I normally order my food online and go pick it up during lunch time so I never have had an issue. Their food is so freaking good and I especially love their bread, it's so soft and chewy to me. I love getting their peppers too. I don't think this was the best option though for vegetarians. They don't put in a lot of veggies in that sandwich, so I remember being very unsatisfied. So I will start off by just saying that I have been to many of the Potbelly locations as I am a huge fan of their sandwiches... This location I have to say is one of my favorites for the following reasons: 1. It is always busy during the lunch hours but this has never compromised their food or service quality. I always get the Wreck which they figured out only after my 3rd visit in which I felt like a VIP when I was greeted with a smile asking if I would like my usual. 2. As I said, I always get the Wreck with everything minus tomatoes and peppers (one of these days I will try it with peppers). It has never disappointed and at this location even if it is slammed, I know it will be delish. 3. If the weather permits, I love people and car watching on the patio as the parking lot usually provides some sort of entertainment as people be going cray cray over parking spots! Plus the outdoor speakers provide the music coming from the great acoustic sounds from the gentleman playing inside. I really love good sandwiches, and one of my favorite things about Potbelly is they have hot peppers. This is a northern thing, and while I was born and raised in the south, this is something I'm very glad has been imported. Grabbing a skinny turkey sandwich and adding hot peppers means you get the most delicious sandwich! I love that all of their ingredients taste fresh, their portion sizes match what you pay, and they handle the lunch rush of Las Colinas with grace! After many saucy encounters, Potbelly has finally won my heart, and a 5 star rating. A few things: 1. Order the WRECK or ITALIAN 2. Get MAYO and OIL (yes, both! The sandwich must be soaking for the full potbelly experience) 3. Add HOT PEPPERS (another must!) 4. For dessert split an ICE CREAM COOKIE SANDWICH (or if you are a glutton for punishment and try to eat the whole thing yourself, make sure one of your friends is CPR certified). Very friendly & efficient staff. Food was fresh, quick and very tasty. Colder than normal in Dallas for early November so Chili sounded really good and I'm glad I went to Potbelly Sandwich Shop for lunch. It does have beans but not too many. (Does real Texas chili have beans?) It was a little sweet. I also had a hot toasted 'pizza' sandwich which was a nice balance between the bread and volume of filling. I don't drink sodas much so I usually drink water. The one suggestion I would have is to provide a decent sized glass for water. A small 6 or 8 oz flimsy glass is disappointing. I'm sure they do it for those who order water but then fill up their glass with soda or other drink because they don't want to pay for the drink. I passed up the fresh baked cookies which was hard because I know how awesome they are! If you want to treat clients or employees to a special treat? The food is pretty good, but unfortunately the customer service is lacking. I went inside to order a sandwich for my husband. He reviewed the Potbelly website beforehand and told me he wanted the sandwich exactly as it comes - no customization. I ordered and specified that I wanted the sandwich how it is normally prepared. The lady behind the counter asked me what kind of bread I wanted, and I again asked that the sandwich be made as normal. She ignored me and asked what kind of bread I wanted again. She was rude and told me I needed to figure it out and there is no "normal." I understand that most people will customize their meal, but the website's menu has each sandwich with all of the toppings, etc. that come with it... You have to get the Chicken Salad Sandwich with EVERYTHING... and don't kid yourself.. you know you want the White bread... just do it... and none of that Skinny stuff either. I've been here three times and the people behind the counter have been excessively (even a bit mysteriously) friendly every time. I'm not complaining, but whatever they put in their sandwiches is working for them. As far as the chains go, this is a top-of-the-line of submarine sandwich joint. It's not quite excellent, but it's way above the Subway quality. If you're in a pinch for a sandwich fast, this is an excellent choice. Essentially, this is the same business model as Subway, Quizno's, etc etc. Order your sandwich, grab a bag of chips, select your drink, etc. Except here everything is much higher quality; the