I've been coming to this nail salon regularly for monthly services, and while the quality of the work can be decent, the biggest issue is their complete lack of respect for customers' time. Despite making appointments, I consistently end up waiting 30-45 minutes or more before services actually begin. My most recent visit was the final straw. I specifically booked an appointment with the expectation that my full set and pedicure would be done simultaneously to save time. Instead, I sat waiting nearly 45 minutes for the pedicure technician while only my nail service started. Even after explaining to the manager that I had limited time and needed to coordinate childcare responsibilities, there was no effort made to accommodate the appointment I had booked. This isn't an isolated incident. On a previous visit, I was essentially told that they were busy and couldn't keep to the appointment schedule--even though I had made an appointment in advance. If appointments don't mean anything, then what's the point of scheduling them? Many of us are balancing work, family responsibilities, and childcare. We plan our day around appointments and expect businesses to respect the time they ask us to reserve. Unfortunately, this salon operates more like a walk-in factory than an appointment-based business. The inconsistent service quality is one thing, but the repeated disregard for customers' time and poor appointment management is why I won't be returning. **Update** Both of my big toes are now infected. Aside from terrible service, they do not clean their utensils! I will be reporting this to state board. It was my second time coming here & it was definitely way different than the first time. I received a pedicure from Mimi & noticed right away that her vibe was off. Even though she was speaking in another language her tone right away told me she wasn't saying good things. I asked for the spa cafe pedicure & with that comes a coffee massage. She continued to rub my dry legs with dry coffee grounds which was super painful. She then started aggressively moving the towels & tapping my feet to move them but not in a very nice way. When my service was done she flicked the towels away from my feet & said "ok done" with a very annoyed tone. She then tried cleaning up the tub with me still on it & looked very annoyed at the fact that I had to move my legs over her trying to remove the plastic protector. I would also like to mention my whole experience felt rushed & my pedicure was poorly done. My nails were all different lengths & there was polish on my cuticles. Not everyone has good days but it's very unprofessional to take it out on a customer who just wanted a day of relaxing self care. read more

We were in the area for a visit and I had been asking my husband for a pedicure for weeks. He found this spot on Google, also the only one open at 8am, and called to make a reservation. It was a bot on the other end, but it quickly took down our information and got us booked. They are super well staffed and have plenty of chairs. All of their equipment was well maintained and their massage chairs were super comfortable. We were offered water and a cookie for snacks, and given a comprehensive menu of services. I opted for the most basic and it still included a scrub, foot massage, and a lemon/rose water soak. My technician was very detail oriented and made my toes shine! For the price ($55 for gel pedi, $35 for male mani with buffing) their service and quality of the polish cannot be beat! I booked easily online this morning. I had never been there before today but they were open early which is what I needed. Kim gave my my manicure/nails. She trimmed and shaped them exactly how I wanted, made sure I liked the color I chose (it was my first time doing cat eye) and was very friendly. I've been going to Fabulous Nails for years. I went in a few weeks ago for my usual pedicure and I didn't recognize anyone. The interior decor had changed. I was given a small bottle of water which I think was a nice touch, I asked the man if they are the new owners and he pretended not to speak English. My pedicure was a 7 out of ten. Booked appointments on Friday 5/16/25 for Sunday5/18/25 with Rachel, for a gel pedi (for me) and a gel pedi + mani for my mom, as a late Mother's Day treat and a treat for her going to Hawaii. Mind you, they NEVER did my mom's Manicure!! My mom had to bring it up at the end and they're telling her it's a 10 minute wait, but some lady across from us is getting her nails and feet down at the same time, like WHAT? My friend and I walked in for an Appointment at 3:45pm today. We called around 3:20pm and the entire phone call was an AI bot who scheduled us completely wrong. I ended up being the guest which was fine but when we both walked in they made me grab a ticket and had her confirm the appointment, which theoretically would be the same appointment. I had to grab a ticket and wait as of I was a walk-in and just wanted a gel manicure, my friend wanted a gel manicure and pedicure. She was seen while I waited for almost 30 minutes before they called me up, by that time they were almost done with her entire manicure and pedicure cause they had 2 women working on her at once. When called up they said "Just a manicure, let's go." I politely said, "It was actually a gel-manicure and since she's almost done, plus I unfortunately waited this long and your appointments are backing up, so I would sadly have to decline." She just said, "No she's not even close to being done. It's fine." And still kindly said, "It's totally fine, help these ladies who've been waiting before me." And she just walked away. And my friend had a translator in her ear and lobe behold, they were talking trash about me and my appearance and talking about my best friends feet. They were also very aggressive with her hands. It was a nightmare for. So I sat waiting and 10 minutes later my friend was all done. Thank God, I didn't follow through cause then my friend would've had to wait for me too. My friend would've left and had they not rushed her to the back without me, but unfortunately before we knew what was going on and that they separated out appointment she was already being serviced and I was left waiting. Been coming here for years. The prices have gone up dramatically but that's not why I'm writing. I requested acrylic tips. I've had them before and liked the way they looked. I mentioned at the start that I them short, I asked again when she cut off the long section. She said it wasn't possible and continued. I paid about &200 services (manicure and pedicure) and tip. They are the only place in Manteca that offers hard gel (Gel-X, TAP gel, etc.) I decided to make the switch to hard gel after I started having what I assume were allergic reactions to the acrylic my previous salon was using. This is also the only place I've been that doesn't try to talk me out of doing shorter nails. (my nails have to be below a certain length due to working with young children and job policies, and other salons have told me I should still keep my nail length longer.) The Wi-Fi and internet was down so no television worked. It was a dead zone because I had no service the whole time. The ladies said it happens a lot. Upon arriving, the building smelled like someone had been smoking inside. I felt uncomfortable because I had a child with me and did not want either of us inhaling the smell for our duration there. Secondly, the lights were very dim in the rooms for some reason! I did not like the environment: dark, smelled bad, and also some of the chairs looked quite dirty, especially the kid one. I politely told the man that it smelled very strongly so I was leaving. As soon as I left, that man stepped out and began to smoke, probably the reason why it smelled so strongly inside :/ Unfortunately my experience was not good so I left and went to a much better spa, which was bright, clean and comfortable. read more

Don't go here for wax services unless you want your time wasted. Called for a wax appointment and was told to come in 30 mins by Kim, arrived and waited to be told I had to wait for another girl who had an appointment after mine and arrived way after me because Kim was clearly intimidated by her. Kim is the one who told me to come at that time, you would think that's an appointment but she told me I was a walk in. The last appointment I made here I ended up leaving because they lied about the worker I requested being there and tried to have Kim do it, but she burned my sister's lip with the wax, which is why I specially requested someone else do the service. Beautiful place but Kim has a bad attitude and they don't hold true to appointment times. Would recommend for pedicures if you have the patience to be treated like an option and ask that they do more than the bare minimum. read more
