A few years ago, Brad replace the wheels and installed a pet quality screen material of a 5 foot screen, to a 10 foot sliding glass door. Based on my excellent experience with Brad, I called him again when my tenant's large dog ran through and bent the frame of my metal screen door that he previously fixed. He promptly ordered a 5' screen kit and came by the next week to build a screen in my backyard. He came with his truck and his trailer which has a flat area to build the screen in the driveway. It took some time and accurate measuring but when I came back from doing my errands, I had a beautiful brand new frame and pet screen on my 1979 ten foot sliding glass door. It's solid, it's smooth, and it looks better than it did when it was new. Brad stayed until it was perfect. He quoted me a price and that's what I paid. He was pleasant to be around, a stickler for details, and I'm so happy I hired him once again. If you have any kind of screen difficulties, Brad is your man. He's been doing this for 13 years and he's a pro. Brad's screen door replacement was hundreds less than what Lowe's and Home Depot was going to charge me.They also wanted me to pay for delivery of $79! If I could give less than one star I would this guy is completely unreliable. I set up an appointment for a Tuesday he called me at 7:30 PM said that he couldn't make it and wanted to come the following day in the morning did not show up until 3:30 in the afternoon with no call ahead did half the job left with all of my frames returned three days later with half of them and have not heard from him since. Please do not call this guy he will take your money take your property and then harass you and make you feel like it's your fault that he's a flake. The absolute worst experience I have ever had with a tradesman. I called Brad and he asked how many windows needed screens. The whole house is the correct answer but he said if I gave him the rough number and the rough size while we were on the phone, he'd give me a quote. So while we were talking I took a tape measure and gave him the size of the largest majority of windows and the the number of obviously smaller ones. He gave me a quote and as usual, I told him I'd call back if I was going to go ahead with the job. I did my usual due-diligence and called 2 other screen companies. I was blown away at how much less Brad was asking, and because I only choose contractors on Yelp who are over 4.5 stars, I scheduled an appointment. This guy showed up on time and was fast and thorough. When he got to my patio door he said the door really should be replaced as it was shot and re-screening would be about the same as a new door. He said Home Depot carries that size and since I have a HD close by, I got one from them while he was working on the other screens. When we brought the door in, he unpacked it and installed it then adjusted it. I offered him more $$ for doing it but he turned it down. Then he told me if I cleaned the tracks of the windows they'd work a lot better. I started cleaning the black track on the patio door he installed and found that the track was not black as I thought, it was silver! When I finished (it took me over an hour just for the patio door/screen door), the doors worked like new! Needless to say, my house looks terrific and Brad went above and beyond, and his tip made my house work better. He's in my permanent collection of fantastic contractors.
