It wasn't an easy adjustment to line up perfectly, but he did a great job and made sure I was happy before finalizing everything. He helped us arrive at a suitable energy-efficient Simonton models to replace 5 of our windows at a reasonable price. He also measured all the windows to be replaced and promptly provided a written quote. Three of our replacements were for original 30+ year-old single-hung windows which were no longer functional because their balances had failed. The replacement Simonton windows have a better design that obviates the need for such balances, which was of added value to me! The total window order, measured and made to order, was received by JWG within 3 weeks and installed within 1 week. JWG Windows arrived just minutes before the scheduled time for installation. We were fortunate to have a second installation crew (Alex and Ricky) join the first crew (EJ and Cody) during the installation process, which allowed the entire job to be done within 2.5 hours. These two teams operated smoothly together in good spirits, were respectful of our property (using drop cloths in each work area) and cleaned up the work areas. After they were installed, EJ demonstrated the windows' operating features, provided me with the manufacturer's warranty and answered my questions. (The self-latching worked a bit differently than I expected, which actually was an improvement!) The windows look great and are a pleasure to use! Nice work, JWG!

First - I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the way Pelican handled the scheduling of the install - or rather, bungled. The crew arrived at my home this morning just after 8:00 am with no warning at all. Surprise! It turns out their scheduler sent an email July 18 with notice of intent to install to a fancifully incorrect email address. And, when they received no response from me (and why would they?), no one at Pelican deemed it prudent to follow up with a phone call. Fire and forget? 2 stars. The process to set this up was painless. Their sales/frontman (Isael) paid 2 visits, took careful measurements, explained my options and was a total professional. Not the least bit pushy. 5 stars. OK - on to the install. In a word - slick. The 3-man crew was efficient and from what I can tell (pics attached) did a very nice job removing the old, and installing the new. Again, very professional and respectful of my home, its contents, and my time. No fuss, no muss. The whole process for 6 windows was over and done in 4 hours. Again, 5 stars. The end result - no more drafty louvered windows, replaced with energy efficient, double glazed, argon gas filled windows. I'm pleased with the result, and recommend Pelican as a first stop when shopping for replacement windows.

They came out this morning, a crew of three, set up scaffolding and took the damaged window out and installed the new one in a matter of hours. I'm sitting in my bedroom now looking at a bird and expecting it to fly right in. You can hardly tell there is glass there, it's so pure and clear! My only regret is that their truck wasn't on our street 10 years ago! I would call them back in a heartbeat for any glass or mirror work we may need in the future! Call them!!!

Fisher and a 2nd company were about the same price and a third was almost twice. Based on their positive reviews, their promptness in getting back, and their quote, we went with Fisher. The entire process was flawless - as good as one could imagine. They came to make the measurement, determined the tint of the other windows to insure a match, and installed a replacement within ten days of taking the measurements. Rick and his co-worker were a pleasure to deal with, as was the office, that kept us aprised of the schedule. This was one of the best experiences I've ever had for a home repair/service company. Highly recommend.

My husband told me on the day of installation, they were punctual, efficient and completed the window replacements on time. We got Simonton laminated double paned windows, and although they haven't blocked out as much sound as I hoped, they actually help a good deal with lowering hot temperatures in that room in the summer. It's been about a year and the windows still look great and work well (they're also much easier to slide open than our old windows). I would definitely recommend them!

I put the project out to bid on Yelp and got a half dozen responders. This glass company was not the low bidder, I rarely go with the low bidder unless they can justify underbidding everyone else. Southern California Windows & Door had the highest Yelp rating. The glass was 1/2 inch thick, 92 inches by 39 inches, very heavy, in a difficult corner of the glass wall. They got on the project in a reasonable amount of time considering they had to order the glass. They kept me informed of dates and progress. The staff were nice but our windows continue to have condensation in the morning all year round even in summer time with zero visibility outside to look at our view. They replaced some but they still do the same. They keep saying it's normal for windows to have condensation like car windows which we never experienced even from our old windows. We talked to other window dealers and they said it's a lie that condensation is normal for new expensive windows. In the morning we can't see our outside view for hours until later when the sun melts the condensation especially during winter. It's a poor material even though it looks new. The refused to give another sets that does not have the same problem because they said we have to buy a new set and it's different color. We're stuck with this annoying problem for life and bad view unless we spend a lot again to replace it. I wish they would correct this.

so I'm one of those people that NEVER, ever writes reviews but I'm doing so because a) I support local business and b) Kelly deserves to have his name advertised as much as possible because Mobile Speed Screens is a really great company. I've always been a big supporter of small, local business in the area so I always like to check them out before I check out the big guys. Yes, sometimes the smaller businesses have the higher prices, but not Kelly & Mobile Speed Screens. I did my homework and compared the prices, and Kelly was just as reasonable, if not cheaper (NO SERVICE CHARGE!!!!) than the big guys. BIG PLUS. Then, he's passionate about what he does, and he's good at it. He doesn't just do the work to get it done, he takes his time to make sure it's done correctly and, he's quick about it to boot! I called him late afternoon and he was at my place first thing the next morning. I had him update all my screens from a long "winter" (you know, those killer Cali winters we have!) on the first floor, including a couple of screened doors, and he was done in just a few short hours -- and I have A LOT of windows! If you need ANY kind of screen service, call Kelly first. He's personable, a hard worker, and will definitely get you ready for that great southern California weather we all know and love! I used Mobile Speed Screens upon moving out of my rental at the end of my lease since we had to fix all of the screens that were damaged over our time there. Kelly was not only quick to get back to me about my service inquiry (that same day!), but was also able to quote me over the phone so that there were no surprises about how much it would cost. On the day that he came to perform the service, he even suggested that we replace the current screen door since it wasn't operating properly and it was a better price than any other companies in the area (yay)! Another great option....he allows you to pay with cash or credit card (via Square). I will definitely be using him again when I get settled into my next place to put in a custom screen/dog door! Quite expensive ($1000) for a screen door that doesn't lock, weather stripping falls off within three months and dangerous snapping retraction if it unlatches accidentally from the wind without someone holding on to it. I called to let them know about the weather stripping and the weak magnet strength. I was told time after time that the owner would call me back within 24 hrs. Never received a call. Very disappointed.
