I just had an awful experience at KT Nails. The gel is bubbled and I told them, they did nothing to help fix the problem, said it's the weather. I call BS. I was so upset. The way they handled the situation was to put more clear gel over which smudged because it was too thick. I told them I want it done right and they proceeded to say they couldn't fix it and acted as if "oh well". I refused to pay if they didn't want to fix the problem. At the end they said it must be their product. Never waste your money. *** In response to KT Nails comment *** I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt by going back although my sister had bad results. She was getting her nails done for a special occasion and hated them. Yeah, I guess you can call me a fool for having faith you might not mess us another set of nails. Updated review. I was pretty disappointed that my pedicure looked good when I left, but literally my toes chipped within a few days and the paint didn't look shiny. It looked like no topcoat was on. When I got there on time they looked at me like what do you want. Told them I had appt and finally an older gentleman came over and I got the $35!pedicure. He pumice the area by my little toe until it bled. I said ouch. He ignored me. When he finally finished he had to wake the older lady up ( she was asleep in a chair in front of TV) to paint my nails. When she finished I gave her my $50 gift certificate. Told her to keep it. I wouldn't be back. She said you still owe me $5. I told her she wasn't getting anymore! If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I paid $30 for my gel nails plus tip and they chipped the NEXT DAY. On top of that, I asked if my pearlescent color would be opaque, which my nail tech assured me that it would, and by the third coat you could still very clearly see the natural nail and all the streaks. I wasted a great deal of money here and absolutely regret coming to this nail salon. They're more expensive than other places and have even worse service. Do not go here. Update: as if this place could not get worse, I went back to ask them to get them redone and the woman told me I that I made my nails chip! And when I said just redo them the same color as my toes, she said I came in to get a new color and was going to charge me! They would not offer a refund and they had the worst service ever. Giant waste of money. My nails look terrible and now I have to ruin my nails and pick them off because they wouldn't fix them. Sorry, her idea of "fixing them" was putting a FIFTH coat of polish over LIFTED NAILS. Idiots. They don't know how to run a business. I've been going to Kt Nails for a few months now, and I only get gel manicures and pedis, but I've been really happy with them because the gel colors last a long time. I've gone to two other nail shops in town where the color starts chipping on the third day- not cool for a $35+ mani. I saw someone say this establishment was a hit or miss. I haven't had a "hit" yet, just your typical service. Nothing awful, nothing exceptional. I haven't left a poor review anywhere before, but am still upset about the experience I had a few days ago. I went in to get a manicure and pedicure, both gel, simple enough. I came in and a gentlemen began working on my feet while a woman worked on my hands. The gentlemen who worked on my feet did a solid job. I was happy with how they turned out as well as the care he took. This review is not about him. It is about the woman who "worked" on my hands. She soaked my hands, trimmed my nails and began to "cut" my cuticles. She was not in fact cutting my cuticles but pretending too. At first I thought maybe I was wrong, but she quite literally ran the cuticle trimmer around my cuticles. I didn't want to be rude and asked them to be cut shorter as they were very long. She told me if she want any shorter I might bleed and her tone made me feel like I was bothering her. Which is ironic, but that's another conversation. In any case, I told her I trusted her so she begins again and again pretends to cut my cuticles. I finally stopped her and politely asked her if I could have the trimmer and cut them myself. She immediately walked away and the gentleman at my feet handed me a trimmer and I proceeded to cut my cuticles. A LOT if cuticle came off. I was covered in it. After I get done I look up and some additional customers came in. She wasn't working with any of them but was telling them to sit and directing them on what to do. When I let her know I was done and ready for her to begin again she blew me off and started working on someone else and that I had to wait, when I was there FIRST. I was shocked to be treated with such careless ness and disdain. The other gentlemen was extremely kind and attentive and this woman made me feel like I was a nuisance that was in the way. After waiting 30 minutes for her to wrap up with the lady that walked in, she worked on me and sped through the process so much so that my nails were left sticky. When I told her she seemed annoyed again and told me I had to wait under the lamp longer, which I did, but they were still tacky to the touch. It is really unfortunate that I had this experience here because I honestly enjoy the pedicure packages, but will never go here for my hands again. Hence the 2/5 stars. I'll give them an opportunity with my feet again, but never my hands. Do with that information what you'd like. read more

