One of our four large (8' x 6') custom fixed picture windows developed spots after about 15 years. I found Fisher Glass here on Yelp and contacted them and two other companies for rough quotes over the phone, based on their reviews. Fisher and a 2nd company were about the same price and a third was almost twice. Based on their positive reviews, their promptness in getting back, and their quote, we went with Fisher. The entire process was flawless - as good as one could imagine. They came to make the measurement, determined the tint of the other windows to insure a match, and installed a replacement within ten days of taking the measurements. Rick and his co-worker were a pleasure to deal with, as was the office, that kept us aprised of the schedule. This was one of the best experiences I've ever had for a home repair/service company. Highly recommend. read more

Fisher Glass - Replacing the window - Glass & Mirrors Near Me - Encinitas, California

These guys at Fisher Glass were amazing!! I saw their truck a few weeks ago on our street in Point Loma and walked over to talk to them. One of them came right over to look at the window that we needed to replace and got the ball rolling! We had a big 2nd story bedroom double pane window that the seal failed so it looked like amoebas were attached to the glass. They came out this morning, a crew of three, set up scaffolding and took the damaged window out and installed the new one in a matter of hours. I'm sitting in my bedroom now looking at a bird and expecting it to fly right in. You can hardly tell there is glass there, it's so pure and clear! My only regret is that their truck wasn't on our street 10 years ago! I would call them back in a heartbeat for any glass or mirror work we may need in the future! Call them!!! read more

Reached out to Fisher Glass through Yelp and had an excellent experience. Great service, terrific staff, and great work. Rick Fisher takes great pride in their attention and service, personally doing installations. They replaced one pane on my sliding glass door, they knocked it out in about an hour. Did a great job cleaning up along with executing the installation. I completely endorse Fisher Glass, give them a call for any of your residential glass needs. read more

They quoted me 1000 over the price that I ended up getting it fixed for. Good thing I got a couple quotes and didn't go with the first one

I tried this company because I saw good reviews. I had a genuinely awful experience trying to work with these people. I gave them a scaled drawing with notes for a bid. They gave me a bid and committed to the job before seeing it- they actually refused to come out before hand. After the deposit was paid they came out, measured and said to expect an installation in about 3 days. Their communication is abysmal. After 5 days of not hearing from them I called and emailed. Crickets. They finally responded when I asked if they'd stolen our money. They replied that it was a difficult job and they were trying to get a mirror company to do the work. As it turns out they only install product, which they never mentioned. No one would cut the glass for them so they couldn't do the job they committed to. I tried to make another option work but that wasn't happening. They made 2 trips to the house for a job they couldn't perform and tried to take $350 in trip charges out of the deposit, which was never discussed. That's obviously egregious especially because it wasn't like we just changed our minds. They couldn't perform the work they agreed to perform and tried to charge us for their incompetence. It's a husband and wife team. She was rude and got aggressive when I told her no one was paying them $350 for their mistake. She said she had to talk to her husband because she was unfamiliar with the job but I had spoken with her in detail about it 3 days previously.... It was pretty nuts. I highly don't recommend them. read more

I've been working with Fisher Glass on remodel projects for a few years now and everything about them is professional and competitive. Started out with needing a shower enclosure because my usual guy was out of town for a couple weeks, and that was almost four years ago. Rick & Dom have bid and installed countless shower enclosures for us, replaced window panels, and recently moved on to installing windows, sliders, and exterior doors for us as well. Brandi is great to work with & easy to get hold of for scheduling and they are always on time and within budget, even willing to work with us on cost if need be. If something needs service or adjusting, Rick or Dom are out there that day if they can or they'll work you in to their busy schedule ASAP. Highly recommended crew here. read more

Not only was fisher glass the first to respond to my inquiry on Yelp (on a holiday weekend), but they were also by far the best value (other companies were trying to charge me 3x what Fisher did)! I needed a large mirror removed above our fireplace and they were in and out in under 20 minutes. Very swift removal, no accidental damage and friendly staff! I will happily be back with any additional glass needs in the future! read more

Extremely responsive professionals who we used to replace a broken shower door. In the span of 1 week, they (1) provided an accurate estimate/quote; (2) came to my house to do measurements and confirm the quote; and (3) and returned to complete the installation (better than the original). Highly recommend Rick and his team! read more

Fisher Glass did a perfect custom job! Glad they were so responsive on Yelp. Gave a competitive quote and came out quickly to measure a glass top for a new oval dining table. Not an easy size! But a week later they returned with a high quality table top and placed it - perfectly cut. Thank you! read more

A shout out to Jake for installing my frameless sliding shower doors. Great communication, paired with amazing final results. Thank you!

