I had been coming here for so long but I'm pretty much over it. Three of my last four trips have resulted in rushed jobs by nail techs that either didn't pay attention or didn't care... I've always had pictures of what I wanted, and have even learned to keep it simple... It is just not worth sitting in the chair for another hour while they fix something. So yes, I am the one that leaves incredibly unhappy. Time to start putting that $100 in the savings instead. In the attached pictures you can see the green nail of which my nail tech last time did a really good job and took her time... The yellow nail below was someone that clearly was just trying to get you out of the chair. When I got home I also noticed that the tips on my thumbs are like a mountain range with peaks and dips. Also, when a nail check is 40 minutes late to work... The rest of the staff could at least give the person waiting the courtesy of letting them know she is not even close. Came here a few more times and almost every time I've come I've had extremely rude service by the lady that sits close to the front door, not sure what her name was. She made snarky comments when I told her what I wanted and would then talk to the other workers in a different language and laugh. Just kinda ruined the experience every time. The workstations are dusty and messy, and all of the workers seem very disorganized concerning appointment scheduling. The nails themselves were alright, but I didn't ever get anything fancy so I can't attest to the shop's quality very well. One of the ladies seemed really nice and attentive so it's unfortunate that one or two ladies ruin it for them all, but overall this place doesn't seem great. read more

It was okay. Nothing really special about the place. I got a good pedicure but i probably wont be back. The place is definitely a lil old. They didn't tell me the price up front so that was a little misleading. For gel manicure it was $45 which is typical for what you get. But i could've paid the same at another place for a better experience. Pretty much everyone in the shop was sick but they had masks on which was comforting. I went initially looking for Alan, who's my go to mail guy. I was super busy over the past year and haven't done my nails in about that long. I text him and he told me to come in. He forgot to tell me that he changed locations. When I got to La Queen, they informed me, he had moved. I asked for a gel powder dip service. "Absolutely. we do. Nancy do for you." Cool I thought. I gotta ask Alan where he's at now. Anyways , all goes smooth until I notice there is no powder on the table. I ask her your going to do a gel powder dip right? She says yes. Then another young lady comes to do my design. Which was $5 for each mail. Expensive for mediocre work honestly. Anyways, after she finishes one nail, I look at her and say "I'm confused. Came in to get a full set and Alan was the awesome nail tech who helped me. He took the time to soak my nails to get the dip powder off easier, that stuff is a pain. I decided to go out of my comfort zone and try something new so I got a coffin shape, Alan did so amazing at making sure they were even and the same length and nothing was crooked or uneven, I really appreciate that because lots of places don't care and it ends up driving me nuts. His acrylic it's nice and smooth and the perfect thickness, not bulky like what happens a lot. I will definitely be returning here to see him again! read more

