I wanted shutters for my patio doors, and Harmony Blinds and Shutters did not disappoint. They had numerous options for customization, and the installation was efficient and professional. The end result is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. read more

Dear future Blinds and Shutters shoppers, I previously submitted a review on how Harmony Blinds and Shutters does not stand behind their products and how they blow-off current customers like myself and are totally non-responsive. I left messages for the owner/manager via voicemail, text, and with human co-workers. He/they did not respond. This is over months of time. Now, that I submitted a bad review they, all-the-sudden, responded via YELP (not by actually contacting me) saying ...they really care about customers and are wanting to know how they can help and would I please contact them. Probably a form letter response. Ask yourself, why does it take a bad YELP review to get them to respond? And even at that, it is only through YELP because they are trying to fool the public that they care. Bottom line is: we are done with these guys and their lame, late, insincere response is just for show. Don't be fooled. *** avoid Harmony Blinds and Shutters. read more

Cesar has completed the last two installs for me. Everything was installed perfectly, with zero issues. I think delivery/ wait time has improved since Covid era. As with any order, it's always important to verify your products, make, color, and design decisions as it's easy for installer or customer to miss something. I forget this as I've been a customer for over 10 years now and sometimes forget to review the details as a repeat customer - luckily they triple check for me! Frank is always excellent with scheduling follow-up, you reach a real person by phone or text and I would readily recommend Harmony. I'm sure I have better photos but this is the product I had most recently installed. Well done Harmony for your continued great service. read more

Harmony Blinds and Shutters - Shades & Blinds Near Me - San Diego, California

Warning - Harmony Blinds does not stand behind their products. They installed a large curtain (very expensive) to cover our slider, and the curtain stopped closing all the way. After a couple of visits that did not solve the issue, I again called to get service. Played the game of pass-the-buck to different people within Harmony Blinds to no avail. (They never call back BTW - you have to call them.) I was told I would have to talk to the owner to arrange service. I left multiple messages with no response. I called the Harmony office manager back and said I wasn't getting a response. He said there was nothing he could do. read more

We got our shutters and blinds done with this company and everything went fine. Here I am some time later and the roller shades they installed started giving me problems. I didn't know if it was the motor or what. So naturally I reached out back to harmony for help. I called Caesar's number and it went to voicemail. He states in his voicemail that he won't listen to messages so he asks that you text him instead. So that's exactly what I did. He has yet to respond to me and that was about 2 weeks ago. So yes, the customer service will be great until they get your money and then they're done with you. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Find someone or a company that cares about their customers even after the fact that they received payment. read more

This small business has had a BIG impact improving our family residences for almost 20 years. We've had 3 blind systems installed....but what really makes this firm stand out is the service after sale ! Be it periodic tune ups of the blinds Phillies, cords or slats Harmony techs give fast service, have the spare replacement parts at a reasonable price. But our latest service need provided by FRANK really stood out. Specifically we installed new carpet with thicker pile and underlying pads....which impacted the blind slats movement. I feared the need to buy shorter slats.....BUT Frank came to the rescue with a service call to cut our slats a few centimeters shorter. This is more delicate work than it would seem ( to not split the slats, etc). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED HARMONY BLINDS!!! read more

I purchased window shades from Harmony Blinds and Shutters 10 years ago and one of the shades would not go down. I called Harmony and they told me to bring the shade by and they would try to see if they could fix it. Unfortunately, because the shade was 10 yrs. old, they could not repair, so they contacted the manufacturer (Hunter Douglas). Long story short, the shade was repaired at no cost to me and it now works great. The people at Harmony were great, very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this company as their products are outstanding and customer service is excellent. read more

We have been customers for twenty years now and the customer service has not faltered. Ceasar, Frank and Sean are a winning team! Professional, expedient, cost efficient and cost effective! Previous repairs were done quickly and expertly. Almost every window and skylight are HunterDouglas shades which are stylish and durable! Their custom work is the finest! We will continue to do business with them indefinitely! read more

My entire house has window treatments from Harmony Blinds and Shutters. They have come through for me time and time again. They are very easy to work with and have been my go to place since I restored this old house. They have installed several manual and automatic shades. The quality of work is really great and they always come back if there is a problem. Thanks Harmony! read more

