North County installed our balcony about five years ago -- and we've always loved it! And to top it off, their service has been fantastic. We called Kira a few days ago and let her know that a few of our wire end caps had fallen off. She quickly responded by sending us a whole package of end caps. And no charge! Perfect! read more

Just had our deck rebuild finished and love it! The team was great, the new deck is stronger, and beautiful. We checked with 3 other companies prior to, and trusted going with North County Deck & Patio. They delivered and were competitive in price. Highly recommend their services. read more

George and his crew at North County Deck and Patio went above and beyond on a Trex deck and aluminum patio cover project for me. The whole team is made of talented and hard working craftsmen who ensured my vision was executed perfectly. Tom may seem rough around the edges but he kept my project on track and made sure it turned out exactly how I wanted. Kira has incredible follow-up and attention to detail and always communicates every single step of the way. The final product surpassed every expectation that I had and was worth every penny. I love my deck! read more

This review is long overdue! After a disappointing experience with previous contractors for our backyard, we were hesitant and had lost trust in hiring again. That completely changed once we met the NCD team. From the start, Kira made everything feel clear, organized, and easy to navigate including estimate/costs. Which was absolutely with every penny. Tom and the crew are true professionals--honest, transparent, and knowledgeable about every aspect of the project, from design and options to overall strategy. They followed all city requirements and permits, which gave us added peace of mind. Communication was excellent throughout the entire build/process. Tom and Kira kept us informed every step of the way, so there were never any surprises. The quality of the work was exceptional--meticulous attention to detail, precise cuts, accurate measurements, and perfectly leveled construction. The project also moved along faster than expected, taking only about 2.5 to 3 weeks from start to finish. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with an even better outcome. We now have a beautiful deck and fence that truly matches our vision for our home. I would highly recommend NCD to anyone looking for deck installation or related services. We're incredibly grateful and couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you to the entire NCD team! read more

From the first meeting with George for consultation about our deck replacement to the next meeting with Tom going over details of the job to the weeks with the crew, we were impressed with the attention to detail, professionalism, follow up, answering our questions and the work ethic of the crew. Kira was also exceptional in the office coordinating dates for the work and payment schedule. Our site presented some challenges with a slope and garden box to work around. They met every issue with solutions and careful execution. We can't think of enough good things to say about this company and are happy to highly recommend them to anyone we know needing their services. read more

George from North County Deck and Patio came to my home to give me an estimate on repairing and updating my patio. Our visit was very good and went well. Before he left he let me know it would take a few days before he would have an estimate ready. I waited 9 days before I reached out to get an update. His office responded very quickly and said he was still waiting from quotes to come back from suppliers but I should be hearing from him within the next week. Well I finally did hear back but it was 12 days later and I was told they decided not to even bid the project. Their reason being that in the past they tried to bid jobs like mine and had experienced added cost and major issues and they were not equipped to handle a project like mine. 3 weeks was wasted waiting for a bid on a project they were not equipped to handle when I could have been told the day they came to my house the project was not one they felt they could handle. Stringing a potential customer along for 3 weeks is not my idea of good business management. read more

NCDP was not my lowest bid. I chose them over the others because they came out and measured but also took photos and provided a detailed proposal. They licensed and bonded and another NCDP employee came out to do a site analysis before ordering the material for the job. I knew when they were installing as their office kept me informed at least weekly. The installation was flawless and we got exactly what we ordered. From concept to final construction I knew what I was getting with NCDP. You should check them out! read more

Replaced our rotting 2nd floor wood balcony w fire resistant composite and metal railings. Project took 4 days start to finish. Day 1 was teardown. Day 2 was to replace the support structure. Day 3 was the rafters and balcony floor. Day 4 was the remainder of the balcony and railings. Workers showed up at 8:30 and worked until about 3. Every day they stowed tools and equipment and swept so the work site was always tidy. Finished balcony was painted w matching paint and looks perfect. Porta potty was placed as asked during job and removed promptly at project close. Trellis was reattached to balcony and wiring was intact. read more

