I'm writing this review as the installers from Pelican are removing my old, louvered windows (1 x kitchen, 1 x bathroom, and 4 x loft) and replacing them with Milgard V250 Style Line® Series replacements. First - I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the way Pelican handled the scheduling of the install - or rather, bungled. The crew arrived at my home this morning just after 8:00 am with no warning at all. Surprise! It turns out their scheduler sent an email July 18 with notice of intent to install to a fancifully incorrect email address. And, when they received no response from me (and why would they?), no one at Pelican deemed it prudent to follow up with a phone call. Fire and forget? 2 stars. The process to set this up was painless. Their sales/frontman (Isael) paid 2 visits, took careful measurements, explained my options and was a total professional. Not the least bit pushy. 5 stars. OK - on to the install. In a word - slick. The 3-man crew was efficient and from what I can tell (pics attached) did a very nice job removing the old, and installing the new. Again, very professional and respectful of my home, its contents, and my time. No fuss, no muss. The whole process for 6 windows was over and done in 4 hours. Again, 5 stars. The end result - no more drafty louvered windows, replaced with energy efficient, double glazed, argon gas filled windows. We hired Pelican Windows to replace approximately eight older windows in the home. After the installation, we noticed the glass in the new windows was significantly darker than the remaining windows in the house. To create a consistent appearance, the owner of the company suggested replacing several additional windows so they would all match. It is important to note that the original windows were functioning properly; the additional replacements were done strictly for aesthetic purposes. Shortly after the work was completed, we experienced a rainstorm and discovered that every one of the newly installed windows leaked. Prior to this installation, the home had never experienced any window leaks. We immediately contacted the owner of Pelican Windows and asked him to inspect the issue. During his visit, he looked at the windows and stated that it was simply a coincidence that all of the newly installed windows were leaking. We find this explanation unacceptable. The leaks began only after the installation of the new windows, and it is highly unlikely that multiple windows would suddenly begin leaking at the same time purely by coincidence. The issue appears directly related to the installation. At this time, the matter remains unresolved, and we are seeking a proper inspection and repair of the installation defects. We expect the company to take responsibility and correct the problem. read more

I cannot saw enough good about Pelican, its owner and its staff. A few years ago, Pelican replaced two upstairs fixed windows with operable casement windows. The installation was quick, neat and attractive. About a month or two later, some of the insultation foam started to ooze out. Pelican responded immediately and remedied the problem. Based on this experience, I contracted with Pelican earlier this year to replace the remainder of my windows and all my sliding doors. The contracting process was smooth and the windows were ready in about four weeks. When it came time to install, Pelican arrived on time with four people. Every day of the installation (six total), there were at least four workers present. As before, they were neat, efficient and quick. Evan Wright, the owner, stopped by three times to make sure work was progressing appropriately. He even spent most of one day at the house supervision installation of a segmented kitchen bay window, which was tricky given the design and the existing granite countertop. While all of the crew members were great, Jorge, the boss was wonderful. He made sure to solicit our input as needed and kept us fully advised. I used this company in January to install 5 windows and 2 sliders (sliding glass doors). They did a super job installing the windows and sliders but had to schedule coming back at a later date as they couldn't put the interior molding on the sliders until after the floor contractor finished the floors. In late February, they sent Eli (who also goes by the name Nano) to do the finished work. If I could give him 10 stars I would. On 9-30-25, Armando and Jesus from Pelican windows arrived on time with the 10 window panels, (glass only) ordered. It is very hard nowadays to find good, reliable and capable construction workers. These two gentlemen performed their work in a very professional manner. No phone calls, no looking at their phones and no standing around talking just keeping busy doing their job. I know because I watched 80% of the work that was completed. I have 50+ yrs in the construction industry and would call their work "Old School". He was super professional, spending half an hour and answering all my questions. They also supported us through the HOA approval process by answering all the board's questions. We opted for the most energy efficient windows with a noise reduction package and couldn't be happier, the temp in our southwest facing bedroom is significantly lower in the full sun and the highway noise is also nicely reduced. I had Pelican replace all my old windows in 2016 and they did a great job at a very good price. Currently I am replacing the surrounding paneling and wood trim around the 2 rather large front windows. In doing so I destroyed the vinyl trim around the windows by trying to remove the caulking from the trim. I thought I was "screwed" however I gave Pelican a call and Jose from Pelican came out and did a remarkable job on fixing my mistake. I would highly recommend them. read more