I have been here multiple times. Mainly due to convenience. I don't know why I continue to do this to myself... always thinking it'll be better 'this time'. It isn't horrible but, it isn't good by any means. There are younger girls that are occasionally here that do a good job. However, the older lady here legitimately pretends to trim your cuticles by running the tool over your finger. I was not happy about that. She did the same with my pedicure and when I got up the nerve to ask her to please trim my cuticles, she told me the man that applied my dead skin treatment already had. No, he had not. It's just frustrating when you're paying for a service and you're made to feel like a nuisance as opposed to a client. They did that to me and my nails were so ugly I went to another salon the next day to get them done again! Anyway so all I wanted was to get my acrylics taken off and maybe even get a pedicure since it cost 10 for nail take off and 5 if you get another service. I walk in and she asked "may I help you" I said nail take off please and once I said that she already seemed hesitant to assist me. Every single worker came and looked at my nails and barley even tried to take my nails off. This place is horrible. The lady made such a mess on my nails, during the whole appointment, it was just so bad. I could have done my nails myself and they would've turned out better. I came for a fill and just wanted white gel polish- nothing crazy. It was fine up until she started painting. I asked her to clean up around the edges politely and she refused and asked where I saw flaws. Then she said oh no it comes off, ok.... No lol. I have powder all over my hands. To make it better there is clear coat all over my nails and cuticles that she again refused to clean up and said clear coat is fine on my finger/cuticle because you can't see it. I told her oh you can see it, I would like that fixed please (again very polite). Did not fix anything and my cuticle is glued down but clear coat and it hurts. I just had one of the best pedicures I've ever had! I was hesitant to try this salon because of some of the negative reviews, but I am very pleased with my experience. Lee took her time and did a great job, including a wonderful massage. I got the most expensive pedicure offered, complete with mud mask, paraffin dip and warm stone massage. And the price was extremely reasonable at 35.00. I took off one star because the salon was freezing cold, about the same temperature as outside on this cold January morning. Additionally, while I was there a lady came in requesting a fill. There were two other technicians just sitting around watching TV or doing things on their phones, and the lady sat for about a half an hour before the one other working technician called her over. I'm not sure the reason for this, maybe the others didn't know how to do what she wanted, but regardless no explanation was offered to the lady. If it had been me I would have been very upset. So while my experience was wonderful, I saw a lack in customer service of others and they really need to turn the heat on at least a little bit in the dead of winter. Will I be back? Yes, but cautiously. read more

Came in for pedicure which I have before so I know the usual pick a color, sit down and then I'd be asked what pedicure I'd like. No one was in there so I didn't expect to be rushed. I was ready to pay for an upgraded treatment for the dead skin removal. The old man just sat me down and started took my color off my toes and quickly scrubbed both heals and legs in a total of like 2 minutes and that's being generous. Lotion was left on my legs and feet and no hot towel to finish, so I paid for I guess the basic and I didn't even get the full treatment. My heels are still rough and as I was waiting for my toes to dry I was rubbing me heals he came back and just told me to just sit for them to dry. The total time for my pedicure was 20 minutes including a few times for dry time. I'm extremely disappointed and will not be coming back even if it is convenient. This place is next door to my hairdressers place, so I decided to check it out. The first time I went I loved it, my gel mani lasted for an entire month! Not a chip, lift or edge to be found for 30 days. So I went back again the next time I got my hair done. This time I got both gel mani and pedi. Nothing fantastic about the pedicure, it was $33 for the one I got, good selection of regular colors and gel. My sister got hers done too and her mani was chipped within the week. When I first visited, Cathy spent the extra time in helping fix a toe nail that I had broke when I dropped a paint can on it the year before. My nails turned out horrible. They are uneven and missing acrylic in some spots, but don't worry the guy got lots of acrylic on my hands. Two of the workers got into a fight (verbal and physical) while I was getting my nails done. This was the worst visit I've ever had to any business. When I asked the gentleman to straighten out my nails he replied "you know it all don't you". I don't know everything, but I do know what a set of shity nails look like and that's what I got. One of my favorite parts was when he told me he was being lazy and wanted to go home. I'll be spending my money somewhere else from now on. I recommend you do the same.
