But with life changes and no family support, spending 6hrs out of my day was no longer feesable. I began my local search and found a spot nearby who did decent work, but their creativity was limiting. After 3mo I starred to realize the nail tech was cutting corners on my nails, and repeatedly filled over old acrylic so my nails weren't lasting ling at all. I began my search again and found busy bee. I saw Tina's work on yelp and knew she was it. Booking was quick and easy and she made time for me the same day. When I walked in, she looked to have just taken someone else and so I sat and waited about 15 minutes before her colleague Rosie welcomed me to her seat To begin removing my old color. Rosie noticed how old my nails looked and offered to provide me with a full set of fresh nails at a very reasonable cost So I agreed, and she prepared my nails while Tina finished with her client. Once her client left, I was welcome to transition to tina's seat, which began my new relationship with my new nail artist. Tina's shop is very well stocked with anything you could think of from color to acrylic powder to accessories you'd like to add into your nail design. I showed her the inspo pick I was hoping to get and she absolutely nailed it- every pun intended. At 25 years old and owning her own nail Salon I couldn't be more proud of her And I will definitely be supporting her business as an ongoing customer. Thank you, Tina and Rosie. I made a 6 PM appointment for my husband and me for manicures and pedicures. The salon is on the smaller side and was definitely busy, but they were able to sit us together for our pedicures, which I really appreciated. One of the biggest things for me was that they did NOT pressure me to get gel! I stopped getting gel because it damaged my nails, and you'd be surprised how many salons make you feel like regular polish is an inconvenience. Not here! They had plenty of regular polish options, and something I really liked was that they actually have books filled with nail color samples that you can sit and flip through to choose your color. I've never seen that at a nail salon before! Granted, I rarely go to salons because I usually do my own nails, but I thought that was such a nice touch and made picking a color so much easier. The woman who did my manicure was so kind and patient. She never made me feel rushed or like she wanted me out of her chair because I wasn't spending extra on gel. I had recently cut my nails much shorter than I normally wear them, and she made them look SO pretty. I absolutely love how they turned out! My husband, on the other hand, was there very reluctantly . I try to convince him to get a manicure and pedicure with me at least once a year, and apparently yesterday was the day! No polish for him, of course. He survived and actually had a good experience. We both chose the #2 pedicure for $40, and our total for two manicures AND two pedicures was only $100, which I thought was fantastic. I'll admit I got a little nervous when the woman doing my pedicure started working on my cuticles because I've been clipped at salons before , but she was careful and didn't hurt me at all. Apparently that was just my past nail-salon trauma kicking in. Overall, this was such a nice new experience for us and a great way to spend the two hours while our daughter was at tennis. Everyone was friendly, we didn't feel rushed, the prices were reasonable, and most importantly, I LOVE my nails. As for my nails, I do appreciate corrections that were quickly made when I asked, but I do wish that nail techs in general would speak up early if shown a design that they aren't quite sure they can execute. I'm one that comes in with back up plans just in case, but the color scheme is usually different. So once they say they can do it I'm committed to that design. The one I got was OK... And I did tell him good enough when he asked, but because I knew that was pretty much where we were. I don't dislike it, which is why I didn't go through the trouble of having him try again... I am highly allergic to acrylic so I can only get gel extensions done. I even put in the notes that I'm allergic to acrylic just so they don't cross contaminate I cannot use nail glue or anything with acrylic in it so the gel extensions have always been great for me. I walked in today for my appointment I made with Kim and I printed out my ticket and she asked me what I was getting done and I told her gel extensions and then she asked me if I wanted to fill on them or? And I told her a full set of gel extensions so she finished with her client and took me and she asked me what size I wanted and I told her long almond and she said she would cut them to that shape so I said that's fine. Then she started on one of my nails and I looked up and she had glued a tip onto my nail like she was going to do acrylic nails when I have nail glue on my finger my entire nail will blister and then fall off so I had to walk out of there CRYING and urged her to take it off immediately and then she tried to say I would be fine but I won't because I know what my allergy does and it is severe so I will not be going there ever again and people should be very weary going there because they had a huge walkout last time. I was there so she and another girl are the only ones doing nails and she is way too overwhelmed to pay any attention to what you put in the notes or what allergies you may have she needs to be more understanding that some people's allergies is severe.
