I was very specific from the beginning that I needed the wiring removed from the cups of the dress. I also requested the slit be moved up and the bottom hem shortened. When I arrived to pick up the dress, only the hem had been done properly. I was then told the remaining fixes would "take 10 minutes." Thirty minutes later, they had only adjusted the slit and the wiring was STILL in the dress. At that point, I had already repeated the same request multiple times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I calmly explained AGAIN that the wire needed to be removed, the woman working began talking over me and arguing with me instead of listening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am now sitting here waiting even longer for alterations that should have been completed correctly the first time after they had my dress for two full weeks. For the amount of money charged, especially with a rush fee, the communication, attention to detail, and customer service have been incredibly frustrating. I was really bummed out when I discovered that my Brandini Italian leather jacket had a small cut in the front. I was sure it was ruined! I spoke with Angel about if they could repair it. He said there were a few options, I did not like any of them. Then he thought for a minute more and came up with a brilliant tailor's idea. There was another customer who was in tears asking where the owner was because he was supposed to meet with her that day by apt to discuss an alteration that went wrong that was apparently very pricey. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The employee first said the owner would be in later and they weren't aware of this apt.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then when the customer requested he be called because shed "been dealing with this for months and he promised to meet her", the employee called the owner and came back to say he had a medical emergency and couldn't come.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The customer said last time he said he was "out of the country" and owed her either $180 or a fixed product. The lady was nearly in tears. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend their services. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had a very disappointing experience with A&C Tailoring (Alterations/Dry Cleaners).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I paid $240 for "urgent service," and they had over 8 days to complete alterations on a prom dress--but they still failed to deliver a wearable result. If they couldn't commit to or follow through with what was requested, they should not have taken the dress in the first place. I would have gone somewhere else that was capable of completing the work without ruining the dress or impacting such an important milestone event. The dress was delivered Friday afternoon, with prom scheduled for Saturday evening, leaving almost no time to address the issues. The quality of the work was unacceptable. The embroidery was left hanging loose, the sleeves we specifically asked to be removed were cut but not properly finished (leaving the fabric exposed), and no straps were added--making the dress impossible to wear. The entire garment was poorly handled and ultimately ruined. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I contacted the shop immediately after pickup and even sent a video showing the issues, but received no response.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I did not hear from them at all until I reached out myself the following Monday at 11:45 AM--after the date the dress was needed had already passed. Although they later offered to fix the dress or provide a partial refund, neither option was acceptable. The event had already passed, making repairs pointless, and a partial refund does not reflect the extent of the damage--especially considering they had more than 8 days to complete the tailoring properly in the first place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have been trying to be amicable in reaching a resolution, but communication has been evasive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was told the owner--who is the only person able to authorize refunds--is out of the country due to an emergency, and therefore no full resolution could be provided.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I gave them 48 hours to contact me to resolve the issue, but their response was simply that they "did what was asked" and would only offer a partial refund. I have no professional experience in embroidery or alterations, yet I was forced to make last-minute fixes myself, incurring additional costs and further compromising the dress for any future use. The dress itself cost $364, and due to their lack of professionalism and poor craftsmanship, it is no longer wearable. Been to the Moana location twice, once to get a pleated dress shortened and taken in (major alteration) and another time to get some trousers hemmed (minor work). What's great: intake customer service was excellent. Courteous and friendly staff. What's okay: they were working with a 30-day turnaround when I took my pants in. Seems pretty long for a minor job. However, when I got my dress done, I was able to pay an expedited fee to get it back within a week. What can be improved: When I went to pick up my dress at the time that was quoted, it was not back from the dry cleaner. I fortunately added in buffer time for this type of situation, but it's not great if you need your items done on time. Also, I never got a notification that my pants were done, and when I called to check, they couldn't find my order. Everything got sorted out eventually, but there seems to be some internal communication issues among the staff that can be improved. Overall, if you don't mind waiting a while for your items and can tolerate some minor mishaps, this is a decent local business to support. read more

