Very shoddy work, dangerous to let this company build anything that needs to be safe and good quality. Had him expand our balcony into an upstairs deck. Many mistakes, started leaking within 1 year, anyone coming to take a look for potential repairs can identify within10 seconds that the deck being flush with the wall is faulty waterproofing. And this company issupposed to specializeinwaterproofing!!! Moreover, cut corners everywhere and did not take care to coat the wooden rails for an out door deck and just spray painted them. All wooden rails and posts are absorbing water and are rotting and warping. Has led to water intrusion all along the wall damaging wooden frames of doors and windows downstairs. He came to my place to check a waterproofing leak issue. Initially he was nice and was explaining the issue. Then I asked him if he can fix the sloping issue because someone had told me there it was concrete and we could not put concrete on top. it was just a simple question and he simply walked out. I was confused what happened and I called him but he just unheard and kept walking and left. Very unprofessional behavior. people usually talk and explain, and discuss, but he just walked out leaving me clueless as to what happened. read more

Had the owner Chris come out for a bid (at the recommendation of a co-worker). I did not screen further on reviews, however. In retrospect that would have been a great idea. The initial meeting went well and a verbal quote for redoing the railing as well as resurfacing the deck was made. Easy Peezy. I just waited on the written quote via email after I sent my contact information. And yet it never came. I emailed and texted follow up and was assured that it would be sent shortly. I returned from my two week trip and sent a brief text for follow up. The response was that Chris never sent the quote because he wasn't planning on doing the work. Just weird. read more

In the last few weeks I contacted several places to repair my roof deck and most would not even give me a bid. But Chris of Delphi Construction had the most reasonable solutions to my problem. He explained what he was going to do and wrote up the contract later that day. He was there working on the repair the very next day. He worked all day, every day, completing the job quickly. He explained to me what he was doing as he worked on the process. He even noticed a tripping hazard at my garage and fixed it beautifully without charging me for it. I needed to replace a very large 30-year-old giant wood beam as part of my patio cover - it was 6" x 8" 17 foot long, heavy and damaged. Chris said he could replace it quickly - in one day. He did everything he said he would and did it on time, including painting the primer and then the final coat of paint on the new beam. Now I have a beautiful-looking patio cover again that is safe. We had an outdoor stair leak that damaged our ceiling. Other contractors wanted to redo the whole staircase and railing for $64,000. Chris gave me a repair that I am confident in for $4000. He even came back and textured the surface when we noticed it was slightly slippery. Talk about above and beyond! It's not a new roof but I think it'll give us 5-10 years with some maintenance. I can't say enough good things about him. As others have noted he has some stories. I've found that contractors come in two varieties surly and unpleasant or talkative. He's the later. He seems to really like people and doing a great job without padding the bill. You'd better believe I'll use him for every project that I can! read more

Never again. He himself was the messiest constructor working on my home as if it was new construction. Spreading deck resurfacing mud on all windows and doors, very old plants, my car bumper, two hose bibs, and personal gardening equipment. Maybe he's better with wood working but resurfacing decks is not his forte. Works too fast and misses terribly on cleanup. read more

Chris did an outstanding job building our new waterproof deck with glass railing. He is a true professional and has built us a solid structure that will last forever. He tore down our old rotting deck and put a new one in its place, complete with LED lighting and a ceiling underneath. He's also very handy in our other specialty projects that have come up! This guy has no respect for others whatsoever. I witnessed him expressing extreme road rage at someone (who was driving normally, mind you) while driving a few weeks back. I cannot imagine anyone doing business with someone as unprofessional and with as horrible of an attitude as him. Judging by many other reviews, he seems to exhibit extreme erratic behavior coupled with anger/insecurity issues. We had damage on our balcony that was causing a leak into our living room and for weeks I could not get anybody out to help me I called several contractors with no response or they just wouldn't follow through with the job. Discovered my supporting posts for an upper deck were badly rotted out (about 2/3 gone at the base on one post). The posts carried from the ground all the way though to the top of the upper deck rail. There is also a trellis that connects to it with mature vines. Called Chris at Delphi and he was out in less than an hour to take a look. Quoted it on the spot and got to work the next morning at 8am. Removed and replaced both posts, repainted, fixed the tile had to be damaged during the removal on the upper deck, fixed the upper deck rail that had to be taken down then reattached to new post, and put everything back like it had never happened in 2.5 days. Even got the new post back through the vine (see photo). Price was fair, work was well done, process was quick and painless. Definitely recommend for any deck work you need. read more

He came in just a touch above our budget, but we loved the ideas he had so went with Delphi. As with most projects, the 2 week estimated completion turned into 4 (couple rain delays in there) but that's pretty reasonable. Extremely disappointed with Chris and his professionalism. Set up an appointment for him to come by to review the work we needed to have done to then work on an estimate. When the appointment came around he was no where to be found. I called him 10 minutes later and he had forgotten about it so we rescheduled for later in the day. He did a walk through and everything seemed fine, he would have a quote out to me in a couple of days. I tried to get in touch with him after a couple of days had passed via phone leaving voicemails and text but had no luck. I just spoke to him a week later regarding the status of the quote and he swears that he sent me an email saying that he will not provide me a quote as I am not the homeowner (I work in my bosses house where we needed the work done) and then hung up. He NEVER mentioned this when at the walkthrough and I did not even get the email he supposedly sent me last night. I could have easily given him my bosses email to send a quote to but he hung up on me. VERY unprofessional and definitely not worth wasting your time on. There are plenty of other contractors around town and I suggest you check them out instead as this seems like something Chris does time and time again by reading the other negative reviews!!
