He helped us arrive at a suitable energy-efficient Simonton models to replace 5 of our windows at a reasonable price. He also measured all the windows to be replaced and promptly provided a written quote. Three of our replacements were for original 30+ year-old single-hung windows which were no longer functional because their balances had failed. The replacement Simonton windows have a better design that obviates the need for such balances, which was of added value to me! The total window order, measured and made to order, was received by JWG within 3 weeks and installed within 1 week. JWG Windows arrived just minutes before the scheduled time for installation. We were fortunate to have a second installation crew (Alex and Ricky) join the first crew (EJ and Cody) during the installation process, which allowed the entire job to be done within 2.5 hours. These two teams operated smoothly together in good spirits, were respectful of our property (using drop cloths in each work area) and cleaned up the work areas. After they were installed, EJ demonstrated the windows' operating features, provided me with the manufacturer's warranty and answered my questions. I reached out to a few vendors, and Coughlin was by far the most helpful and informative. The whole process went smoothly, Kevin was very friendly and easy to work with; he provided the most information on what type of windows to get for our situation. He was very responsive and answered any questions we had. They also had very reasonable prices and detailed quotes. My husband told me on the day of installation, they were punctual, efficient and completed the window replacements on time. We got Simonton laminated double paned windows, and although they haven't blocked out as much sound as I hoped, they actually help a good deal with lowering hot temperatures in that room in the summer. On a prior arranged date, Dave arrived on time, gave us estimate as how long the job will take. My boss is always hates the noise, so we left and after three hours the job was done to our satisfaction. Dave was courteous, and did a great job (thank you, Dave). One thing should be improved is the communications with the customers. First we have to wait for the quote (I had to ask Mike,where it's), then after sending deposit almost a week past, still we don't know status, again text to Mike, now we know the reason and when it will be done. Otherwise we recommend J & H, local small business, but please keep customers in the loop.
