TLDR: Bad quality, way over what was quoted I wish I would've listened to the bad reviews. I dropped my wedding dress off 7/22 and picked it up 10/9, my wedding date is 10/18. I dropped off a wearable dress that needed to be shortened, taken in at the top, a belt added, straps removed, and a couple little things like cups added. The cups she added were not in the right spot and SUPER cheesy and the top is still too big and now sagging which she keeps claiming on the fabric being old (it's a brand new dress). I had 2 fittings and it is still so far off from fitting and I have about a week to figure out what to do. My dress is now also dirty which doesn't matter because I can't wear it! I requested a refund after I got home and was able to look at the back. The seams are uneven, she did one very visible seam on the back right and not the back left. I could've done this myself and saved myself $475. I hope she never touches a wedding dress again. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Saji completely destroyed my wedding dress -- the one thing that should have been perfect. The stitching was sloppy, the fit was uneven, and it looked nothing like what I asked for. When I confronted her, she refused to take responsibility, blamed the fabric, and only admitted she didn't know what she was doing after the dress was ruined. I never post reviews but I've given Saji the opportunity to make things right and she hasn't. Hoping that you don't end up like me and ignore the few other negative reviews posted. Believe them! Go elsewhere! TL/DR: numerous delays/unreliable, poor quality work, upcharges & dishonest. Full story: When my wedding dress arrived with the embroidery pulling loose and pearls falling off, they recommend SNA Alterations to repair the issues. I brought the dress to her on 4/10/25 and asked directly if it was able to be fixed or if I should just return the dress to the company and find a new one. She assured me at that visit that it was completely fixable and that it wouldn't be a problem to hem the dress, add a bustle, and line the dress since it was so sheer while removing some of the excess tulle, and to put something near the top of the dress to provide a buffer between my arms and the beading. Before I went to her I was sure I should send the dress back but Saji assured me that it was all able to be done and it wouldn't be a problem as she had be trained to make dresses. She quoted me $300-400 verbally during the initial visit and I agreed to the cost explaining that the dress company was going to cover the repairs portion of the dress. The next morning, she called to tell that the cost would be more now that she was able to review the pictures of all the spots where the beading was falling off, the quote was $1200 because she would have to do it by hand. I agreed again because the repair portion was to be reimbursed by the dress company and reiterated that the dress company said to reach out ASAP if she needed replacement fabric or beads for any of it. At that time I asked for the dress back in July so I would have enough time to find something else for my wedding if it didn't work out. At the end of June, I reached out asking when would be a good day to pick the dress up and she told me it wasn't ready yet and then asked if I could come for a second fitting in July. When I gave her a date she relayed that she actually needed to find alternative fabric to line it with because she had used the fabric she'd previously showed me back in April for another person. I went in for a second fitting in July where all she had done was cut out the excess tulle; I was able to pick out a fabric and asked that she complete the dress by Aug. 1st and she said she'd do her best but then July 20th she asked if she could have until September 12th (one week before my wedding!). I reiterated that I needed the dress by August 1st. I never heard from her on the first and when I reached out the next day I didn't hear back from her until the following Monday saying she wasn't done with the dress and asked if I could come on the 15th. Finally when I arrived to pick up the dress on 8/15/25, it wasn't complete. The stitches for the lining you can see in the pictures are so unprofessional. I asked for her to show me how to bustle the dress so I could leave and she denied that we had ever spoken about it and said she'd need more time. She told me she would put one in (three small hooks) and would also finish up a few small things like taking down the tulle to the train and hiding the zipper in the lining better. I asked if I could come get it the next morning and she agreed to 11AM pick up. She asked that I pay her that night and I foolishly agreed and tipped her in the hopes that would meant that she'd work to fix the stitching and bustle and it would be better by the next day. At 10:59AM I received a text when I was just a block away telling me the dress was not ready and could she have three more days. At this point i relayed that i was very unhappy with the process and asked that she tell me how soon it would be ready and that I'd come get it. At nearly 1PM, when I went to pick it up, the only thing done was the bustle. I asked if she had fixed the stitching which she said she had but when I got home and really got the chance to look at things that's when I realized just how bad it was. The repairs weren't complete, the stitches were still awful and poorly done, the dress hem was too long, it was all bad. When I reached out via text to have her make it right it's taken until today to hear back. Her response was that I should just ask the dress company about the issues and she took no responsibility for her poor quality of the work nor that in her unprofessional delays and missed timelines that it is now two weeks away from my wedding with a dress that is not fixed. I know the dress came is questionable shape but I asked her to tell me from the beginning if it was not do-able and I'd take it up with the dress company. Look at the pictures and tell me this is normal work for a seamstress. In an effort to fix the dress myself, I went to mill end fabric to get replacements