My custom dress take-in for the straps and bust was not complete in the time they stated and when I went (a second time!) to pick it up after giving them more than 2 weeks, it was STILL not ready. This guy butchered my suit, I had to get it totally redone because it was completely uneven on the shoulders, the back and the sleeves. This guy is a total hack, is not a tailor, misadvised me on what to do so he could get more money for doing more stuff that literally f-ed up my suit. He also made me wait months and months after saying it would take weeks, all to get my suit back, charging me for hundreds of dollars in the process, to get a completely f-ed up suit that looks like garbage and I cant wear. His dad who passed away was a real tailor, this guy has no idea what he is doing and will look at you in the face and lie to make a few more bucks and then still f up whatever you bring him. If you need a warning to avoid a total hack of a service(thats what yelp is for) here it is, I hope no one makes the same mistake I made by going here thinking Im going to a tailor who is is even half competent. read more

Only took about 2 1/2 weeks for the turnaround time the whole process to get my dress fitted to how I wanted it only took maybe 10 minutes. I could not say anything but great things. Worst experience ever!! I recommend going elsewhere for tailoring. I went in several weeks ago for my bathing suit that had a tear along detailed stitching. I was told it would take a little bit longer as they needed to get a special machine to fix it. He offered me the option to sow the suit up completely and I told him I absolutely did not want my bathing suit sewn closed (as it would lose the special stitching) and if he was unable to fix it then just leave it alone and I would find someone else who was more capable. Three weeks went by, never did I receive a call from them, when I called to check in on my bathing suit, I was told they were out of town twice and then received a text msg saying something about a dress. Today, I stopped by to see if it was ready, a shirtless man (who I am assuming is Angel) was working. When I told him I was very specific about not wanting my bathing suit sewn closed, he stated he didn't do that type of work, he was very rude, did not take responsibility or offer a solution. I had an unfortunate experience with this tailoring company despite the good reviews; perhaps it was a one-off and they were having a bad week. I came to A & C to get the elastic redone on my jacket sleeves and hem some nice dress pants. I am giving three stars instead of two because they did do a good job on the clothes with good craftsmanship. I recommend calling first about their lead time because they told me three weeks until my clothes would be ready. They also charged me when I dropped off the clothes and in my experience with other shops, I would pay upon picking up the items, but that's just personal experience. The difficulty came in getting my pants hemmed. On the day I was told they would be ready (three weeks later) I had driven up to Reno from Incline Village, but at noon I received a message saying the clothes were delayed and wouldn't be ready until the next day. I would have appreciated more of a heads up as I had already driven all the way to Reno from Incline. Later in the week I came back to pick up the clothes but was running late and they were kind enough to keep the store open for me a few minutes after closing. The jacket was great but sadly the pants they were hemmed too short even though we had taken measurements. Given that I lived over the hill and work during normal business hours (they have tight business hours) I couldn't pick the pants up until the following week so it took almost 5 weeks for me to receive my pants. This place has good reviews so I'd like to hope my experience isn't common, but I did not have an experience like most people who left reviews for A & C. read more

Christian has been wonderful. My friend needed to get his suit altered on a time crunch and we were recommended by a Macy's employee. The pants needed to be hemmed and the jacket needed to be taken in. I had given a call to Christian, and he immediately responded with all the answers that I had asked. We took the suit and were told by him that we can pick up the altered suit the next day!! If you've ever gotten a dress or a suit at macys, they take 4-5 business day and if you ask them to expedite, then the charges tend to go up as well. So, the fact that Christian was able to do the alterations in a day without any extra charges and the alterations were done great, they were done with precision and also very neat. I would definitely recommend Christian and Angel for alterations over macys or bobby pages any day, because they provide great service and excellent prices! read more

I'm an airline pilot and I ripped my uniform pants in the airplane on the first leg of a 4 day trip. My overnight was in Reno on the first night.