Good price, estimate went smoothly. Minor hiccup with delivery date (resolved) and install also went smoothly. I have used them before, although not for such a big project, and would definitely use again. read more

i wish i could rate 0 stars. extremely bad customer service. Rep was very condescending. No empathy for customers. i wanted a quote to repurchase new blinds after experience a home fire that destroyed my last set and rep was not interested in working with me on the estimate. I will not be using this company, and will be taking my business elsewhere. I would not recommend this company. reply to business VP : I understood there was no warranty on my previous set, I was NOT looking for a handout, I was NOT looking for a discount, I was looking to pay FULL price and re-purchase the set that I have at your current labor rate and pricing for the materials but the customer service that I received over the phone with the tone and the condescending answers was very inappropriate and disappointing and that is why I decided to give you the review rating I did previously. I wish we could have come to an arrangement because I did like the product. I just did not like the customer service, or should I say the lack there of. read more

I have to agree with some of the recent critical reviews. I had blinds installed by Harmony years ago and everything went well. Recently we had some new blinds installed and I shared similar experiences as other recent reviewers. I have had to make dozens for calls for follow-up at every step of the process (estimate, payment, install, and repair). Rarely does anyone at at Harmony answer a call, text, or email. When I call the office I usually get a voicemail and no callback. If I do connect with a person at the office they tell me they will callback and never do. The most expensive blind we ordered was installed but was the wrong size/not as promised and it has been 5 months without repair or replacement. Every time I manage to get ahold of someone I get new date, which is then missed/rescheduled. Please consider ordering from a company that makes things right if something goes wrong, that is not Harmony. read more

We love Cesar and Shawn from Harmony Blinds. We are soo happy with the exceptional service, the timely response and installation. Cesar did an amazing job explaining the different types of window coverings, gave his best recommendations and is very knowledgeable. Shawn makes installation looks very easy although I know it probably isn't. Our order came with a few minor defects but they went ahead and ordered replacements right away! We know we're in good hands and will trust Harmony Blinds again in the future projects! read more

I'm happy with the quality and service this company provided. The blinds took a while to get in, longer than quoted, but the installation was very quick and when I had an issue with the fabric bubbling, they were quick to reply to my inquiry and fixed them the next day with a steamer and made sure to clean them as well. They did an exceptional job overall. read more

I can not let this day end without pausing to write this review. I used Harmony Blinds many year ago for the first time. I had a great experience then. When I needed updated window coverings last year, I contacted Harmony Blinds. I am happy to say that I am thrilled with the look and functionality of my new Roman Shades. A few adjustments were required but Cesar took care of the adjustments in a professional and efficient manner. The shades look great!! The whole team, including Frank have been a pleasure to do business with. I will recommend Harmony Blinds and Shutters to my friends, family and coworkers!! read more

Highly recommend Harmony Blinds and Shutters! I worked with Cesar, who was very responsive and patient as I went back and forth on figuring out the color and style of roller shades I wanted to go with for each bedroom in my home. The windows in my bedroom are wider than most of the standard roller shades and Cesar showed me a great option, when other companies made it seem like it would be way more complicated than it needed it to be. Not only was Cesar great, but Sean who installed them was also super nice and did an excellent job. They make a great team! I'm so happy with how everything turned out and I hope my recommendation might make your decision easier on choosing what company to go with for your windows. : ) read more

Great company and team. We had our blinds ordered at a great price and the turnaround time was fast. We had to wait for our new windows to be installed but once that was done, Harmony came in the day after and put in our blinds. These guys work fast. I would definitely use them again. read more

If we could give this company NO STARS, we WOULD! Worst Company my fiance and I have ever worked with. We found Harmony Blinds and Shutters through Yelp, and with all of the great reviews, we thought for sure they'd be a great company to work with. We were so incredibly wrong. We are currently at 1 YEAR and 9 MONTHS without any RESOLUTION. We are not difficult people to work with, and it's not like we had unrealistic expectations. The company was quick to take payment, even though the JOB was in no way completed, and Wayne continues to hold our money hostage. We told them that we'd had enough and Wayne told me he would come and remove the blinds and give us our money back, but what are we supposed to do about covering the windows in the meantime. He took our original blinds when they installed the shutters and now we have to sacrifice even more because the company won't make the situation right. I have no problem giving them the SH... shutters they installed, but not until we have a replacement. We ended up giving them the shutters back and we went with Elite instead. The experiwnce was night and day. If you need shutters, go to Elite. Stay away from Harmony. read more