2nd & LAST time here!! The first time I came in was off of reviews and photos. The lady who did my nails was friendly and made them look amazing. This time the people where fine, but the job was horrible! The original lady wasn't in so I asked the man working on my stuff twice if he could do the simple design I wanted. TWICE he said yes. Needless to say it came out nothing like what I wanted! However I know not everyone is an artist and I didn't want to fault them for trying. My TRUE ISSUE here is that I spent 20min at the dryer, drove home in the paper slippers and was BARE FOOT for the rest of the day (I had my pedicure at 2pm) yet somehow I wake up this morning and the already shitty design has smeared & my other toe is smudged off. I went here today to treat my mom with a pedicure and myself, a full gel set manicure. Before coming, I looked through their Yelp gallery and all the pictures posted were very promising. I was looking forward coming to this nail salon but, the end result was not what my mom and I expected. I will break down my review in two parts: Customer service and quality/pricing. Customer Service: 2/5 Once we arrived, we were not greeted very friendly but at the time, I let it pass since all the techs (two at the time) were all working on customers. During my experience, all I have to say is that these nail techs lack personality and are quite rude. Especially, the tech working on my mom's feet. I was not even half way done through my manicure and when I turned my head to check on my mom, I see that she was already finished. Not even 10 minutes. Whoever the lady was working on her pedicure, she did a sloppy and lazy job. We specifically asked for the most basic gel pedicure. If my mom wanted to soak her feet in the bathroom sink for 5 minutes and put lotion on her calves, she could have done it herself. As for me, the person who took care of me was a male. I did not really have much issues with him.. He asked the basics, what shape and color I wanted, etc. but other than that, it was probably the most boring experience having to watch him sit so quietly. Quality/Pricing: 1.5/5 Coming from the Bay Area, it has been very hard finding a real good nail salon in Manteca that could reach the same standards. I reallyy wanted to like La'Queen but, we were just not happy walking out of the salon. Not only was the customer service so bland, but their work is not even worth the prices they charge. I expected to get a regular gel set with at least a smooth coating but, unfortunately left with a crooked thumb nail, very bumpy nail beds and air bubbles. They charged me $40 for a full gel set, $25 for a "regular" pedicure. With tip, I spent a little over $70. And I really did not want to tip. Rude employees. Very DIRTY AND DUSTY. Clutter EVERYWHERE. Dusty plants. They do not clean their stations. Dirty nail files and tools. Dirty towel to set my hands on while they did my nails. All my nails are different shapes, she rushed doing them. Gel nail polish yet it's coming off after 4 days. When she polished my nails she didn't polish all the way to top of my nail bed so looked like I needed a fill. This was my 3rd time. They took a party of 5 without a problem on a Sunday afternoon. The place is pretty small and may seem "eh" but they are very sanitary and are considerate of COVID guidelines. We all received a pedicure and half of us got a full set while my mom and sister in law did a gel manicure and regular manicure. They took care of all of us! And I loved that they went into town with my callus treatment. This was the first time EVER that someone has really scrubbed my calluses. Usually places will just go through the motion, but not here. When I mentioned that they were too sharp and square, she snapped at me and raised her voice. Horrible customer service!! I made an appointment, apparently they double booked for the same time, yet no one tells me this. They ask me to wait, I do, patiently for an HOUR! I can see Lam (who my appointment is with) is almost done with the pedicure, so I wait. Tina asks me if I want to wait for lam, I said "yes I made the appointment with him for 6. Will it be long?" She told me "no no no just wait". He comes up a few moments later to prepare the table for a manicure. I tell him, "ummm I'm only here today for a pedicure", he talks to Tina and she responds to me, "You wait for him to do his appointments nail. She also had a 6:00pm appointment. Idk what happened." Then asks the lady if someone else can do her nails so he can start my pedicure. She didn't want to so they reschedule me for another day. I think the situation speaks for itself. Had I been told the truth from when I walked in, I would have just came back another day or had someone else complete my pedicure. There was no apologizes, no understanding or anything from these people. I really didn't appreciate paying a babysitter to sit and watch everyone else get their nails/toes done. If I was welcomed in a friendly manner and had an even job on my refill, I'd leave a better review. Not only were my nails filled in crooked, the gazes the people gave me made me feel very uncomfortable. I had to wait about 20 minutes which wasn't that bad. The service and the nail refill were completely atrocious. I tried to be friendly, and have small talk with the nail lady there, yet she made it seem as if she didn't want to talk to me at all. I then told her not once but three times that I wanted to switch nail colors to something more neutral for work, and apparently the message didn't go through to her. Not to mention that male employee next to her rudely cut into our conversation when I asked her how long the place has been opened. Honestly this will be the first and last time coming there. What I got were these.... can still see the blue glitter from previous nail art. Sloppy, wavy, lumpy acrylic with rough, uneven edges, and all with an attitude like she couldn't be bothered and was completely annoyed with doing her job and running her customer service business. I was looking for a nail salon that did nail designs and came across La Queen's yelp page. The staff here are very talented and nice and besides beautiful design work they also carry a lot of new unique colors (cat eye, chrome etc) that I haven't seen other local salons carry. I also love how they really massage and take their time during pedis unlike other places that just massage your feet for like a minute. My only con about this salon is that their prices are higher then I've had at any other place. But I guess since you're getting access to better colors and designs it's expected. read more

Hands down my favorite set. It was my first time here. Jolly was my nail technician. She was absolutely amazing. I asked for a soft pink ombre and on my ring fingers I wanted white with glitter. She did exactly what I asked for. We both forgot that I had asked for white on my ring fingers and she accidentally did all my nails ombre. She was able to fix it (at no extra cost) and now you cant even tell it was ever ombre. Total price was $40 for powder ombre and 2 white nails with glitter. read more
