Rick met and exceeded our standards for the screens he installed. We put in one exterior screen and a large interior screen very visibly in our home. The interior screen looks very natural/native to the home design I can't say the work was inexpensive but it was very much worth the cost. I fully recommend PRS. For fun ask Rick about knowing the 50 states... read more

We are repeat customers for Premier Retractable Screens. I was happy with the screens for two doors done 3+ years ago and contacted Premier Retractable Screens again this year for additional doors when we remodeled. Rick is meticulous and worked with our contractor to assure the new door trims would fit with the new screens. Rick installed screens for two single doors and screens that pull together for an outward-opening double-door. We are very pleased with the results. I highly recommend Premier Retractable Screens. read more

They put a high quality retractable screen door on our front door, 2 invisible screen doors where our good views are, and 1 screen door in the kitchen. They are well made products, and they gave me information about how to keep them clean. Rick is an excellent installer and efficient. There was very little wait for them to arrive for the last 2, so I would suggest ordering in the winter months if you want them quickly. We had to wait longer for the first 2 because they were ordered in the summer. We had to wait awhile to get an estimate for a retractable awning, and their bid was higher than 2 other companies, so am not using them for that product, but I highly recommend them for screen doors. read more

Reliable, reasonably priced ...competitive with others, great service. Screen door material very sturdy...NOT made in Japan..but British Columbia. Had installed in 3 French & 1 front doors.. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL! read more

We've had retractable screens on our French doors always but initially purchased some cheaper ones. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Lesson learned! These new retractable screens are just wonderful. They are strong, attractive, durable, match our wood frame perfectly. The Installer was superb too. We just love them! Bravo PRS. Great product. read more

I highly recommend Premier Retractable Screens. Rick was prompt and courteous. I was able to get my screen removed and repaired in a week. I've had my screen door for 6 years. read more

These screens are of very high quality, operate easily and look great. I had less expensive screens, Casper, before and they were always coming off tract, twisting and eventually falling apart. I hesitated to pay the extra for these but they are totally worth it both in looks and functionality. Rick the installer was very professional and did a great job aligning the screens with my doors. He was on time, efficient and very knowledgeable about these screens and how to take care of them. Over all this was a great experience! read more

We decided to put a retractable screen on a LaCantina door (several panels) and we decided to go with Premier. Rick responded quickly, prompt to the appointment time to take measurements (always a sign of a good professional company). He brought a sample setup for us to judge the quality, darkness of the screen, and mechanism. We knew exactly what we were purchasing as a result of our first meeting. Quote was immediate after the measurements. The retractable screen was about 18" and when retracted you wouldn't even know it is there. Small vertical bars on the edge of the door frame, a small upper and bottom track. Our HOA easily approved it. When you want to use it it is super easy two pull when you want a screen to open the door. Very nifty tech. Install appoint again was right on time, great care taken, and everything cleaned up without a trace. It took about 6hrs. We were concerned about how the screen might darker the room, after the install we were relieved that there was no visual difference at all. Just some very nice air flow! Rick stayed and showed us how to operate, how to do some simple maint (lube the track) and he made sure to tell us if there were any issues just give a call. Highly recommend this company if you are considering a retractable screen. Nice to do business with, does what they say they will do, professional, and they are selling good quality products. read more

Great customer service! We spoke to Rick at 7pm on a Friday night. He was honest when he said he couldn't fix our retractable screen. He told us he would call around to see who could... with in 60 minutes, he had a name and a phone number for me to call. Who does that!? He went above and beyond. We recommend him highly! read more

Rick is awesome and very responsive. I called several retractable screen vendors and asked for an initial consultation and best practices as this is my first purchase. Rick came out and offered several options and costs which is exactly what I was looking for. For example, I wanted the option of installing a screen on the inside of the house. Other vendors didn't recommend it. Rick on the other hand has a "can do" attitude and explained the differences (in product and costs) with installing on the outside of the house vs the inside. He represents several manufacturers and recommended Vista View which in his opinion was a leader in retractable screens. Vista View was recommended by other installers too so I felt comfortable with Rick's judgement. The screen looks great and he completed it in less than four hours! I also loved his comment "The job came out exactly like how I envisioned it". And it did with no issues. I have a custom sized slider and the measurements were spot on. I don't expect to have any issues but I feel comfortable that if I do, Rick wouldn't hesitate to accommodate. Thank you Rick and Premier Retractable Screens! read more

This was an easy and professional job from start to finish. From the first appointment which was made at my convenience, fitting into my difficult schedule, and which was kept perfectly on time... to a reasonable quote for 3 retractable screens... to the appointment to measure (also perfectly on time!)... to installation... I was very pleased with the process and am extremely pleased with my screens. I already have one retractable screen, these 3 seem so much more sturdy. The install was very well done and the screens look fabulous. They are easy to operate and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this company for their professionalism and excellent product! read more

Rick came to my house for an estimate on installing what I thought I wanted -- which was retractable screen doors. After he explained how they worked and the maintenance needed I quickly decided I'd do another screen door type. He showed me samples, answered all my questions, explained why one was better than the other, etc. Very professional. Rick installed the screen doors yesterday. It was pretty much an all-day project, which he had said it might be. What a fantastic job he did! I'm SO happy with the screen doors, the installation, his instruction for locking/ unlocking -- everything. Rick is very professional, knows his job, and cares about doing the best. Yes, the screen doors are pricey but totally worth the price. I would highly recommend! read more