We recently had them replace the honeycomb shades in our master bedroom and bath. This was my second time using Harmony Blinds. The service is timely and professional. Their prices are very reasonable and they back up the products they provide. The clasp on the cord on my over 5 year shades in the kitchen had cracked due to sun exposure. I Just showed him and asked what it would cost to get a new one. I received a few mailed to me at no charge. Superb service and product. read more

We had beautiful drapes installed. They were professional in every way and the entire process was timely and smooth. Caesar was our salesman and very knowledgeable. Short version: - Expensive - Horrible customer service - All about sales, scammy at times Story time: So we've used them once before and they were great. Thats where all the good reviews come from. Now they're just bad. We get an appointment for our new house. Eldan arrives 30 minutes late. We have kids so this isn't idea. During that 30 minutes, no one (office, Eldan, etc) will pick up the phone or respond to voicemails. Once he gets there he also doesn't address it at all or apologize. He measures and does his thing, it just feels salsey, not like before where they felt like a great honest person. Just seemed like he wanted to get us into the most expensive stuff and get out. For example we asked if they do screen doors; he said they did and we said we would think about it. THEN we see it on our invoice/estimate to sign. We never talked about color, styles, options, etc., but he just threw it on there. He then said 2-3 weeks, turned out to be 5 weeks when they finally came. Guess what, they forgot an entire window covering. It was never ordered. I called about a week later and asked about progress on that and it STILL wasn't ordered! I don't want to ramble but long story short I went through the cycle of checking on it and being told I'd be called "tomorrow", waiting two days, and calling back. This happened for a couple weeks. There's a lot of this craziness that I haven't included. BTW: Eldan never apologized or checked in, when I emailed him there was no concern what so ever. Once everything was complete they took off a whopping (sarcasm) $150 for an inconvenience fee. There is still a balance on my invoice but they never followed up so I figured they called it a wash in consideration. I've since reached out to get some replacement parts that broke and haven't heard a thing! I finally get a call today because I see the invoice was resent, and I reply to that, and the manager nooooow sees the emails I've been sending about the broken piece, how weird. Stay away, this is a company that was great and has changed quite a bit. read more

Let me start by saying that we have used Harmony three separate times and the first two times were fantastic. Now the bad news. We had them come out to add shutters to the rest of the house that MATCH the ones we have. We got shutters installed while I was at work and when I came home I found shutters that don't match at all. Even after multiple visits and photo exchanges they were dead wrong. Then they sent me a new invoice to sign that is for the full cost to replace them. Since then it's been radio silence. The person who did measurements and ordering said it was his first time and it seemed like he was trying to brush the whole thing under the rug. Well done new guy! You have successfully lost a customer and probably many more based on the other reviews saying similar things. The first person we worked with was amazing and totally on it. This last time was a complete disaster and now we have shutters that don't match and a really bad taste in our mouths. We got burned pretty deep, to the tune of about $4500. Go elsewhere. Trust me on this one. I don't know if Harmony is under new ownership or they have just gotten too big to care, but their quality has gone down considerably. It would be really nice to actually get matching shutters as we had planned on getting. read more

Horrible prices on obviously inferior items is the norm here. Run for your life from this place, the snooty people here who really don't know as much as they think, the products that are bottom-feeder choices, just shy of what you find in a thrift store,. Nothing short of a bad - high priced joke. read more

We used Harmony blinds before and had Caesar do the measurements and help select the best shutters for our home. We were thrilled then and even happier this time because the decision was more complicated. Caesar gave us advice about something we selected and how busy it would look and showed a style more suitable and useable for our window size. While he was here he adjusted some parts to help both our sliding glass door shutters to move more easily. He is very personable and friendly but especially trustworthy. We have recommended and will continue to recommend your business. read more

From quote to installation, the entire process was highly professional and friendly. We were presented with samples, videos and photos to help us choose our shutters. Cesar helped us make our decisions, but was never pushy. At installation, the process went smoothly and quickly. We were so impressed with the precision and care, and the attention to detail. Most importantly, they look great and have transformed the look of our house! Support local business...I recommend Harmony! read more

We are getting our second order now from Harmony Blinds & Shutters! We worked closely with Ricardo who helped us figure out our blinds and custom woven shades - he was very responsive in dealing with a manufacturer's issue on the shades and replacing this for us. The replacement shade was delivered very quickly. Frank was also helpful and responsive, as well as their financial accountant. The pricing is affordable and the value is great compared to the quotes we received from competitors. The warranty for 7 years is also great. read more