This week our deck and patio was finished and we are more than pleased with the outcome. Scheduling our first meet with George to gather the measurements for the bid was easy. All the following meetings with George (Owner) and Tom (Project manager) went great. No BS straight forward information and no promises they couldn't keep. Toms technical knowledge was top. Kira did a really great job scheduling meetings and the building crew. Communication was top notch and it took always only minutes for her to repond and answering questions. Everything happened in a timely manner and everyone was on time, every day. Everyone who worked on our deck was awesome, friendly, respectful and cleaned up the work area every day. A special shout out to Adam, Juan and Shay. They are such good people, builders and have great knowledge, expertise and skills. You could tell by how they interact with each other that they enjoy what they do and you can see that at the result. They always kept us informed and in the loop. Couldn't asked for a greater team. Thanks again to everyone ... you guys rock. Great people lead to a great result. read more

From A-Z, we had a magnificent experience with NC Deck and Patio. I met with George when we noticed some serious "dry rot" on the support beams, joists, and railing structure of our 25 year old balcony. He came out, assessed the damage, went through options, and gave us a competitive bid. We waited a few months, and then called to schedule our project. Communication with George and (mostly, post-estimate) Kira in the office, was ALWAYS concise, professional, friendly, and TIMELY. Once the project was scheduled, we met with Tom (also very knowledgable and friendly), who went over the "fine points" of the project. The demolition and construction began as promised on a Monday. Adam, James, and Rick were SUPER polite, professional, VERY hard-working, and skilled. They were on-the-job early, were mindful of noise (as best one can considering the project), they were careful with things on our backyard, and informed us about the progress each day. The demo/construction took 4.5 days, which we thought was pretty impressive. Our new balcony looks SENSATIONAL! I honestly could not have hoped for a better overall experience (and trust me, I am not a fan of inflated or "fake" praise). It was our absolute pleasure to have worked with the whole gang at NC Deck & Patio! read more

George came out to discuss the project and promised to provide the quote shortly. Not only did I not hear back from the business, but also received no follow-up after I reached out, despite the online contact person responding with an assurance that they will get that to me. read more

North County Deck & Patio did a wonderful job of replacing our 24 year old deck. Adam and Juan were very personable and very professional. They never failed to ask questions rather than try to guess what we wanted. The end result is absolutely beautiful. Adam and Juan completely removed the old deck and supporting structures so we should be good for at least 24 more years. Tom's design is elegant and striking. Special thanks to Kira for coordinating. We love our new deck and highly recommend North County Deck & Patio. read more

North County Deck & Patio were amazing. We had a very unique space to install a patio cover. George came out to assess and discuss options, which were perfect for what we had in mind. Kira in the office handled everything from scheduling, invoicing, etc with professionalism. Eric the installer was extremely personable and installed our cover to our unique space perfectly. We love it! It transformed the space into one of the best spots in our home! The patio cover is insulated which helps during extreme weather, includes rain gutters to control the rain fall, and is visually stunning. Thank you all so much! read more

We had a good experience with NC Deck & Patio. They were attentive to all of our questions and helped us find a solution to a privacy wall design. The work crew was clean, efficient, and helpful in answering our questions during construction. They did a good job cleaning up and hauling away the old deck materials. I would definitely recommend them for your project! and the price was right compared to other bids we received. Craig and Teresa Heberer Oceanside, CA read more

We hired North County Deck & Patio to replace an old wood patio cover, and we have nothing but great things to say about them. Every step of the process was excellent - from our initial meeting with George to discuss the project, to the thoughtfulness and thoroughness of the demo and build teams, to Kira's communications to ensure we were updated through the entire project. We love our new patio cover! I would wholeheartedly recommend their services and we will definitely contact them again in the future should the need arise. read more

We love our new patios that were just installed by North County Deck & Patio. These replaced redwood decking that we have enjoyed for the past 40 years. We are especially appreciative of all the help provided by everyone at North County Deck who participated in our project! From my first discussions with George the owner who provided excellent guidance on design and materials decisions, to the project leadership from Tom who took careful measurements and thought through so many of the challenges that projects like this entail. But I especially want to acknowledge the team that made all the day to day project decisions and detail work so well done by Adam and excellent workmanship by Juan. One of our goals for our new patios was to make them safer from wild fires, so we chose TimberTech AZEK decking that is Class A rated for fire safety. They have a way of fastening the decking where you don't even see the fasteners at all which makes for a very clean look. We were also seeking to have the upper patio shaded and the rain water channeled away. So NCDP recommended an Elitewood aluminum patio cover. The day after the cover was completed it rained, and only the edges of the patio even got wet. Our new patios just extended our home by about 500 square feet! read more

