This was an emergency I couldn't wait 2 weeks for him to come back so Tina at Busy Bee was avaliable at first I was super nervous to have someone else do my nails but Tina was awesome. I have been here 4 times now because she is that good: *She made sure she was doing the style I requested *she was super cool with doing LONG nails nails *she is not afraid to try new techniques *she has not once hesitated about my color choices. (I love black acrylic, but it makes a big mess some places won't do it or say black nails will be ugly) *she is not hesitant on using flat matt top coat *she has fit me in last minute for a quick wax *she has been able to fit my grandma in for a pedicure when I brought her in *the shop is cute *lots of colors, stickers designs, foil, jewels, geode style, and tons more. I really do appreciate Busy Bee for being so nice, for making sure I get what I requested, and for having competitive $$ prices. My nail guy is ready to retire in a few months so I am very happy I found such an awesome replacement for him. I made a 6 PM appointment for my husband and me for manicures and pedicures. The salon is on the smaller side and was definitely busy, but they were able to sit us together for our pedicures, which I really appreciated. One of the biggest things for me was that they did NOT pressure me to get gel! I stopped getting gel because it damaged my nails, and you'd be surprised how many salons make you feel like regular polish is an inconvenience. Not here! They had plenty of regular polish options, and something I really liked was that they actually have books filled with nail color samples that you can sit and flip through to choose your color. I've never seen that at a nail salon before! Granted, I rarely go to salons because I usually do my own nails, but I thought that was such a nice touch and made picking a color so much easier. The woman who did my manicure was so kind and patient. She never made me feel rushed or like she wanted me out of her chair because I wasn't spending extra on gel. I had recently cut my nails much shorter than I normally wear them, and she made them look SO pretty. I absolutely love how they turned out! My husband, on the other hand, was there very reluctantly . I try to convince him to get a manicure and pedicure with me at least once a year, and apparently yesterday was the day! No polish for him, of course. He survived and actually had a good experience. We both chose the #2 pedicure for $40, and our total for two manicures AND two pedicures was only $100, which I thought was fantastic. I'll admit I got a little nervous when the woman doing my pedicure started working on my cuticles because I've been clipped at salons before , but she was careful and didn't hurt me at all. Apparently that was just my past nail-salon trauma kicking in. Overall, this was such a nice new experience for us and a great way to spend the two hours while our daughter was at tennis. Everyone was friendly, we didn't feel rushed, the prices were reasonable, and most importantly, I LOVE my nails. As for my nails, I do appreciate corrections that were quickly made when I asked, but I do wish that nail techs in general would speak up early if shown a design that they aren't quite sure they can execute. I'm one that comes in with back up plans just in case, but the color scheme is usually different. So once they say they can do it I'm committed to that design. The one I got was OK... And I did tell him good enough when he asked, but because I knew that was pretty much where we were. I don't dislike it, which is why I didn't go through the trouble of having him try again...
