THEY CHARGE AN EXTRA 50 CENT FOR HOT WATER ONTOP OF 10 DOLLAR LOADS. Please save your time. I've been to several laundry mats and none are like this one. Yes they have an attendant, but it's not an excuse for overcharging or for not disclosing an additional charge for hot water. Maybe there are other laundry mats charging for hot water? I have never been to one tho, and never seen a washer cost more than 7 dollars. At least put a sign up to warn people before they put money into a machine only to have to pay more... additionally, new machines or large machines or whatever, 10 dollars a load is too much for laundry. Save your time and money, go down the street to the other laundry mat. read more

So... We are going on vacation tomorrow and my wife has to work late. We did not have time to do all the laundry so I thought, bring it to laundromat so we can do it all in one time. First time it's been absolutely years since I've been to a laundromat. The price starts at $4.00 Forsmann mode. They have a larger high capacity washer still, but I was able to sit in just a couple. They have coin machines, prepaid cards and an ATM. The lady gave me a coin bag to put all of my coins in. She was quite helpful. My first mistake was not putting a laundry pod in after starting the machine. I couldn't open the machine, so I asked the lady if there was anything I could do. She said she wasn't supposed to, but she did help me out. Reset the machine so I can get laundry detergent in there. That was very nice. The price if you want hot wash goes up $.50. So the white load was $4.50. They have a snack bar here and some alcohol. Kind of nice to have a beer while you're doing laundry for your wife. That way you could blame it on the alcohol in case you make a mistake lol. Place was very clean. Not crowded. Plenty of baskets to use. read more

I recently stopped by this laundromat to wash a few loads of laundry. As compared to my favorite laundromat in Sacramento, this one was more expensive, and had less machine options, but got my clothes about as clean. The ambiance was not really comparable-- we're not allowed to have bars and casinos inside the laundry rooms in California! I think I might have been the only one not drinking. It cost about $11 to wash the same amount I normally wash for about $9 in Sacramento. The staff seemed very friendly and hard working. Both of the ladies were working both the bar and laundry area. There were a few locals who seemed to be loyal, regular customers. The washers and dryers don't accept cards, but there is a change machine to make quarters. There is also a 'soap station' that sells highly priced detergent and dryer sheets. It's definitely cheaper to bring your own, though. Overall this was a pretty cool place to wash laundry. I would probably come back here again next time I'm in the area. read more

I needed to wash some large bedding items and after my less than stellar experience at another local laundromat in town, I thought I would give Duds a try and I happy that I did. The place is clean and welcoming. There is a bar with slot machines, video games, TVs, bathrooms, and plenty of places to sit while you wait for your laundry. The washing machines are divided up in sections based on load capacities. For example section 40 is for "big" loads and will cost $6.75. Section 80 is the "biggest" and will cost $10.50. I felt safe while here and the staff were friendly and helpful- This will be my go-to laundromat in the future. read more

Used laundromat for washing a comforter too big to wash in my own home. They are very nice there and have excellent customer service. The place is clean, comfortable and well lit. There's snacks and a bar area to grab a beer while you wait. I was pleased to see a 25% discount for military, veterans and even first responders. If that isn't awesome, I don't know what is! Accosting people about policies they have poorly posted is bad biz practice. Came with two comforters, left with one of the women saying she was going to murder people and filming my car as I left. Claiming people steal quarters when you pay for them is one of the most insane things I've ever heard. Complaining about neighboring apartment complexes when all I wanted to do was wash my oversized comforters and kill time. Won't go back on principle alone. I've been getting my sheets laundered here since my arrival in 2012. I've used both locations and was sorry to see the North Valleys close, as it was nearest to my current home. I have always been happy with all their services and the helpfulness of staff. My sheets are always ready when they promise and well packaged. Most of the time they are very helpful to this disabled customer, today was an exception, but they were quite busy. I liked it better when fluff and fold services were a dollar a pound but at $1.75/lb it is still well worth it to me. read more

