I feel very fortunate to have found this company. My original blind was purchased at Lowes 20 years ago! Alan & Loretta came out and gave me an estimate for repairing or replacing the blind. Because these blinds are over 20 years old, replacement parts were no longer available. Yet they were able to restring them and make them fully functional in spite of the lack of parts available. I agree with Dennis J. These guys are great. I had a similar situation where I didn't want to replace 19 y/o faux wood blinds in my rental property because the color was a perfect match. They were willing to travel outside their normal area to North County to make the repair. They were on time, did a great job in a reasonable about of time, and their pricing is very fair. One of our HunterDouglas honeycomb shades had broken and needed to be restrung. I called Complete Blind Service and spoke to Loretta who said they would be happy to handle the repair. She offered price options for me for drop the shades off or for in home pickup. I did opt for in home service since the shades are motorized. She also gave me some realistic timelines, but was also transparent about the possibility that they might need to ship the unit to HunterDouglas if Alan wasn't able to repair in in his shop, which I appreciated discussing up front. The repair did end up needing two attempts since the motor also needed adjustment so it wouldn't snap the strings again, but didn't require shipping to the manufacturer. Instead, Alan called HunterDouglas to obtain the Owner's Guide since the shades are somewhat old and got it reinstalled and working like new. Complete Blind Service is a small, family-run business, and Alan and Loretta are both personable and professional. I recommend them for installation or service without reservation. read more

I called Complete Blind Service because I had a large mini-blind that wouldn't open and close because the strings were broken. These blinds are almost 20 years old and the color matches the other mini-blinds in my kitchen so I didn't want to buy new blinds. I spoke to Loretta and she was extremely helpful. She and Alan came out to my home to look at the blinds and give me an estimate to re-string the blinds. I decided on the option of having them do the repair in my home. I thought the price was very reasonable. The came this morning, right on time, and took about an hour to do the work. They actually set up a table in my carport and repaired the blinds there. They did a super job and the blinds look great and work perfectly now. Alan and Loretta were so nice and very helpful. I will call them the next time I need a blind repair.
