Shuttermart (formerly Shutters N7) did our poly clad shutters throughout our home when we first moved in 17 years ago and again a year ago when we remodeled our primary bathroom. We chose the ones without the center rods because they are more modern and cleaner looking and we did a split rail so you can open part of the blinds or all of them. You can also decide if you want them to close upward or downward. Highly recommend split rails for light control and privacy. True to their promise, the shutters did not warp, fade, or stain and the 17 year old ones look identical to the ones installed a year ago. Of course, we clean and take care of them because shutters are an investment and they do absolutely help with noise reduction and insulation. Pricing is clear and their product and installation are impeccable. We just moved and I'm sure the shutters added to our property value and we'll call on them again for our new home. read more

I ordered custom shutters for French doors in my house . I had contacted them after a friend gave me their number . They were prompt and courteous and came out did the measurements and said the shutters would be ready in 4 weeks . 6 weeks later I hadn't heard anything and I reached out a couple of times after and they told me there was an issue with the supplier . It took 3 months for the shutters to come in. They installed them and they look wonderful but the communication could have been better about the delay. I went to Shuttermart today for 2 reasons: 1) To pick up hardware that broke on my Shuttermart shutters (plastic casing over the magnet connector). The lady in the back gave me an attitude as soon as I walked in and tried to question my intelligence on how big my shutters were and what I needed. After she finally figured out what I was looking for, she said it would be $10. I said, "Shouldn't this be covered in the warranty?", and she replies, "Do you have it on you? If not it will be $10". I then explained that why would I drive all the way over here to get hardware for something I don't have and didn't pay thousands of dollars for. She continued on with her attitude so I left without the hardware. 2) To pick up 2 business cards for 2 separate friends that just bought homes and wanted to get shutters for all the windows. I obviously didn't leave with the cards, and it's too bad for Shuttermart because had this lady not given me an attitude and tried to charge me $10 for something that should have been free, they could have easily had 2 referrals totaling $15K - $20K. read more

Several years ago, we had Shuttermart in to do some repairs. It was a minor job, and the guy was nice enough not to charge us. This time, I set up a repair appointment and was told there would be a basic charge of $100, plus labor at $50 per hour. After thinking about it for a couple of days, I decided I could get the repairs done elsewhere for less. I called and told them I needed to cancel the appointment (which was set for the following week.) The woman on the phone asked me if I wanted to reschedule. I said no, it was too expensive. About 2 years ago, I purchased interior window shutters from Shuttermart for all the windows in my condo. It was a very good experience. The estimator, John, was very personable. In fact, he remembered doing a shutter installation for my sister's house about 5 years earlier. I have a thing about customer service, and can forgive a higher price if I'm treated right. When you call Shuttermart, one of the owners (husband & wife) will answer the phone! They are both super nice. Two complications that occurred that were immediately taken care of: One of the shutters was not measured correctly and was installed with a small gap since it was slightly smaller than the window frame. I called the following day and spoke to Carol. She sent John back the next day to do a remeasure. The shutter was replaced very quickly. Just recently, the white poly-clad started to turn yellow from the sun exposure. I called Carol and she sent her husband Tom to my place to inspect them. He determined that the poly-clad coating was not mixed correctly from the manufacturer and would be covered completely by the warranty. He explained that this is a rare occurrence. They are coming back to my place the end of this week to install all new shutters! I am very happy with Shuttermart and will absolutely use them again for my next place. read more

We deeply regret I trusted this company and the sales person. We discussed price and he verbally agreed. When he wrote up the paperwork he did it in three separate invoices. Unfortunately, my wife signed the paperwork without reviewing it closely because we trusted the salesperson. We made a large down payment and after most of the Shutters were installed we were asked to pay a larger amount then initially agreed on. I telephoned the sales person and stated the problem. He basically said look at the paper work, the higher amount is correct. We met and discussed the matter and he said he would take the matter up with his employer and get back to me today. When I did not hear from him I text the salesman and he said his Boss said the agreement stands as written. We feel certain the Salesperson new exactly what he was doing when he wrote up the paperwork in the manner he did by splitting it into three invoices and if review and questioned he probably would have said he made an error and corrected it then in there. read more

I had my consult with Jamie who was very detailed oriented. She took her time and showed me all the options to go with. I had two other appointments and one guy never sat down and I felt like it was a rush appointment. I decided to go with Shuttermart and I'm really happy with my shutters. I had nine Windows and it took the guys about 3 1/2 hours which was great. They cleaned up any mess that was made, and took time cleaning the shutters making sure all dust particles were gone.