I was just visiting with my girls. We need to do a load of laundry. We're from the Cali Bay Area. Come to this place. Wish we had places like this in Marin. It was fun doing laundry. How many times can you say that. They have games for your kids to play. They serve food. Amazing nachos and the twisted tea was supper yummy!! Clothes came out looking worse than when they went in. The machines barely had any water in them, to the point where lots of the Gain Boost pellets I put in didn't dissolve. Just regular clothes, no comforters or anything weird that would throw off the machines. And yes, I know how front loaders work. This wasn't user error. Ok, let's get one thing straight... Laundry is a pain in the butt! I live in an apartment, and have 1 washing machine and 1 dryer (communal). It's just a pain to do laundry there, no change machines, not fun. But then, you come across a place like Duds n' Suds. Where laundry, can be fun! I mean, they have a bar, and slot machines. Tuesday's are all day happy hour, so 2- Rolling Rocks for the price of 1. Yes please. I always end up spending way too much money when I go here to do my laundry, because I always drink, and then gamble. HA! I have to say, this place is always clean, and I never have a hard time finding machines to use. There are plenty. They have 2 change machines, and a soap/dryer sheet machine. The staff is super friendly, and it's fun to sit at the bar and chat with people. They also serve food, nachos, and hot dogs. Doing laundry can be fun people! read more

Used this spot to get some laundry done with my lady a while back we brought the kids with us so cause no babysitter and we had to make sure they got homework done . The gentleman who was working was the bar was very attentive to our needs asking us if we wanted drinks or bar food before he closed down the bar. (They have a no outside food allowed policy) why? Idk. But not a problem because conveniently their are a couple fast food joints (Carl's jr. KFC. Del taco) walking distance of the laundromat. They've got plenty of large washers and dryers for your big loads. Which makes it more time convenient. You can even drop off your laundry to get it done. And if you need an extra space for your laundry but don't have the basket space. They do sell plastic bags for some change and your convenience. Just make sure to ask the clerk. More of a hillbilly vibe. If you really need to drink and want a snack while you wait along with unprofessional employees that are loud asf this is your place. There is music on but you can hear their unprofessional conversations across the laundromat and is much louder than the music itself. Came in once it was manageable, came in second time and their whole demeanor changed. I'm queen of playing dumb but saw right through their bs. Only came back due to it being close to me while commuting. Worth driving to another laundromat to avoid a place like this. I like to do my laundry out at a laundromat. It seems to keep me focused on the task, so that I get it done faster, and it's nice to socialize and get away from home for a bit. I originally visited Duds N Suds on the premise that it was "fun" to do laundry. The good side is that the place is clean and organized, and maintained by a live staff person who is available to help with any issues that come up. A majority of the machines are also new or newer, giving a great variety of options to clean your clothes with. There is also a bar with limited alcohol options (beer, wine, etc) and snacks. There's also a TV on the wall that plays a selected channel the entire time the laundromat is open. Bathrooms are clean and well-maintained and the floor plan is comfortable. The other side is that there isn't really anything "fun" about this, let alone different, besides the appearance of available amenities. I have no interest in drinking while I do laundry, and people generally keep to themselves, so the experience for me is no different than any other laundromat, except for the fact that it's cleaner than most and there is an attendant available for any issues. Overall, if I have to choose a place to do laundry, I would gladly choose this place. However, don't kid yourselves - it's nothing more than a cleaner version of any other laundromat, and for that, the place gets three stars. read more

Arcade games? Solid music on the radio? A fun and festive atmosphere? A bar? Where the heck am I? From that description I could be anywhere! But if I told you the sweet smell of freshly dried sheets filled the air, you'd probably be confused, but then might guess I was at a laundromat. And, well, you'd be right! Duds n' Suds to be specific, and I've gotta say, it was really a pleasure to visit, and FAR from what I expected! After a few large events, I had some serious linen to launder, so I searched Yelp for "laundry by the pound" and found Duds n' Suds, which had a seriously high 5 star rating. So I went in with my massive mounds of linen, and was pleasantly greeted by a sweet woman who walked me through the process. After weighing them (56lbs to be exact), she let me know they would cost $2 per pound to launder. Having seen $1/lb advertised on their website, I expressed some confusion, and in a very professional and friendly tone, she explained why they cost a little more. That customer touch explained away any sticker shock, and I left my linens to be laundered. I returned a few days later to be greeted by the same woman, and she handed me my linens back, neatly folded and shrink wrapped, ready for the next event! While this service may be a bit costly, it's certainly worth it when you know your stuff is being looked after by great people, who treat it like their own. I'll certainly be back the next time I'm in need of this service, and if you have larger items like comforters and blankets, I highly recommend letting their heavy duty machines take care of this stuff for you! read more

My husband and I have used this laundromat since moving to Reno in November. We like the location, it's generally clean and not overcrowded. However, when the workers are allowed to bring their small children to work, and refuse to parent them, allowing them to run all over, beat on the vending machines, throw balls - very nearly hitting both my husband and myself, scream and throw temper tantrums, and lock themselves in the bathrooms - well, it's a bit much to handle. Not to mention that one of the boys could not keep his hands out of his pants for half of the time we were there, it's disgusting.