They did an excellent job of replacing my 23-year-old shower door enclosure. The new product looks great. It was quick and done on time

The recent storms broke through some of the windows at the back of our house. We had water pouring into our dining area. A neighbor recommended we call these guys and they were amazing! Came out the very next day, checked all the windows at the back of our house - not just the ones that were leaking, and resealed where needed. Extremely professional from the first point of contact to the work in my home. They were respectful, polite, and very thorough - communication and follow up was all excellent. Would highly recommend and will not hesitate to call on them again should we ever need to. read more

The Fisher crew were on-time, professional and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone

My shower door had a bad hinge, so I went online but was having trouble finding a repair place for just replacing a hinge on a job they hadn't originally installed. Whew, do I feel fortunate to have found Fisher Glass! Very professional, eager to help. They asked me to send a photo of the hinges with a tape measure showing the dimensions (so they could arrive with the proper pieces.) Within a few days they receive part & promptly made arrangements to come to my home. The 2 of them quickly took care of the job. They saved the day! They showed me the hinge, which was so corroded it could have failed at any time, hurting someone. With such a wonderful experience I highly recommend Fisher Glass. read more

Fisher Glass just replaced the glass in 15 of the windows in our home and we couldn't be happier! One of the large windows was a challenge as it was on the second story directly over the pool. No problem! They built a platform across the pool, and scaffolding on the platform, to get that huge piece of glass installed. After they left we saw one little scratch in a window and they replaced it right away. No questions asked. They really took the time to be sure the tint on each window matched the others surrounding it, which the other company we consulted didn't even bother to do, and the tempered large windows are fantastic. The windows look brand new again! Thank you, Fisher Glass! read more

Fischer glass did a repair on our shower door. We are really grateful they came out for our smaller job. We also got quotes on some other things but they are out of our budget for then moment (no fault of Fischer-their quotes we're right in the ballpark of others). Friendly, courteous and respectful. Came on time, did not reschedule like many tend to do lately. read more

I needed someone to install a beautiful sliding glass shower door that my mom bought at Costco. Of course Costco doesn't a list of Contractors that can do it. So I searched Home Advisor and Fisher Glass, Inc (Rick) contacted me the next day. I explained my problem and he said he'd installed many shower doors sold by Costco. We picked the installation date and time. Rick and Marco arrived at the agreed to scheduled time. They took the shower doors out of box and began the installation. They finished in two hours and it looks and operates beautifully. My mom couldn't be happier with the shower door and Rick/Marco's work. Great job!! read more

My first Yelp review in a very long time will be say what a great experience I had with these folks. Our sliding glass door was accidentally broken by a gardener. Got an appointment to measure the door shortly after my call. Once I agreed to the estimate they ordered the replacement panel and promptly called me to schedule installation when it was due in. All this was the mark of a competent company, but what really made the difference was the installation. Rick not only got the job done efficiently and cleanly, he spent some extra time getting our screen door to run right and helped secure the loose door handle on it. Definitely exceeded expectations! read more

What an amazing experience right off the bat. A representative came over the day I called and measured the shower for a custom glass door. I conducted research with several companies. The latest company (Nob--) was an hour late, did not inform me, did not forward any written estimates, and their cost $110 MORE than I actually paid. I found Fisher Glass Inc. on Yelp. I spoke with Brandi (Fisher Glass office supervisor) was very informative. She provided Yelp updates, emailed the estimate and promptly set a schedule for the repairs. She even had the had the courtesy to call me when their were 15 minutes late. Rick (the owner) was very good. Conscious, mindful, hard working .. I Highly recommend hiring Fisher Glass for your next home window repair. Rick was actually "running" .. back and forth to his truck! He had all the needed materials, was very careful in his work and was explaining everything he was doing, during the repair. My neighbor actually hired that Nob-- company and had a problem with the company's quality. I gave my neighbor Fisher Glass contact information, for their next job.
