They were very timely on measuring and providing an estimate and very timely in the manufacture and installation. The fabric and craftsmanship is of high quality. Installation was very timely and efficient and also of high quality. Bob and the staff are very friendly and customer focused. This company is great! I called during Covid wanting two different types of rolling shades for my front deck. The owner was prompt in returning my call & scheduling a consult, although she did warn me the company was crazy busy with everyone wanting home improvements. She arrived wearing her mask, was professional in every aspect. My blinds were of in stock material & they arrived & were installed within 3 weeks! With several conversations about this blind, both Lisa and bob refers to our damaged blind as an act of god, wind isn't an act of god we live on a hill and this is an external blind there is going to be wind. The bigger issue is that it was poorly installed, the brackets are too short to keep the blind in place, also we have huge cracks appearing from where they screwed the brackets into the eves of my house. This was my husbands review I have included. Four months after installation our solar blind now needs repair, and we also need repair to our roof from damage caused by this blind ! Bob (salesperson) is a nice guy, but this does not help when you need to complain or ask for a repair. Lisa (owner) is very dismissive, almost rude. She will not entertain any kind of repair for us. We paid $2,275 for our blind in November 2017, We are now expected to pay an additional $800 for repair and $1,200 to repair our roof, within 4 months of installation ! So our total cost for a single solar blind is now $4,275.00 !!!!! BEWARE, you have been warned ! read more

We bought a 13 year old home that had the SunMaster awning already installed. It has been a blessing as it is on the South side of the house and gets sun most of the day. Since it was 13 years old it was getting small tears and showing wear so I called to check and see if SunMaster had any type of maintenance available on the mechanical portion so we could make sure it was not going to become a problem. Bob came out to take a look and assured us the company stands behind their installation. After discussing some options [and wanting to change out the awning itself]. Bob was very patient and showed me different patterns and we were able to change out the awning to something we liked. The installers, Enrique and another gentleman were top notch and very professional. They cleaned up the mechanical parts and put the new one up in no time. No mess, no fuss. There was no hard sell, or pressure from the company or Bob and the new awning was ready and installed on time and looks beautiful. We were looking for window awnings for windows on the west side of our house. After looking online and reading many reviews, we chose SunMaster Products. We were quickly setup for an in home consultation where our choices for style, frame, fabric were all discussed. We then had a quick turn around with renderings and quote. One more appointment to finalize and we were on our way. Within the quoted time, we got a call that we were ready for install and set an appointment. Doggone if there wasn't a glitch. Enrique, the installer, showed me a defect in the sewing workmanship and said he would go back make the necessary adjustments and set an install appointment. It was clear that he had great pride in workmanship and product quality. In all honesty, he could have put the awnings up and we likely would have never noticed. A new appointment was set. Again Enrique found a defect in the sewing. This time I was disappointed for sure but still grateful for the integrity to point out a trouble spot. After some emails back and forth with the main office, I was assured this was assured that these troubles were an anomaly and that our job was now priority number one. It was a quick turn around and the third time was a charm. Our beautiful awnings have beem installed and we are ready for the sunny days of July. I very much appreciate the hard work and honesty that went into giving us the quality and service we were hoping for. Definitely will come back again . . . in the future we will want a retractable awning for our patio and we know where we can come for quality product and service. read more

We LOVE our new awning! I don't think the color could match any better! The installers, Enrique and Alex were so professional and thorough! Lisa (the owner) came to our house, got a swatch of paint, and matched the color of the fabricated metal perfectly. Enrique even noticed that one of the arms made a noise he didn't like when it got to a certain point, and said he will bring a replacement arm! Now that is service! BTW, what I priced out was a few hundred dollars more than Costco's off the rack version (including install), but there is no comparison in qualify and custom look for your property. Just got our SunMaster shade replaced. They did something a little different for me by mixing a striped material with solids on either end and on the valance. It looks so beautiful and unique. They also installed a second shade in the solid color. Living in Ramona, any extra shade is a great benefit. Bob came for the initial visit and got all our measurements and information perfectly so the installation was a breeze. The two installers were right on time. They were friendly, polite and extremely professional. Unlike K.V.'s experience, these folks were absolutely reliable, dependable and completely trustworthy. If they weren't, I wouldn't have gone back a second time. K.V. might want to consider giving them another chance. read more

We purchased our motorized awning from SunMaster in San Marcos back in Sept of 2007. Our very large awning (22' X 8") was installed quickly and professionally. The installers were knowledgeable and helpful in instructing us to program and use the timer and wind sensor. They completed the job quickly and left the area spotless. We loved our new awning and the service we received from Lisa, the owner, and her staff, was outstanding. She is an upbeat, pleasant young lady who went out of her way and beyond our warranty to make the product right. The fabric and electronics were warranted for 5 years. We had it just about 10 years when the tube roll split. I believe SunMaster made that tube for our deck. I called them when it broke and they immediately came out to check the damage. Within three weeks they manufactured a new tube and offered to replace the fabric at cost with the option of choosing a new fabric color. We chose to stay with the original color. After 10 years the original fabric was still in excellent condition. We would certainly recommend them for your awning needs. Great group of people and the product is outstanding.
