My husband has trusted this cleaners with his suits & clothing for over 25 years, & I've personally been a customer for the past 8 years. Unfortunately, our recent experience was extremely disappointing & honestly shocking. I brought in a brand-new dress months ago for cleaning. When I recently took it out of the plastic wrapping to wear for the first time, I discovered a large stain that was not there before. I had never worn the dress prior to that moment. When I first called, there was no answer. Carmen later called me back, but after listening to my concern for less than a minute, she interrupted to say she was not working that day, that she was busy, & that she would call me back later. That call never came. On April 20, 2026 at approximately 11:55 AM, my husband & I called her back & had her on a three-way call. As my husband calmly tried to ask why she never followed up or addressed the issue, she immediately became defensive. Without attempting to resolve anything, she abruptly decided that she would no longer accept us as customers after all these years of our loyalty to her business. What makes this even more disappointing is that this isn't the first concerning interaction. On a recent visit, she told my husband that many of his suits were "too old" & that she would no longer clean or press them. We respected her concerns & handled that conversation calmly & maturely. My husband even agreed to replace older suits & continue bringing in newer items. However, when we raised a valid concern about a stain on a brand-new dress, an item that had been left in her possession for months & only returned when the last time my husband & I picked up his clothes she informed him to take it home, we were met with defensiveness & dismissal instead of professionalism. A good business is built on accountability, communication, & respect for its customers. Long-term, loyal clients should not be dismissed out of frustration or sensitivity when raising a legitimate concern. Instead of resolving the issue, the owner chose to react emotionally, refuse responsibility, & end a 25+ year customer relationship. It is also worth noting that services are priced at a premium, yet customers are often pushed toward full dry cleaning rather than simple pressing, increasing the cost significantly. In this case, we paid a high price for a service that resulted in damage & no accountability. As an observation, over the many years we have been customers, there have been no noticeable upgrades to equipment or delivery vehicles. We were also informed that another location had closed. Customers can draw their own conclusions from that regarding how the business has been managed over time. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this cleaners. Brought in a bridesmaid dress to be cleaned and steamed and when I came to pick it up, it looked the exact same as when I dropped it off. stains, wrinkles, and all; including water stains from ironing I guess and she took it back to the back when she noticed them as she was showing me the dress. she charged me $40 initially then charged me $35 probably because she knew she barely did anything to it. She got sassy with me when I asked if there's anything we can do about it and was like well you only gave me 3 hours. And I understand that's a short period of time to work with but she accepted my request. She should manage customer expectations upfront and reasonably charge for the services provided. read more

Extremely reliable and personable cleaning and alterations business. I had a new coat that needed several alterations done, and they were both prompt and knowledgeable. After the initial adjustment to the coat, which included removing shoulder pads, the fit of the arm holes was slightly off, and so she recommended going back in to adjust the circumference of the arm hole. Dropped off suits for my wedding. We said we needed it by Thursday at the latest. When we called to check it was not done. Then when we got there they said they forgot to write the date so that's why it wasn't going to be done until Monday. They act like it's our fault that they forgot to write down Thursday when that that was clearly communicated. I feel like at the least they could discount the price given it was their error. At least they rushed it so we could get it. But nearly didn't have anything to wear for my wedding since it was still at this dry cleaners at noon when I have my wedding at 4. It's nice when people at least apologize and own up to a mistake rather than try to make it seem like it's the customers fault for the error. read more

My son used this place to have his work shirts dry-cleaned and had them put a couple of buttons on his shirt. It was a nightmare. First of all they are expensive, very expensive!!! Secondly, when he went back they only had half of his clothing there for him the other half was missing. He went back again to get the remaining clothes and they could not locate them again. We were in town and decided to help him out since he had a tight work schedule. My husband stood in the place for twenty minutes while they finally located his remaining items. No computer to track items and they are very unorganized. When my son put his shirt on that they put buttons on they used blue buttons on a black shirt. This is absolutely crazy. They charged him a total of $89.00 to dry-clean some shirt and put two buttons on. Beware!!!!! read more

