention, but he kept insisting it was good, and I told him it wasn't. I really wanted to leave a positive review today, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The pedicure that I received was rushed from start to finish. The polish was applied sloppily, even spilled on me at one point, and several mistakes were left uncleaned. On top of that, my feet somehow looked drier leaving the salon than when I arrived. I know there are talented technicians here, but so far I haven't had any luck with the three I've tried (one man and two women). Every visit has felt rushed, with little attention to detail. A pedicure (or manicure) should feel like care and relaxation, not something you have to redo at home. Was traveling through and decided to get mani and pedi. Both the manicurist and pedicurist opened fresh tools from the package. Especially happy with how the manicurist did 3 coats of gel, my nails are thin prone to tearing and it really made all the difference. going on three weeks and both hands and feet still look amazing with no chips or breaks. I would say short to medium length French tip they charged me $64 which I thought was actually a very fair price and I was very happy with the quality of the work. But then I came two weeks later for a fill same length French tip again and they charged me $68 and since I paid a card rounded up to $72. I don't understand how a feel is more than a full set. You're using less product and it's less time. When I asked if it was correct, he just said yeah I'm guessing if that's what he wrote on the ticket. So I just paid it and went on with my day. If I would've known it would've cost more for me to get a fill. I would've just waited four weeks and got a whole brand new set for cheaper. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Henry!!! He did my nails for a while and I had to move about 5 hours away. I haven't found anyone in my new area that does as good of a job as Henry. I had to go down there and reached out to Henry that morning and he was able to get my sister and me in. I got a new full set and my sister got a fill by Ben. I'm trying to get Henry to move up here because there is just no one out here that does such a meticulous job. You can tell he takes pride in his work. Absolutely horrible service, they did not show any kind of respect. I took my mom there who had an accident a few years and is unable to move her fingers. The man seemed annoyed the whole time she would even come in with an issue. He would insist she's moving her hands in the gel machine and that's why they wouldn't dry I told him she has had plenty of gel manicures before she knows how it is done he replies with oh must be my fault. My mom told him the fingers can still feel pain to be gentle and he intentionally pulled them harder. My mom was in tears leaving the nail salon. I want to start by being positive and saying Henry gave me an incredible pedicure, very relaxing. I do not remember the name of the woman who gave me a full set and don't want to bash a business but this is the absolute worst full set I've ever gotten in my life, looking at my nails over the past week has made me so sad, especially for paying $60 + a $15 tip. I told her I wanted short, square nails, and showed her pictures online, and she went to work, at first they looked more like "duck" nails and were basically flared outwards , I asked if she could please file them so they could look a bit more sleek, she said "oh you want coffin" I kind of laughed, because it's not what I wanted, I wanted square, but I said "oh ok I guess I'll have to ask for that next time." I went in for a full set. The owner asked if I wanted a pedicure also as they could do them at the same time. I agreed and sat in the pedicure chair. After my feet were needed in the luke warm water she said she would have to do my nails after the pedicure. That was fine, I wasn't in any hurry. TWO & A HALF hours later, the girl finished my toes and the owner said it was too late to do full set and I have to come back the next day. WTF?!?!! All I wanted initially was a full set! The sweet young girl did a decent job on the pedicure except for my big toe nail being crooked af. The pedicure was $50 and I tipped 20% for total charge if $60. When I checked my bank account I was charged $75. If I can find my receipt I will definitely be getting a refund for the $15 but I will not be spending anymore money there. Update. I deleted my last review since I decided to go back to Roy. (Roy is GREAT!!!) I really didn't want to because of how bad that last appointment with a different tech went, but it's so hard to find a good nail tech these days. (sigh). So I put my fears aside and said F*** it! I usually go to NT Nails in Modesto, but on my way back from the Bay Area, I stopped at the Manteca location for a gel nail removal and redo. I arrived about 40 minutes before closing and asked if it was too late. One of the gentlemen assured me it was no problem, but I should have been wary of the rushed job. He quickly and unevenly removed my old gel, which left my nails in poor shape. The cuticle work was equally disappointing, with many cuticles left untouched. The nail trimming was also hasty and uneven. When choosing a color, I asked multiple times if the sheer orange polish I selected was indeed sheer. I was assured it was, but it turned out to be anything but sheer. The application was sloppy, and after just a week, my polish is chipping and the growth is so uneven it's even pulling my hair during shampooing. I won't be returning to NT Nails in Manteca. read more