Disappointing experience especially after selecting Harmony Blinds based upon favorable historic YELP ratings. First, the positive: the two installers Sean & James were prompt, polite, and efficient. They did their best during two visits to remediate errors caused by incorrect estimator errors. The estimator, meanwhile, had made two major errors while measuring vertical blind replacements for a slider door and two windows. The first error was ordering a side-to-center opening blinds track instead of the correct center-to-side opening for our single slider door. When opened, the vertical blinds were "parked" in the center of the slider door, compromising the ability to use the door until a replacement track could be obtained and installed. The second error was incorrectly measuring a recessed window box. This resulted in the vertical blinds striking the window frame when the blinds were opened or closed. We all make errors and we were willing to work around these problems. However, our disappointment relates to little or no consideration by Harmony Blinds to expeditiously correct these issues. At a minimum, we thought that a replacement track for us to be able to use the slider door would have been expedited by Harmony to correct their error. Unfortunately, this was not the case; we had to wait over three weeks to receive and install the replacement track. Meanwhile, there was no offer to correct the recessed window measurement issue. James was kind enough to disassemble and adjust the vertical blind assembly as much as he could to obtain adequate (but not ideal) clearance around the window frame. In closing, I identify these issues online as constructive criticism as the owner of Harmony Blinds failed to return my call to address these issues in private. The subordinate that did respond to my call had quite the air of indifference to these issues. read more

Agree with Rick M and others on here. Scammers here seeking fast profits to resuscitate what appears to be a failing business locked into a 90's mentality. Would not recommend them simply for the simple fact they do not know how to estimate jobs (fairly). You would be much better served patronizing online companies or even the big box stores where honest and accurate estimates are the MAJOR DIFFERENCE between them and this joint-in-the-wall. read more

We worked with Harmony to install both shutters and roller blinds in our home. First to last, Cesar and Shawn did and excellent job. Super responsive, very patient in making sure we were satisfied, and great pricing. Cesar spent a lot of time and effort to make sure that I knew all the options that would fit my window. Couldn't ask for more. Highly recommend. read more

When I hired Harmony Blinds to install 2 Hunter Douglas roller shades more than 3 months ago, I was told that it would take 6-8 weeks for installation because of COVID delays, which is understandable. However, they have completely failed to deliver- 1) Expect long delays 2) Don't expect them to contact you to inform you that your installation is delayed 3) You have to actively reach out to them at least 3 times to get something done 4) Their phone number doesn't work 5) Cesar, the manager, doesn't reply to texts for days on end 6) My installation of 1 of 3 blinds ordered is crooked (the other 2 still haven't been installed) If you're going to spend thousands of dollars on premium shades, the least they can provide is premium support. I do not recommend this company and I regret choosing them. read more

We've worked with Harmony Blinds several times over the past 7 years and have always received exceptional service, reasonable prices, and beautiful results. Beginning with basic vinyl blinds, we've slowly upgraded to motorized roller shades and vertical fabric blinds. From the sales/measuring visits to the installation, they did a great job. Their prices were the same or a little lower than other quotes, the salesman (Eldann) was very thorough and friendly, and the installers (James and Sean) were on-time (early actually) and really fast. They installed 8 blinds in about 30 minutes. If we do more blinds, I will definitely call Harmony. read more

Used to be a great company when Wayne ran it. My understanding is he is no longer involved in the business that's why my next experience was probably not the same. Since they did such a good job on the original installation I called them back to do some other installations and repairs only to find out that Wayne is no longer with them but the company still has the same name. It took multiple phone calls to get somebody to call me back to even schedule coming out. It took multiple phone calls to try to find out what the estimate would be but unfortunately NEVER received an estimate. So I bought $5000 worth of blinds from Costco. Their installer was great, fast, efficient, everything you want in a business. I am sorry to leave a less than positive review but I can't in good conscious recommend them. I will say my 2nd experience was a year ago so they may have been able to work out whatever issues they had. I wish them the best. read more

We had some complex motorized and solar powered skylight coverings ordered through Harmony Blinds. They were the only company that found a solution for us and did a very detailed and thorough install that involved uneven surfaces, very high ceilings, and cables that had to be hidden.
