I needed the sleeves on the jacket shortened and the trouser length adjusted as well. I tried them on and Amin checked the length of both, placing one safety pin on one sleeve and one safety pin in the back hem of one pant leg. This was on Friday. My clothes were to be ready on Tuesday (they're closed on Mondays). I then left to purchase a pair of professional shoes to wear to this upcoming interview. When I got home I realized the heels on the shoes I used to try the pants on at the tailor were one inch higher than the shoes I purchased for the interview. Upon realizing this, I called Amin immediately and requested the pants be shortened one inch. He advised the pants had already been altered, but I should come in on Tuesday (as previously scheduled) and he would assess with the new shoes. He knew my interview was on Thursday, but said he would alter them on the spot while I waitedd if they needed changing. I asked if there would be an additional charge, and he said "no". When I arrived the next Tuesday and tried on the clothes with the new shoes, I found he had already shortened the pants to perfection! Moda Italia gives a 10% discount for seniors and another 10% discount for paying in cash. I do not trust easily and 95% of businesses today deserve this "no trust" reputation. HOWEVER, Moda Italia Tuxedo and Tailoring is not only professional but efficient and reasonably priced for the extraordinary work they provide. I guarantee and wholeheartedly endorse this company if you are anywhere near the Sparks region of Nevada. AND, they are easily accessible to major freeways (not inside a mall)! I live in Fernley, so this is not "just next door", but I definitely will use Moda Italia for all my tailoring needs.

I was very specific from the beginning that I needed the wiring removed from the cups of the dress. I also requested the slit be moved up and the bottom hem shortened. When I arrived to pick up the dress, only the hem had been done properly. I was then told the remaining fixes would "take 10 minutes." Thirty minutes later, they had only adjusted the slit and the wiring was STILL in the dress. At that point, I had already repeated the same request multiple times. When I calmly explained AGAIN that the wire needed to be removed, the woman working began talking over me and arguing with me instead of listening. I am now sitting here waiting even longer for alterations that should have been completed correctly the first time after they had my dress for two full weeks. For the amount of money charged, especially with a rush fee, the communication, attention to detail, and customer service have been incredibly frustrating. Unfortunately, our recent experience was extremely disappointing & honestly shocking. I brought in a brand-new dress months ago for cleaning. When I recently took it out of the plastic wrapping to wear for the first time, I discovered a large stain that was not there before. I had never worn the dress prior to that moment. When I first called, there was no answer. Carmen later called me back, but after listening to my concern for less than a minute, she interrupted to say she was not working that day, that she was busy, & that she would call me back later. That call never came. On April 20, 2026 at approximately 11:55 AM, my husband & I called her back & had her on a three-way call. As my husband calmly tried to ask why she never followed up or addressed the issue, she immediately became defensive. Without attempting to resolve anything, she abruptly decided that she would no longer accept us as customers after all these years of our loyalty to her business. What makes this even more disappointing is that this isn't the first concerning interaction. On a recent visit, she told my husband that many of his suits were "too old" & that she would no longer clean or press them. We respected her concerns & handled that conversation calmly & maturely. My husband even agreed to replace older suits & continue bringing in newer items. However, when we raised a valid concern about a stain on a brand-new dress, an item that had been left in her possession for months & only returned when the last time my husband & I picked up his clothes she informed him to take it home, we were met with defensiveness & dismissal instead of professionalism. A good business is built on accountability, communication, & respect for its customers. Long-term, loyal clients should not be dismissed out of frustration or sensitivity when raising a legitimate concern. Instead of resolving the issue, the owner chose to react emotionally, refuse responsibility, & end a 25+ year customer relationship. It is also worth noting that services are priced at a premium, yet customers are often pushed toward full dry cleaning rather than simple pressing, increasing the cost significantly. In this case, we paid a high price for a service that resulted in damage & no accountability. As an observation, over the many years we have been customers, there have been no noticeable upgrades to equipment or delivery vehicles. We were also informed that another location had closed. Customers can draw their own conclusions from that regarding how the business has been managed over time. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this cleaners.
