I decided to try this business based on the positive Yelp reviews. While it's important to me to support small businesses, I was also tired of the long wait times at the more well-known alteration shops. As others had mentioned, Teresa was easy to reach by text and very friendly. Her pricing was also reasonable ($15 for shortening pants, for reference). The turnaround time for taking in a pair of pants and taking in the sleeves of a dress was only 1 week. The location on Bible Way was a bit hard to find at first. Note that she is now in suite 40, not 22. Also, don't expect a fancy store front or anything of that sort. It's a small and barebones operation, but there's ample room for getting fitted and trying on your garments after the alterations. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was a minor mix up when I went to pick up my items. I showed up at the time she noted on my receipt but she was not there. However, we texted to arrange a different pick up time and that went smoothly. I'd suggest texting to confirm before heading down for pick up since she's not always at the shop. Overall, though, the quality is good for the price, and I'd happily use Salas Alterations again in the future. read more

Salas Alterations has moved to another location not too far where it was. 1000 Bible Way Suite 22. It's maybe a quarter mile from the old location. The new shop is located inside the courtyard of the building. I've been using Salas Alterations for years. She's always done a great job at a reasonable price. Quick turnaround time also. I've had numerous pants hemmed and even a leather jacket. You can't even tell it's been altered/ hemmed. I'm glad she didn't close up business as it's hard to find a good seamstress. read more

On my quest to find a seamstress I stumbled upon Salas Alterations. My handy dandy instincts were most definitely in my favor. I was in search for a last minute repair for a dress to attend a holiday party the upcoming week and not many cleaners and tailor shops were available over the weekend. After a few mins of research I just called and luckily got an answer. I was able to come in a few ours later for fitting and review and was able to secure Teresa to fix my dress. Being from LA seamstress are available on weekends so I was a bit defeated when I didn't have many options to choose from, but Teresa was available and I know it was God sent. Teresa fixed my dress in 24 hours. She repaired a minor hole and revamped the stitching in the bust area of my dress. I was so pleased with the outcome and the dress looked almost new when I wore it the next day to my event. I'm so happy I found Teresa her work is good, fast, affordable and she's so sweet. Highly recommend Teresa! She has been wonderful to work with and has a quick turnaround! Found this hidden gem after a local bridal shop recommended us to her. She has was able to alter two dresses for me. One was too big and needed straps and the second was a two piece.
