I dropped off two sweaters with her, she input my phone number in her computer, and then she handed me a printout with my order number. I can't speak to their drycleaning services, but their alteration services are outrageously over-priced. I took a skirt in to be hemmed; they don't give estimates, but when I went to pick it up, they wanted $40!!! The skirt only cost $30 new. Hemming is one of the easiest alterations for perform. I've used Canyon Cleaners twice so far and they are EXCELLENT! They have a few day turn around and their prices are very reasonable. They send a text when it's ready and you just swing by and pick up. They are also incredible stain lifting masters. My husband had some tan pants that were pretty stained, so we brought in and they somehow got them looking almost new! I wish I'd taken a before and after pic because they looked amazing, but you'll just have to take my word for it! They also got the stench of smoke out of one of my dresses! I found Canyon Cleaners after my regular, for years cleaners closed. I've found them to be really terrific, not only for cleaning clothes but making repairs to clothing and zippers. With cleaning, mine is always done before they say it will be. They repaired a rip in a favorite pair of jeans with hardly a seam noticeable. Don't use this cleaner. They lost my husbands nice works shirts shirts and claimed they never had them. They found the suites they claimed they didn't have at first but never found the shirts. This is easily the best--and cheapest--cleaner in Northwest Reno. The customer service is great--they are always friendly and accomodating. I often need stuff turned around quickly, as in next day, and they have always accomodated me, no matter how big the order I have is. And things are always done right, with any stains removed and the items neatly pressed. On several occasions they have repaired a missing button without even charging me. Excellent. Super friendly staff too. The prices here are much lower than the other two big cleaners in this neck of the woods (the independent shop in the Safeway Plaza, which charges extra for next day service and Bobby Page, which doesn't do that (or at least hasn't in the past) because they send stuff away rather than handling the cleaning on site). Also, I've never had items damages or gotten something back with a "this stain can't be removed" tag, frequent events when I used Bobby Page. read more

The first time I had my dry cleaning done here a couple of years ago, they ruined a pair of khaki slacks by accident. The manager said they accidentally got some bleach on my pants. They reimbursed me in full for a new pair. I gave them another chance, and they were OK for many years. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, and the incident happened again. Except this time, they will not reimburse me for the damage, and claim they do not use any bleach in their dry cleaning (contrary to what they said happened..the first time). They claim the issue is with a defect in the pants, even though...I had already brought these same pants there before for dry cleaning, and they came out fine. I'll be going elsewhere. - For long sleeve dress shirts, they only button the top button before putting it in the plastic bag. This causes creases to form on the shirt when it sits in your closet in the bag, so you have to iron it again. Other dry cleaners don't do this. - Other dry cleaners have automated text messages that let you know when you dry cleaning is ready for pick up. Other dry cleaners also have a website/app where you can see your order, pay online, see status, set your preferences for your laundry, etc. Canyon doesn't have any of that. - Their equipment breaks down often. There were many instances where I had to come back to get my dry cleaning done because their equipment was broken, or they couldn't accept cards for payment, etc. read more

Took two shirts to be dry cleaned. Both came back two inches shorter than when I dropped them off. I have three of the exact same shirts different colors that all fit the same. Now two are small enough to fit my teenage daughter. So you might want to think about taking them across the streets unless of course you plan on shrinking a couple of inches. I have been using this place for my alterations so I didn't think twice about having them alter a scarf I bought. It was an "infinity" scarf and I just wanted it cut and hemmed. I paid $10 for the scarf. I go to pick it up and they charged me $20. Really? They don't even charge that for hemming a pair of jeans, which has to be much more labor intensive. This company is the biggest little secret in northwest Reno. I work in south Reno and all of the dry cleaners I can find in that area charge about $4-$6 per shirt. The turn around time to get my clothes back is around 4 days. Canyon charges about $2 per shirt and they get it done in 2 days, or the next day if I request it. It's the best price and service I have found anywhere in Reno by far. My shirts and slacks come back looking great and they're always friendly. read more

When it got critical, I browsed Yelp for a suggestion in my area and read the good reviews for Canyon Cleaners. I'm happy to enthusiastically co-sign the other 5-star reviews. When I dropped off 16 dresses for dry cleaning on Saturday, I was told I could have them as early as Monday! I was also told that they charge $10-15 dollars for dresses depending on how complicated they are (pleats, beading, etc). I didn't need anything turned around super fast, so when I came to pick them up a few days later, my bill came to a very reasonable $160 even though I did have some pleated dresses. All my dresses look great! Definitely recommend this place and I will be going back for all of my dry cleaning needs! read more
