These guys at Fisher Glass were amazing!! I saw their truck a few weeks ago on our street in Point Loma and walked over to talk to them. One of them came right over to look at the window that we needed to replace and got the ball rolling! We had a big 2nd story bedroom double pane window that the seal failed so it looked like amoebas were attached to the glass. They came out this morning, a crew of three, set up scaffolding and took the damaged window out and installed the new one in a matter of hours. I'm sitting in my bedroom now looking at a bird and expecting it to fly right in. You can hardly tell there is glass there, it's so pure and clear! My only regret is that their truck wasn't on our street 10 years ago! I would call them back in a heartbeat for any glass or mirror work we may need in the future! Call them!!! read more

One of our four large (8' x 6') custom fixed picture windows developed spots after about 15 years. I found Fisher Glass here on Yelp and contacted them and two other companies for rough quotes over the phone, based on their reviews. Fisher and a 2nd company were about the same price and a third was almost twice. Based on their positive reviews, their promptness in getting back, and their quote, we went with Fisher. The entire process was flawless - as good as one could imagine. They came to make the measurement, determined the tint of the other windows to insure a match, and installed a replacement within ten days of taking the measurements. Rick and his co-worker were a pleasure to deal with, as was the office, that kept us aprised of the schedule. This was one of the best experiences I've ever had for a home repair/service company. I tried this company because I saw good reviews. I had a genuinely awful experience trying to work with these people. I gave them a scaled drawing with notes for a bid. They gave me a bid and committed to the job before seeing it- they actually refused to come out before hand. After the deposit was paid they came out, measured and said to expect an installation in about 3 days. Their communication is abysmal. After 5 days of not hearing from them I called and emailed. Crickets. They finally responded when I asked if they'd stolen our money. They replied that it was a difficult job and they were trying to get a mirror company to do the work. As it turns out they only install product, which they never mentioned. No one would cut the glass for them so they couldn't do the job they committed to. I tried to make another option work but that wasn't happening. They made 2 trips to the house for a job they couldn't perform and tried to take $350 in trip charges out of the deposit, which was never discussed. That's obviously egregious especially because it wasn't like we just changed our minds. They couldn't perform the work they agreed to perform and tried to charge us for their incompetence. It's a husband and wife team. She was rude and got aggressive when I told her no one was paying them $350 for their mistake. She said she had to talk to her husband because she was unfamiliar with the job but I had spoken with her in detail about it 3 days previously.... It was pretty nuts. My shower door had a bad hinge, so I went online but was having trouble finding a repair place for just replacing a hinge on a job they hadn't originally installed. Whew, do I feel fortunate to have found Fisher Glass! Very professional, eager to help. They asked me to send a photo of the hinges with a tape measure showing the dimensions (so they could arrive with the proper pieces.) Within a few days they receive part & promptly made arrangements to come to my home. The 2 of them quickly took care of the job. They saved the day! Fisher Glass just replaced the glass in 15 of the windows in our home and we couldn't be happier! One of the large windows was a challenge as it was on the second story directly over the pool. No problem! They built a platform across the pool, and scaffolding on the platform, to get that huge piece of glass installed. After they left we saw one little scratch in a window and they replaced it right away. No questions asked. They really took the time to be sure the tint on each window matched the others surrounding it, which the other company we consulted didn't even bother to do, and the tempered large windows are fantastic.
