Our garage is detached, so we could not lock our old patio doors, meaning if we wanted to use our garage, we either had to leave the house unlocked or walk around the block to our front door. We were told by all the other contractors that our doorway was a weird size, and that they were unable to install the doors without cutting into our drywall and stucco and removing our patio stairs. We were also told this would be a project that took multiple days. I posted our other quotes to Yelp to see if other contractors could beat it, and Sivan responded. Oded from Sivan came in and confirmed what I suspected: That what we were told by other contractors was wrong, and that they could easily replace our sliding patio doors with French doors with a lock, and that it could be done via retrofitting and would only take a matter of hours. Everyone at Sivan was easy to work with. My husband and I frequently have meetings during the day, so it's hard to have a call about house stuff. Everyone at Sivan was able to communicate via e-mail and text so we could handle things while in meetings, and they were super responsive even though we sometimes took months to respond because we had a baby since we originally reached out to them. We were able to get our doors done for $4,298.80, which was the best quote we had from any contractor and included labor, materials, and a warranty. In sum, we highly recommend Sivan if you are looking to replace your doors!

Everyone was very communicative throughout the process. Ayala, in particular, was on top of everything and offered helpful advice--not only on the look of the windows but also on ways to save money. I wish more contracting companies operated with the same level of communication and professionalism!

His price was far below the competition -- some other quotes I received were four times higher for the same work. I needed a door re-hung to swing outward instead of inward. Jordan handled the job cleanly, patched the original side, and painted it. The door works exactly as needed. While he was here I mentioned my front door was badly out of alignment and my smart lock could not function reliably because of it. He diagnosed and fixed it fast -- the door now latches perfectly every single time without any adjustment needed. Responsive, reasonably priced, quality work, and fast. 10/10 -- Peters is my first call for anything involving doors or windows.

We felt like we were not able to diy this job and Nick and Max had a reasonable price for the work and didn't make us feel bad that it was above our skills. Nick communicated with us through text and kept us informed during the whole time he was scheduling and working on the job. They were tidy during the work and respectful of our kitchen tile. Nick even offered to take our old disposal and dispose of it. They left our kitchen very clean after their work. Nick said if our disposal leaked to contact him and they would come back and fix the leak as part of the job. It did leak and they came back the very next day, added some stuff they picked up on their way to our house and took the whole thing out and reinstalled. It has not leaked since they were last here. We were very impressed with their expertise and customer service and are going to have them do some more jobs at our vintage home. It has been challenging for us to find reliable and reasonable handyman services and are grateful for Sam's Handyman Services with Nick and Max.

That uniform bevel was the main reason we selected Western instead of Fleetwood. After delivery, we were finally informed that "nothing can be done," that differing stops between operable and non-operable windows is "normal for the 8000 series," and that the mismatch is essentially our fault. Side by side, they do not appear to belong to the same product family (see attached photos). Everyone involved assumed this was a production error, from us and our general contractor to the dealer and even the sales rep. This has been an extremely disappointing experience. No one, not the showroom representative, not the dealer, not Western's order desk, warned us that the new line lacks matching profiles between fixed and operable units. As a matter of fact, nobody seemed to be aware of it. After spending tens of thousands of dollars, we already regret choosing Western before a single window was installed. It has already been made clear to us that Western does not care about our situation and does not intend to fix the issue. So unless the company re-examines its design, order review process, and customer communication, we will feel obligated to share our story frankly so prospective buyers researching Western products won't have to go through the same disheartening experience. From initial excitement to deep disappointment, future customers deserve to know what we were never told. Update: I contacted Western's leadership, they didn't care, didn't even reply. The windows have a lot of defects, some are bowed and it's a bit let down.