Of the six companies we interviewed, Pelican saved us over $3,000 compared to the same Milgard fiberglass doors others were offering. We had Pelican Windows replace all the windows in our home in 2021 after a car crashed into our living room. We chose Simonton Windows rather than Milgard because Simonton's warranty was better and will carry to a new owner if we ever sell our house. Evan and his team were very professional and took extra care to make sure everything went smoothly. Because the wall the car crashed into had to be rebuilt but we wanted it to match the other windows, they had to customize that 10' window. Worked out perfectly. When the window screens didn't quite fit correctly in two of the 11 windows, Evan replaced all the screens with an upgrade that solved the problem. This month, 3 years later, one of our other 10' windows cracked on the outside. I have to say how easy-peasy the replacement process was. One phone call to Pelican Windows took care of everything. They did ask me to email a photo of the window showing the crack but other than that, they took care of everything. The crew showed up this week, replaced the window and left with no fuss, no muss. Pelican replaced our old windows about 8 years ago. One of the windows recently started leaking in a big rain storm. I called Pelican up and they sent their "fix it" guy to inspect the issue. I was ready to purchase a new window but all it needed was new caulking outside. Pelican was honest up front and did the caulking for us. Yelp don't fail me now! It's one thing to choose a taco shop from Yelp, but a whole other thing to choose who to give ~$9,000 to. I got quotes from three windows companies I found on Yelp. Read hours of reviews. I had a great experience from start to finish. Also as a broke ass first time homeowner I hesitantly decided to go with the low bidder (Pelican) but have no regrets. They were about 15% to 20% less than the other two quotes. Isael measured, gave us a quote, said the windows would be here in 6-8 weeks, and they were. UPDATE: As you can see from the business owner's response this IS NOT a service-oriented company. With my constructive criticism, I gave him an opportunity to improve his business and learn something. Instead of appreciating that, he felt it would be a good idea to go on the offensive. This should tell you all you need to know about what your experience with them might be like. I have a window that wasn't measured correctly by another contractor. It's taken months and that other contractor hasn't resolved it. I spoke to Marcy at Pelican. She was happy to tell me all that they wouldn't or couldn't do. She seemed completely disinterested in my problems as a customer. She was only interested in telling me how they work and what they will and won't do. Business people like this don't understand the value of being accommodating. Even if you can't or won't take on a new customer's job, showing interest in their problem and helping them solve it goes a long way to show goodwill and earning future business. We live in a sixty-year-old home with 40-year-old windows. Many of my neighbors need window replacement. This company floods our mailbox on a regular basis with offers. They won't be getting new business or recommendations from me. I had one simple request, can they come out, measure our window and ensure that it will fit correctly as the first contractor didn't do it right? We moved into our house that needs quite a bit of updating, this includes the windows. When my husband called a few places to get quotes for the windows, some people came to just sell to him and told him to act fast on deals that they were having. For us, it's too salesy and frustrating because they don't really care about our long-term concerns. We went with Pelican Replacement Windows because when they came in to give us a quote for our Kitchen window and new sliding door, they told us their concerns and when we should have the door done (before or after our new tiles), they told us that they would prefer before so that they don't scratch our new tiles. We really appreciated that! The door took 3 weeks to order so it was a bit frustrating because I wanted our floors put in as soon as possible, but in the end, I'm grateful we did because our floors are not scratched up. Also, Pelican said it would take 2 days to do our window and door but it was more of a day. We appreciated them giving themselves more time to do it right so we can expect it. What a great experience! We do property management so we know good from bad vendors. These guys are top notch. We replaced all the windows at our home. Tim the owner is great and was so helpful. He made extremely valuable recommendations on specific windows to reduce noise and make sure we would be up to code. They were also super flexible with our remodeling schedule and came back in two separate trips (per my request) to make sure we can get the remodeling / window install to fit our needs. The installation was exceptional and they even came back to fix a couple screens that had small rips from the manufacturer. Great great experience. We set up an appt and Isael was on time and wearing a mask. He was very friendly and seemed to know what he was talking about. After we got our third bid from a different company, we came to realize that Isael had no intention of telling us that the window brand that we chose did not meet the fire code / egress in the space where it would be installed, but planned to order and install it, anyway. Hubs and I took a while to discuss this and Issael came back out to show us that the window frames of that brand would be about 7" wide in the middle of the window. We decided to move forward and about 3 days later, he told us that when he went to order it, he realized that it still would not meet egress and we would have to go with a different brand. We discussed AGAIN, got back to Isael AGAIN, and decided to proceed with the other brand. He said that once we placed our order, it would be about 4-5 weeks to deliver and maybe 2-3 weeks more to install. I placed the new order on December 14 and asked him to confirm the total. After going with a CHEAPER window, the total he is now quoting is $242 MORE than the most expensive line item on his quote (he provided totals for both window types on the quote). In addition, he got back to me on December 29 (2 weeks after I placed my order) and alluded that he never ordered our window and literally wrote "I recommend you get more quotes if you think the price is too high. Also our install dates are in March you might find someone cheaper and sooner. Good luck with your project." We expected that he had placed the order already and our window would be installed by mid-February and his most recent email sounds like he not only did NOT order our window, but has no intention of working with us. What the heck kind of sales guy is he? I am extremely frustrated and upset because he originally came out September 23 and we tried to place an order September 28. Due to his lack of communication about egress, I lost three months on this project. I could have a window installed already if he had been forthcoming with the information or I had gone with a more honest company. I will not use this company. read more
