I hired Preventative Pest Control (East Houston location)because they had the lowest pricing. The sales man made an extraordinary pitch and that is another reason why I decided to go with them. I was promised a lot at the time of the signing of the contract, however communication was terrible, they lied about the services that they provide, and none of the workers really knew what they were supposed to be doing due to terrible communication, except Rico. I was even told they would complete a clean up job, however I was left to clean the rat feces. Once my house was sealed in areas with the mesh, some mesh was left all over my yard in places and I had to make sure everything was cleaned up because I did not want the Shadowcreek HOA to come after me. Im really disappointed because I planned to hire them for my other house and other work but after my 1 year free warranty (which I hope is actually true) I plan to discontinue their service. :( DO NOT HIRE THEM read more

We've been using Preventive Pest for over 2 years now and love them! The staff is very friendly and we always get a reminder call before they come out to service our house. Technicians are all very nice and knowledgeable. Once I decided to walk around with our technician as he did the treatment to see what all they did, and the technician answered all my questions and described what he was doing and why it was beneficial. Last summer, we found a few ticks on our dog and called Preventive Pest right away to see if they could come out and spray our backyard. We weren't due for another service yet, but they came out right away to spray; and didn't charge anything (haven't seen a tick since). That's what I especially love about them. We were in the market for pest control of our new house and figured we would give these guys a shot since they were in the neighborhood. Well that was a mistake. We were assured by the salesman that after 2-3 treatments we would not have any problems with spiders and ants. And now after 5 treatments we still have insects both inside and out. Called them to cancel the service and now have to pay the cancellation fee, over $140 bucks! Asked about the free cancelation and of course that was out of the question. At $80 for a 10 minute treatment it seems that whatever they are spraying with would but effective. We should have done our homework on this outfit before signing the contract. I've suddenly had a rat infestation and called you because you are my pest control for my house and yard. The rats have gnawed through so many of my pipes and I've spent close to $4000 trying to get rid of them. The last person who was here baited the traps with a dog treat with bacon. When I got up this morning there was a big sick rat in my hallway. I got him out of the house with a broom, then killed him with a shovel. I hope he was a bachelor!! I'm 85 years old.
