I thought I had come to the right place. It was a toss up between The Screen Lady and 2 other small independently owned companies. I went with the Screen Lady, appreciated that it advertised as woman owned, and also loved seeing the dogs out in the field with the owner or workers. Communication was great in the beginning and the appointment went well. The problem was after the new screen with dog door was installed, they took my old screen away and left. Screen was installed in the afternoon on July 7th- I contacted them in the morning on July 8th informing them my dogs peed on my new carpet and could not get out the door as it was was to heavy. I got a response right away indicating- oh no, let me see what I can do. Nobody contacted me. I called and again sent additional text messages, finally July 11th I get a response that Nhorma said the dogs can use the doors but it will take training, and time. That lots of clients had to work with the dogs and provide lots of training and hot dogs- Dear all of you at the Screen Lady- If that's the case, you should provide this A DISCLOSURE with this information upfront and be specific. If you know this, pass it on. This is super important to know for anyone purchasing one of your doors. Additionaly, it is now September 10th, 2 months later and the trainer I worked with agreed the material is too heavy and my dogs still can't use the doors. I am out not only the $650 plus for the screen but also $220 for the new area rug that was ruined by my dogs peeing on it. Understandably, I am disappointed and regretful. The Screen Lady was organized from the time I contacted them via email for an estimate to the time the worker arrived to our home. The estimate was a good price and they called me the day before the appointment just to re-confirm the date and time again. Prior to contacting the "screen lady", I took photos of all the screens and the screen slider doors and emailed the photos to them so they got a good idea of what the job entailed. As for the work, the job was done well and in a reasonable amount of time. The worker was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered any questions and asked me if there was anything else he can do. Contacted The Screen Lady to request a quote on replacing our screen door after our two crazy dogs destroyed our current screen. They were quick to respond and offered very reasonable prices.