This is one of those rare moments when Yelp reviews did not help. We contacted this company due to their Yelp reviews and they showed up, assessed the project and then never called back. We had to call them a few times to get them to respond and he finally told us it was too big of a project?? I am not a contractor, but the last thing I would think is that a project is too big, especially when it is a simple deck refurbish. Disappointed in the lack of communication to say the least, but adding this review as it might help someone else if you start to see a trend. read more

We had our second story balcony completely redone by NC Deck & Patio. They gave us the best quote of the other two companies. There was dry rot on the deck that needed replacement, but we decided to replace the whole thing. The columns were wood and stucco and we wanted to keep them, but after demolishing the deck the columns looked good on the outside but were rotten inside thus they had to be replaced. We were very happy with the job they did and made the balcony look much more modern than it did before. Their design that we settled on made for much easier maintenance than the old balcony. One thing that impressed us was that they kept us updated on the schedule so we were never surprised as to when they were and were not going to be there to work on it. There were some delays, but it was never a problem. If we had questions, we could always reach out to Kira and we would get an answer promptly. The workers were pleasant and friendly, always working steadly throughout the process. The only issue I had was that they had left a few paint drops on the concrete after painting that I had to clean up. Other than that we were very happy with their work and highly recommend them. I've attached before and after pictures. read more

Very happy I called and chose NCD&P. I concur with all the Yelp praise reviews regarding George's handling analysis, quote and explanation of possibilities for the replacement of my deck off my upstairs master bedroom. Also Kira's responsiveness to the handling of communications and billing. The crew, Ric and Kai, were steadfast, hardworking and professional throughout the four plus days, a couple of them hitting 97 degrees! I highly recommend this company. read more

They did a great job re-doing our deck (that was poorly constructed by a previous owner, and we needed a ton of work). George was incredibly helpful, and he spent a lot of time with us just to understand some of the challenges, provide some considerations / options for what we might want to do, and give us a quote. A couple of other local providers gave quick estimates in an attempt to start working and "figure it out", but we did not feel nearly as comfortable with what some of these other providers might actually do. When it came time to scheduling and doing the job, Tom and the team were great. They were transparent with the steps to completion, and we discussed some options / pivots along the way. Most importantly - the final product is terrific, and we are really happy we chose to work with North County Deck & Patio. read more

We received quotes from several deck experts as well as handyman services. The price is fair but what really sold us is the pictures and service. We had a few lazy contractors who didn't even want to bother coming over to give me an estimate. Kira the office manger is very detailed and organized. George came over and answered our questions and emails. Tom came by and was so great with explaining the process. Our installers Adam and Matt....wow. These two are detailed. You can see it in their work. So impressed with this company. Would highly recommend. Very professional the whole way through. read more

George, the owner, came out to my home about one year ago. He took measurements, showed me product samples, and left some brochures of quality, durable and low maintenance products for decking and rail system. I contacted him about a year later on August 31, 2022, when I had my funds. He came by and we discussed the project and design in detail. I signed the contract mid-September. I wanted two pergolas, stairs and rail replacement, and new carport to be built. With delays from the holidays, driveway installation, and the rainstorms, the project was finally finished 1/17/23. I am very happy with the end results. The crew is great, courteous, and responsive to my needs. I highly recommend them. read more

North County Deck & Patio did a great job building a beautiful deck for us. Our old and dilapidated wood deck was replaced with Trex and the design, quality and look of the new deck is outstanding. We especially appreciate the attention to detail Chase and Wes put into their work constructing the deck. They were professional and thorough, and it was reassuring to have work done without feeling like we had to keep a close eye on the process to be sure it was done right. We highly recommend North County Deck and Patio. We have a 2 story home. We wanted our 30 foot long balcony deck replaced with IPE wood. We also wanted a new cable railing, new fascia boards, and a new Elitewood patio cover. We had a number of companies come out and give us estimates. We chose NCDP because George was so knowledgeable and he gave us an estimate that was within our budget. Tom then did the precise measurements and finalized the materials. He was also very knowledgeable. Ben and Evan did an amazing job getting all the work done. They are clearly experts at what they do. Kira, the Office Manager, did a great job communicating with us. Our whole family is very pleased with the results. We are very happy to recommend NCDP to all our family and friends. read more

I can't say enough good things about my construction experience with NCDP! From the first contact for an estimate through project completion has been smooth sailing. After rejecting 4 other bids I was ready to give up on my second story deck project for a while. I tried one more time with an estimate from NCDP. They were more professional AND knowledgeable about Oceanside code than anyone else I interviewed. Price was not lowest but far from highest.
