Under new ownership. John is long gone.. Summertime means hot summer nights and mosquitoes. I decided it was time to replace nine of our original house screens that were basically broken down and allowed flying insects into the house. We also needed a new "cat proof" patio screen door. Alex was our installer and precisely measured all nine of our windows that needed new screens. He was very polite and professional. A quote via email came a few days later from "John". Note that John was a previous owner so the identity of the person you communicate with via email is unknown. I NOTICED a typo for one of the windows being ordered and notified "John" via email that there was an error. "John" denied there was an ordering issue but in the event there was an error his team would fix it for no additional cost. - Wow, isn't that nice of them. Installation was a few week later because we had a custom screen order. And surprise surprise the mistake I originally noted from the quote had to be fixed and redone. So, had to wait another week for a new one to be built.. This is a small business and you'll have to deal with little issues like I had. But in the end you'll get perfectly fit screen windows and doors. Alex the installer did a great job. Great service, excellent quality product. Durable! About 8 months ago, I contacted John's screen service to inquire about replacing most of the screens on my 1 story ranch-style house. Between the year of WFH due to COVID, pets, plus usual wear and tear, several had holes, and the plastic framed screens that came with windows were brittle and starting to crack. The team came out, measured everything, and were able to replace all with tightly fitting high quality screens. I then asked for them to measure doors, and they custom made two screen doors for my sliders. Finally, happy with the work, I asked for a screen for my front door, and they did that as well. Arthur is amazing! We called in John's (because we have seen their truck in the area for decades), and Arthur set us up with two beautiful, functioning new screens for our sliders, and adjusted both of our sliders so they work and lock properly. Why do we struggle for years with doors that don't work right, and crappy replacement screens that don't fit our doors right from the big box store, when for a little more money you can get custom everything, done right? I dropped off 23 damaged window screens for a project I am working on. Daniel was very helpful and informative presenting me with some great options. The damaged screens had plastic corners that were deteriorating in the sun. Daniel built new screens with all aluminum pull tabs, mitred corners, and squared frames without wrinkles or pulls in the screen. After the screens were installed, the project looks amazing. I needed a particular security door that was approved by our HOA. After coming out and measuring the door they found out it was not available from the distributor. They kept me informed so I didn't have to call them wondering why it was taking longer than first discussed, refunded my money and were professional throughout the experience. Mixed review here. Great looking front double door screen product as well as a nice looking doggie door screen. Problem was with the install process. Steve is a super nice guy but had install issues with both the double doors and the doggie door screens. Doggie door screen required cotter pins to be drilled into door jam from he outside so that we could be outside and still have the dogs go in and out. This screen came with only an inside lock. This made it not possible to lock the screen for the dogs to go in and out while we were outside. In the unlocked position every time the dogs would use the sliding doggie screen door, the screen would slide, scaring the dogs. The cotter pins were needed to be drilled on the outside in order to secure the door and keep the sliding screen door from moving when they used it. Steve missed drilled the hole and put s hole through the side of the jam, marring it. He tried to put some kind of filler in it, but it looks crummy. As for the front double screens. The locking pons for the top was not properly drilled and I had to bring it to his attention that the hole was not right. He filled in the hole and drilled another one but the patching he did was really rough. I have to now sand it, prime it and then paint it. The filler is pinkish and the door is dark brown. Steve could have cleaned up better as I found numerous steel shards/slivers on the ground as a result of him drilling holes through the steel threshold. My dogs walk in that area frequently and their paws would have been punctured by the shards. Steve had to return to do a minor adjustment to double the doors as they shook whenever a breeze came up. He came soon after I noticed the rattling noise and he fixed the problem. read more

Steve was on time to all appointments, he was nice to our dogs, very honest and fair in his pricing, and he installed one heck of a screen door with a beautiful doggy door that works perfectly for our needs. What started out by me to be a simple DIY project, turned in to a nightmare, that is until I contacted John's Screen Service. Steve came out to look at my patio sliding screen door need and assured me that John's could help me. Turns out that the opening for my sliding door assembly, over time had become out of square, which is not so uncommon Steve informed me. John's provided a new screen door, and begin the install. After numerous adjustments to the opening of my sliding glass door opening and a couple of adjustments to the screen door frame itself, my new sliding screen door was opening and closing as John's had promised. I must emphasize that Steve worked his butt off on this job, underneath the mid-day sun, pulling out many tricks he has accumulated over years of experience in this business.. Two patio screen doors, one new screen backdoor, three screen replacements. All perfect tight fits and look great. The previous homeowner was a DIY kind of guy. Home Depot his favorite place to buy everything. And everything was Junk that we replaced with professionally made products. For those that have no sense and believe you get good stuff at Home Depot or Lowes, you have no idea what true quality is all about. Looking at the stuff installed makes me know why my fathers rule was never do a job, when a professional is available that knows what they are doing.
