I got my nails done at this shop yesterday, because I am going to a wedding. The left hand can out good but the right hand was done soooo sloppy the point finger was put on side ways and the nails are way bigger on the right hand then the left and I was there for 3 hours. I used to really love this place when they first opened, they were super clean and put a lot of effort into making everything perfect. But over the past year, I've noticed the cleanliness has gone a little downhill. It feels like they've gotten too comfortable and aren't maintaining the same standards anymore, which is really disappointing because this used to be my favorite nail spa in Manteca. I went in recently and was shocked that more than half the staff seemed extremely sick; coughing, sniffling, with red, watery eyes. I asked the receptionist if everyone was sick because I have a weak immune system after recently recovering from pneumonia and COVID. She told me it was my choice to stay and that they were wearing masks "because of the acrylic," even though it was clear they were sick. To top it off, when I went to use the restroom, I overheard one of the techs (also sick) coughing non-stop in the bathroom hacking up a storm. It made me really uncomfortable and concerned for my health. Sometimes it's ok to take a day off and get better so you don't infect your clientele... not everyone wants to get sick and it's not very considerate for other people's health. read more

I received the deluxe spa package for $50 with callus removal, sugar scrub and paraffin wax. Helen was my nail technician and she did an amazing job, with not just cutting my toe nails but also shaping them, you know, they treat guys any-kind-of-way?? I was not rushed, the leg and foot massage with the right pressure was great with hot stones! Basketball season is coming up and I am ready to play ball, don't judge me! DO NOT GO HERE! Terrible customer service. The girl at the front desk is rude, doesn't greet people, you have to speak to her and she overbooks. I waited 25 minutes for a brow wax, continued to ask when the lady would be able to do it and was told "soon," "5 mins," and after a while just got awkward looks and no communication. The woman who was supposed to do my wax kept glancing at me but didn't speak or make any effort to acknowledge that I was and had been waiting. I ultimately left because I was annoyed and uncomfortable, the service I had scheduled and waited for was simple, and they do not deserve my or anyone else's money. This is not the first time I've come and had to wait past my appointment time but it's the longest! Terrible business. Wasted 30 minutes and gas to be treated like I didn't matter. read more

Update on my my finger. On a 10 day course of strong antibiotics (clindamycin) and had to have my finger lanced and drained of pus and fluid 2 days ago because it was so swollen and unbearable. I called them to complain about what happened and the girl in the phone said "oh, do you want to get your nails done??" No! No I don't want my nails done here ever again. If you want a raging staff infection in your finger, then come here. Definitely see Lisa, she'll fix you right up with one!!! I've been a loyal customer of this place for a while, they seemed very clean. I did stop for about a year because I thought I got a fungus from whoever did my nails last. My nails were lifting and just not looking right. So I went on meds for that and went natural with my nails for a year. Decided to try this place again. I've been taking my daughters here for a few months with no issues. Well, as the lady was doing my nails, she got way too aggressive while trimming my cuticles and cut me bad to the point that I was bleeding. It felt sore for a couple days but didn't think much of it. Then it got swollen. I iced it, soaked it in alcohol, put on neosporin....it just kept getting worse and worse. It was hot to the touch and swollen to the point that I couldn't bend it. Never have I ever had an issue anywhere when getting my nails done, just here!! read more