for a portion of the lining she had installed and found out that the fabric she used was only $3 a yard and she used 2-3 yards max. I gave her the information about the cleaner I went to and requested she pay half of the cleaning ticket, which seemed very reasonable. She refused. My maid of honor dress is ruined! My appointment was totally rushed because she forgot she had somewhere to be. My dress was balled up in the bottom of the hanging bag I gave her with the hanger no where in sight. As I was looking to make sure it fit she came behind me and unzipped it and told me we were done. As I was changing out of the dress she knocked on the door to ask if I was done yet. She did offer to give me a refund. I gave her $120 and she refunded me $100. When I asked where the rest of the money was she said that in the rush to get where she was going she didn't count how much I gave her and there's nothing more than can be done now. I am so disappointed and seriously considering rush ordering a new dress. There were several things wrong with my dress. 1. One side of the dress is at least 2 inches shorter than the other. It's supposed to be a floor length dress and on that side you can see half my shoe. I've included a picture that shows the discrepancy between the sides. 2. The inner layer is about 5 inches shorter than the outer layer of the dress. Now I understand it needs to be a little shorter, but not to the point that you can now see light coming through the bottom of the dress. That is definitely not how it was before it was altered. Pictured as well. 3. To take in the dress two completely new seems we're created and the extra material was sloppily tacked inside of the dress. To make matters even worse, these seems aren't even the same width!!!! I've included a picture to show how drastically different the size of my now very noticeable new seems are. She offered to fix these things but 1. Why would I trust her with my dress again when she messed it up so badly the first time and 2. You can't add material back onto the dress once you've cut it! And it she takes the seems out of the back it would no longer fit and there would be holes in the fabric from where she stitched it. When I complained she said that I must have just never had a dress altered before. As if I was the problem. She seemed very nice at first and I'm not sure if she is just too busy or what but I wouldn't not recommend trusting her with anything of importance. read more

I selected SNA Alterations for my wedding dress alterations based on Yelp reviews and how quickly I received a response. She was able to get me in quickly and had my dress ready right on schedule. My dress needed very little--the bottom hem was unfinished, so I wanted it done. I did not even need it adjusted for height, just tucked under. I also wanted a sash. During the initial meeting, I showed her the material I'd like to use for the sash. She had a similar ribbon that she pinned on to get an idea of length and width. Then she suggested using the ribbon instead of the material, but I preferred the material. We agreed that the ribbon would be the template with the material sewed over it. I was disappointed when I came to get my dress. While the bottom hem was fine, the ribbon was now tacked on with a few stitches and about an inch smaller than I needed. The material I wanted was still in the bag I brought it in. When I asked about the tightness of the ribbon, she said it was just me. I was a bit shocked and did not speak up anymore. I took my dress and the material and went home. Ultimately, my sister and I sewed a sash with the original material I wanted which in some ways made it more special. I should have been more clear about my expectation both when leaving the dress and picking it up. Saji was easy to reach, pleasant, and timely, but I just didn't get what I excepted. read more

I went to her for help with my two wedding looks (photos included), and they turned out wonderfully! After working with Anomalie to design a custom dress, they recommended working with Saji for alterations. I brought three pairs of jeans to be fitted in the waist and length and my expectations were definitely exceeded. It only took her a few moments to measure my size and just one week for all three items to be finished, super fast! Not to mention I was able to set up my appointment immediately and she is extremely flexible. I wish I could give Saji more stars. In June, I received my wedding dress late from the salon I chose in Sacramento. It came in.....just not right. We took it to Saji and she said it doesn't even seem like the correct dress (there were all sorts of things different but it was still the "same" dress...salon was no help either). It was going to cost $600+ to get it made into the dress that I had purchased originally, and I didn't want a dress I no longer loved. So we made the ultimate decision to go for a new dress 6 weeks before my big day. That following weekend I went to Swoon, and after some debate, found my dream dress!! A stunning Watters (Aella) sample gown that was everything I had dreamed of. The only thing I didn't like was that there was lace cap sleeves and a full lace back. It seemed to overwhelm me, and for an August wedding, I wanted strapless. Saji made it happen! And even better than I could have imagined. She got it done within the 6 weeks before the wedding and it looked as if my dress was made that way. She ensured that the fit was correct on top, in addition to trimming the eyelash lace just right, so it looked seamless all the way around. She also added a bustle along with some lift for my corset! On top of it all, she hand-stitched my sash on and took it all (veil included) to be steamed so it was perfect for the big day. All of it for an incredible price. The attached photos show just how perfect my dress turned out. The front of my dress truly looks like it came directly from the designer like that, and Saji made that happen! She made my dress seamless on the front side and even on the backside. She is so sweet and her family is so welcoming when you are there! Definitely choose Saji for your special day!
