Kim the sales person/owner goes above and beyond with her service. I was kinda picky and she reassured me that the blind type, the durability, the color matching and the installation would go fine. Well, yes, on all accounts. Bummer about the mandatory wand type that had to be put in, vs the flip draw type. Price was competitive but service sublime. read more

On Tuesday, one of our Hunter-Douglas's blinds' pull cord stopped working. I sent a text to AB Blinds at 4:00pm and Kim responded before 7:00pm, same evening. She said she would be at our house the next day (Wednesday) between 12 noon and 1:00. She was running a little late, and sent me a text to let me know. The removed the blind, and since the blinds were from the mid 90s, she would need to take the blind to her shop to see if she had a clutch that would fit it. At 8:00pm, she sent me a text saying that she had found the parts needed, and she would be there by 1:00 the next day (Thursday). She arrived when she said she would, meticulously installed the repaired blind, and tested it to show me it was repaired. Her prices were very reasonable, and her work is impeccable. I would HIGHLY recommend AB Blinds if you ever need to have your blinds repaired. Also, she works on ALL brands of blinds, both manual and electric. read more

I cannot begin to say enough positive remarks regarding AB BLINDS! it is very difficult to find a company that does REPAIR of shades in San Diego. I only needed my rope of my pull shade repaired. I actually thought I would have to replace the whole shade! AB Blinds was able to restring my pleated shade and for ONLY $150. I was prepared to replace the pleated shade and that would have cost me &1,200 - $1,500!! the service was excellent! Kim came out the following day that I called she was prompt and most court and pleasant. Highly recommend! Not only do they do repairs but full service blinds and shade window coverings as well!! read more

WINDOW BLIND INSTALLATION ~ AB BLINDS ~ EXCELLENT I purchased my Levolor blinds from Lowe's and called them several days ago to arrange installation. Bad service and their installer never called me back. Today, I found AB BLINDS via my Nextdoor connection in La Mesa. I called and spoke with Todd about 3:00 today and he said I could have it done this afternoon. Gus came with his helper, was very professional, polite, and efficient. He knew exactly what to do. The installation was quick and very affordable. An excellent company!!! Thank you Gus and Todd!! I am so happy. Wish I had called them last week. Great service and pricing. (619) 966-3897 read more

Kim is one of the best professional people we have ever worked with. Meticulous, kind, thorough, and honest. She explained everything to us in detail, and was always communicative throughout the process. She went above and beyond on our project and repairs, and even had a brilliant creative idea that actually saved us quite a bit of money. She is a rarity: a true professional who loves what she does, is great at it, and genuinely loves helping people. None of the other folks we encountered during our quote process were even remotely as honest or ethical or thorough as Kim, so we can only recommend all your blinds needs start and end with her - we know ours and all of our friends' will! Thanks, Kim - you're amazing! read more

Todd from AB Blinds is very reasonable in price and knows his product. Great product and service. I didn't think we could afford wood shutters - thought we would have to go for synthetic material - but at his price, we went for it and we were happy we did! We hired him for one room and then hired him again for the rest of the house. The shutters are a huge upgrade over blinds. 100% recommend. read more

Had a significant project done a couple of months ago with Kim and Todd: shutters for about 20 windows. So far staying extremely satisfied. The company provides excellent service and value plus they have access to a lot of material suppliers to choose from. Kim was the person taking care of our project. She made several stops at the house first to very carefully measure our windows and discuss multiple ways to deal with complex corners etc. We went with her recommendations and all worked out great. The installation took less time than we expected and the results were outstanding - our windows look beautiful and modern! read more