So I don't go to cleaners often or get my clothes altered. I don't really wear anything that needs to be dry cleaned and even though I'm short, I've found clothing that fits my height! Anyway, I needed a dress for a wedding I'm in altered because this one was actually to long. I called Pristine Cleaners and Carmen was able to take me that day, even staying a little after she normally got off to be able to check and measure my dress on her own. When it came down to when I needed it, I told her I needed it by the upcoming Wednesday. It was the Thursday prior. She said it wouldn't be a problem and it would be ready. Sure enough, I called today to make sure it was ready and it was! I went to pick it up after I got off work at 5pm and it was ready and wonderful! Most recently I got a silly jumpsuit Halloween costume from a big box store that needed to be altered before I could wear it to parties! They were my first stop of a few I had planned to get pricing and I didn't go elsewhere because the first interaction went great, she seemed very attentive to what I was asking and I definitely felt like they could produce what I asked. I took a vest in here to have it hemmed, as I do not own a serger machine and just wanted a quick, line of stitching at the bottom to match the rest of the vest. First, it was not ready when I went in, and I went in the day after they said it would be there; second, she told me it would be $18, which I thought was a little steep for this service, but they charged me $20 (had it written on their copy of the receipt and not mine); and third, they used white thread on a grey vest. It looks terrible, not only the thread color, but the workmanship is very shotty and no hiding it as the thread color is so obvious. I will never return here. My saving grace! I needed to have a new dress shirt made presentable for an internal interview, that wasn't on my radar, with little lead time. Checking around most cleaners are only open for drop offs and pickups on the weekends. I walked in on Saturday, and asked the very kind lady if she could take care of my shirt that day (less than 3 hours till she closed, she said yes. When I came back, she told me she cleaned and pressed it. Cleaning was totally unexpected. She wished me a great interview and hoped I would get the position. My husband and I took 2 of my dresses and a pair of jeans in to be altered. They did not give us an estimate when we were there, so I asked my husband to call them when we were on our way back home to ask how much the total would be. We made the call about 3 minutes after we left their place, we did not even get on the freeway yet. They explained over the phone it would be $120 for both dresses and the jeans which is quite high compared to several places I have gone before to get dresses altered (and I get clothes altered every month). Typically they are around $35-40 at most for a dress, this place was charging nearly double. Since we were new to the area and I needed those clothes altered, we just decided to try this place out. So after they told me the price over the phone, I said cancel the black dress, and the lady who does the altering said " ok no problem" and confirmed she would not alter the dress. When I called to cancel, it was right before we got home which was a few minutes after we called in for the total amount. When we came back a few days later to pick-up my clothes, they explained it was too late to cancel the dress and made me pay for both dresses after the fact that I told them to cancel the other dress. I tried to make sense of it, but concluded that there is no possible way they could have started those dresses or even one of them a few minutes after we dropped them off. I made it crystal clear to cancel that one dress and the lady that I talked to confirmed it. Furthermore, it was their mistake for not canceling it after we told them about it and they charged us for their mistake. They also could've told me ahead of time if the dress truly has already been finished. But I got no calls or anything. Very unprofessional. I told my husband about the situation since he wasn't there when I picked up my clothes. After I explained it to him on the way back, he was pretty angry at what happened (and so was I) and we decided to call them to see if they had an explanation for this. My husband got on the phone with a younger man who was working at the front desk. He answered the phone, my husband told him who he was and explained to the guy that I was just in a few minutes ago to pick-up my dress and my husband immediately heard a dial tone. So he thought well maybe he got disconnected so he tried calling back. When he called back, he told me that the guy clearly hung up on him the first and the second time right after my husband told him who he was. I just could not believe how unprofessional this place was. I will never use them again and would never recommend anyone else to use them. How can businesses not understand proper customer service? Was it really worth it to get an extra $60 to rip off a customer and piss them off knowing that that customer won't return for repeat business? It makes me upset that they actually think they can fool a customer and charge them double for a job they didn't want done in the first place! On a side note the dresses were also not a good fit, after paying almost double you expect them to also do a better job, not the case. I believe we just got scammed. The first dress was uneven on the shoulders and the other one (the one that I wanted to cancel), I couldn't even fit past my head and I have a small head! How can you mess that up? Luckily, they were still wearable. The other dress was for my bridal shower and I told the lady ahead of time to take care of it which she messed up on. Don't go to this place! Don't risk it. Maybe their work as cleaners is good but they still scam customers. Do not use them unless you want to be overcharged for lousy work and then have to deal with poor customer service and no explanation for why they lied to you and just hang up on you because they know what they did was completely unprofessional. Highly irritated and disappointed. P.S. They have you change in a restroom in the back for alterations! Gross. read more

I came into town for a final interview with a local company and needed several pieces of clothing ironed quickly. After trying 4 other local places that told me no - I called Pristine Cleaners and they told me absolutely we can get that done for you in the time that I needed it. Which was only a couple of hours. I thanked Carmen for doing this and she then proceeded to ask me why I needed these so quickly. I let Carmen know that I was in town for a final interview. She told me that several other people found themselves in a bind like I was, but that they all ended up getting hired. She told me that she thought that she must be their good luck charm and said that she hoped she could be that for me. This is the only dry cleaners in Reno, NV that I will use. She could have been the fifth person to tell me no that day, but she went out of her way to take care of my request and leave me smiling and hopeful for my interview.