I have been coming here with my sister for about a year but this last time will be my last. First of all, our other sister was visiting from out of town and we thought it would be fun to have a girls spa day. Well. They put the two of us regulars at the pedicure stations and placed my visiting sister as far away from us as possible at the corner manicure station. I felt so bad for her sitting there with a nail tech who she couldn't even talk to because of the language barrier! Then to see how pricey they are compared to a lot of other places was just too much. But it gets worse.. I didn't learn my lesson. I came back for the Deluxe Mani and Deluxe Pedi with June. I usually go to Helen but it didn't work out that time for some reason. So, I had a 3:00 appt and arrived about 5 minutes early. They told me June was still with a customer and I would have to wait.. from 3:00 to 3:40!!!!! Remember that, it'll come in handy later. So, I chose my colors and things were ok but she didn't say more than a couple of sentences the whole time. Even when I tried talking to her, she didn't want to engage. So, we finally finish and head for the manicure. Where's my polish? She can't find my color. So we chose something similar. She starts the manicure and ::drum roll:: she said "someone else is going to have to finish you because my 5:00 is here." WAIT, what??? Didn't you just make ME wait 40 freaking minutes when I was here 5 minutes early for my appointment because YOU were finishing someone else? Now I have never worked in a salon but I HAVE owned businesses before and I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have stayed in business long by treating our clients and customers this way. While I gave a 5 star review 2 months ago, today gets a 1! We had a 9 Am appt for 2 full sets. I will admit we were 12 minutes late, however the receptionist didn't even have us in the book. They didn't have the staff to do both of us together. I showed the girl a picture of the last set that was amazing. I explained I DID NOT want a "painted on" french tip. I explained to the gal I already wasn't happy that we were both having nails done together. Lisa called the receptionist over and told her. How in gods earth this young lady still has a job is beyond me. She was rude, told me I could choose to have the nails done by 2 employees that don't know how to do them! I went to this salon on 2/8/2024. The lady that was going to help me, became very disrespectful by sqeezing my hand very hard and saying that I was wearing acrylic polish, and I only wear gel. I actually didn't understand why she was acting like this. She works on station #10. Thank God , the very sweet girl on station #5 stepped in and told me that she would do my nails. All I wanted was a nail fill and change of color. This girl tried but my nails look horrible. I wanted cats eyes but really just got 3 layers of polish. I will find another salon. read more

By far one of the best manicures I have received! I came here after being so disappointed from another shop that was trying to charge 50 bucks for a manicure and 15 extra for gel. I was immediately greeted and a young gentleman that assisted me. His attention to detail was superb. I've never had so much attention to the bed of my nails. I went here about a week ago and got a full acrylic set , i will say that they're very sturdy , HOWEVER , that is no excuse for all of the other problems with these nails . there is a HAIR in my nail which isn't very noticeable but still upsetting , the nail tech only did one coat of color and the color looks like sh*t, and she burned the absolute HELL out of my cuticle! I have an extremely high pain tolerance but i was crying because of how badly this woman burned my cuticle . it proceeded to bleed for the entire rest of the appointment and then she put some sort of antiseptic liquid which burned EVEN WORSE. i do not recommend this place AT ALL . read more

As I sit here with partially started nails. I am a bit frustrated with this place. I started coming here based off the reviews. I was going to Hannah who did a good job but I called to reschedule and she called out sick so I went to Phi. I was not too happy with Phi's work as my nails were lumpy and the white she did wasn't very clean. I tried to schedule with Hannah again but she wasn't working that day, so I was placed with Kathy who did the best job on my pink and white nails thus far. I called to reschedule with Kathy and she no longer works there, I asked who was the best at pink and white and they referred me to Ana. Anna had started on my nails when she said it will be $65. I couldn't understand at first so she broke it down on a piece of paper for me. She wrote down $45 for basic fill, $5 for broken nail, $10 for French and then said $5 for coffin shape which I already have (and also would have been $70) I politely questioned why she's charging me to keep my current shape which she asked for a translator to help her. They asked me if I had my nails done there before, I explained how I've had to bounce around with techs and how I was never charged this amount before, so Ana said "okay you wait for Hannah to finish" and would not even continue (which I'm okay with considering the dishonesty) Kathy did amazing but is gone and Ella does a great job at pedicures but didn't clean under the nails as it states in the pedicure. Typically Ella does a wonderful job so it could have been just the combination of everything. The reason for three stars is the front desk lady stopped me as I left and apologized and wanted to rectify the situation, which I can appreciate. After which the owner Tim also stopped me and had a very polite and professional approach and wanted to fix the confusion, which shows an incredible amount of care in his customers. I would consider coming back specifically because the owner and front desk employee exuded such great customer service. read more