drink selection is better, the chips are gourmet quality (sea salted), etc. These sandwiches are automatically toasted as well. I asked for a vegetarian sandwich with all veggies. After returning back to office , to my surprise I discovered that the sandwich had meat in it!!! I am a pure vegetarian and this was huge!! I went back and reported it. Manager said that person preparing it assumed chiken salad!! Though he prepared a new one and took charges off, I do not think that people there understood what a huge thing it meant to me. I looooove this place. After a study session with my sister at the B&N cafe, I always come here for lunch. Way better than Subway, and for a decent price. I always get the Italian, less oil and no mayo with extra extra EXTRA hot peppers. The staff's usually friendly or at the very least courteous. I've never had a bad experience here. What was the point of downloading it. Then began my bad experience. The gyro skinny I would not recommend for 2 reason. The price for sandwich and soup with no drink over $11.dollars. If you like salty then its the sandwich for you. I should of known better to get a gyro sandwich but it was there special of the month so I assumed fresh. RUDE!!!! AWFUL STAFF TONIGHT!! Today is Thursday June 16, 2016. I left your shop at 7:55pm. I had THE WORST EXPERIENCE with your staff. In paticular one girl who was RUDE AND ANGRY and treated my boyfriend and I like we pissed on her shoe. Never have we EVER been treated like this. And never at your shop (I go to your Pot Belly on a regular basis). She basically grunted throughout our ordering. Then got pissy with us and TOSSED my salad into my bag (after I had said I was eating there). Then when I reached to get the fork she holding in front of me, she AGAIN tossed it into my bag. My boyfriend forgot his phone at the counter and when I went to retrieve it, she was holding in front of me and I got the impression she wanted to toss that to me as well and gave me a rude expression. When I asked her name she SHOOK HER HEAD. The other girl didn't step in, she just stood there. I asked again, and AGAIN SHE SHOOK HER HEAD. She REFUSED TO GIVE ME HER NAME!! THEN WE ARGUED. She was ARUGING WITH ME IN FRONT OF ANOTHER CUSTOMER! I told her she was being rude and unprofessional, and she TOLD ME I WAS THE ONE BEING RUDE. When I stated I was going to call the manager she just SHRUGGED as if saying "so what". I called as soon as we left and I know she answered and I again I asked who I was speaking with and she says to me "Who do you want to speak with?" I asked again and AGAIN "WHO DO YOU WANT TO SPEAK WITH?" Oh My Goodness!!! The other girl came on the line and I asked for "Jason". She said "Jason isn't here". And when I asked when he would be in she said "oh, he's out of town. He's on his honeymoon and won't be back for 2 weeks". Jason, you should be APPALLED by the behavior of your staff (these 2 girls). I am a loyal customer, but after this I DONT EVER WANT TO SEE THIS GIRL EVER AGAIN!!!! I am sooo angry and disgusted and APPALLED!!!! I'm absolutley furious! UPDATE: I called the next day and spoke with Tim (the manager filling in for Jason). He apologized profusely. Even offered coupons for 4 free meals. Although I appreciate that, and I appreciate the time he took to speak with me, I am still disgusted with the staff that you had on this evening. Tim stated that there are 2 staff members at that time of evening (a staff member and an assistant manager). The option of half (3 inch?) sandwich bites and their yummy oatmeal choco chip cookies lured me in to the Irving location for a visit. Several things about this chain impressed me: calorie counts clearly displayed on their menu, options for thin cut bread (for the low-carbers) which lets their deli meats shine through, skinny options, a fine-tasting hot pepper relish, and fresh-baked cookies still warm in their displays. Add to that the friendly, accommodating service -- which vaults Potbelly over Which Wich, Subway and Quizno's as my sub/sandwich go-to stop. read more

Potbelly's is hands down my favorite chain sandwich shop. I always go for the Italian sub, topped with everything - don't skip the hot peppers! Step up to the counter, and tell them which sandwich you want. They will toast the bread and cheese, and then ask you for your list of toppings. There is usually a handy list on the wall behind the counter, so you can rattle off the toppings as you read. Feeling hungry or especially gluttonous? Get a shake!! Ugh, the cookies and cream is to die for. And grab a bag of the crunchy potato chips. Between Potbellys and Jimmy Johns, I'm not sure whose potato chips I like more.