We had a retractable screen installed at our front door. It is wonderful to be able to leave the door open on warm days. It looks beautiful and does not detract from the beauty of our home. Called looking for help with retractable screen doors. Amazingly, my phone call was answered by a real, live, and very pleasant woman (no automated call system) who promised that Rick would call within a few minutes. Indeed he did. We discussed the issues I was having and he gave me a estimate over the phone with a mutually agreeable appointment time and date. Rick was at my front door right on schedule. He inspected the screens, diagnosed the problems and suggested a far less expensive solution! He had the repairs completed promptly and the screens are working as intended. How often do you find a contractor who is prompt, knowledgeable, and efficient who also saves you money? It's very rare in my experience. Rick is also a veteran. And that should matter to everyone. I wholeheartedly recommend Rick and his company for any screen issues you have. Thank you, Rick! read more

Very competent and responsible service. Good communication about setting time and on-time arrival. Rick was clear up front on the options and their costs, and good advice on cost/benefits for the options. We got our retractable screens many years ago (at least 8, maybe much more), and have had a few repairs when guests walked into the screening and adjustments were then needed. read more

I ordered the vista view for my 72 inch door opening as I wanted just one long screen. I called Rick and another company prior to my project which also included getting new French doors (as my others were outdated and leaked in the rain). Rick came out and gave me dimensions to share with the French door installation company that would help his installation of the screen look almost custom built. When the other company came to install the doors, Rick actually spoke to the installer for me to give him detailed instructions. Well fast forward to yesterday and Rick came out and installed the retractable screen (which is on the inside of the house as my doors swing outward hence all of the customization) and it looks FANTASTIC! Rick blew me away by his integrity, honesty, and literally how he went out of his way to ensure an attractive outcome. I am blown away at how great it looks. Thank you sooo much Rick!! read more

This is the WORST experience I have ever encountered with a contractor. Sheri (the wife) bid the job to replace 3 existing retractable screens, processed my 50% deposit twice so they were paid in full. Rick (her husband-retired CHP with an attitude!) shows up, rips out 2 of my existing retractable screens destroying them beyond repair, then tells me he can't make it work but they will send me a check for a refund because its "past 30 days to credit my credit card, BS!". I am now left with NO screens! The old screens still worked but now I am left with nothing but a pile of scrap metal and screens. ZERO Stars! BEWARE! They found a way to take down my 1st post and have likely done so with other negative reviews. Highly ethical from a retired law enforcement officer don't you think?! Do NOT do business with this un-reputable company!!! I will post pic's of the destruction they caused and continue to repost if they take my posts down. Rick from Premier Retractable Screen's was amazing he arrived on time completed the job as promised and he had a reasonable price. In addition to that he did his leg work the day before by asking lots of questions about the job so that he knew what it entails and how much to quote to repair my screen that my dog went through. Rick was awesome! I had to reschedule THREE times, and Rick was courteous and polite each time, even though the last time was less than 3 hours notice. Sorry Rick! Rick came out and mended and repaired a malfunctioning front screen door and fixed the magnet on another too. Super friendly, super prompt, and he did a great job. It's 80 degrees in Carlsbad today....and now I can leave my doors open and enjoy the "January" air. :) Thanks again Rick! read more

Three years after Rick from Premiere Retractable Screens made and installed 3 new custom screens for me as described in my original review I noticed that one of the screens had been knocked off its track by my current tenants. Since this screen had been very snugly fitted during the original installation due to the uneven door opening I was unable to get the bottom of the screen lifted high enough to restore its alignment on the track. Rick had told me at the time he installed these screens in 2013 that each had a lifetime warranty so I called his number to ask his advice about how to get this fixed. I spoke with his sales manager Sheri who was very nice and she had Rick call me back at the end of that day. He briefed me on the phone as to how to remedy the situation and told me which tool I would need. A couple of weeks later I was back at the unit with the tool and I called him again. He worked with me on the phone and explained how to do adjustments to the top of the screen to get enough play on the bottom to get the errant roller back on to the track. It worked, and in the process of fixing this I discovered that one of the original adjustment screws on the bottom of this screen had somehow ended up not being stainless steel like all the others and since this location was right across the street from the ocean it had rusted into a no-longer-adjustable blob. I informed Rick about this and he arranged to come to the unit to replace that screw with one that was stainless steel. While he was there he also replaced the roller the screw was attached to because some of the rust from the screw had gotten on the roller. All of this was done at no charge to me. I am pleased to write this follow-up review three years after my original review to report that other than this screw issue which Rick promptly addressed all 3 of my custom screens from Premiere Retractable Screens are still in excellent condition and working perfectly and that Rick stands behind his products and his promises, even years later. I again highly recommend Premiere Retractable Screens if you want the best you can get. read more

We needed a retractable screen on our bedroom French doors as soon as possible. (mosquitoes) Other companies I called said it would take 3 weeks. One said 2 weeks. Rick at Premier said if he had it in stock, he could come the following day. He also was willing to install one door to cross our narrow French doors. Rick came, installed, taught me how to use the door and care for it. He was punctual and so thorough, he even vacuumed the driveway when done. His pride of workmanship and in the product he sells are rare these days. Overall, a great homeowner experience with a very professional service. read more

Rick quoted me a price for replacing a screen door and one bedroom screen that I felt was fair.
