They offered to split the sandwich for us and they came out on own plates with chips and a pickle - no extra cost. It was greatly appreciated. The bread was heavenly. It had plenty of chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado and a pesto that was light and added the perfect fresh basil touch! They've expanded to the space nextdoor which has added about 18 new tables, a restroom, and two kiosks you can order from. You can alo still order at the counter. My favorite of all of this is their breakfast sandwich with aioli and egg, heavenly. Overall, one of the best places I have been to in Texas so far! P.S. I had the lox bagel, and it was delicious. I'd absolutely get it again. It wasn't exactly massive, and it wasn't packed with enough salmon to require a second bagel to contain it, but I can sleep better at night knowing that the salmon was almost certainly responsibly sourced and delicately carried by well-paid laborers to the cutting board of a place where everyone eats organic and at least one employee has a tattoo of a lotus flower. I realize I'm sounding like a complete jerk here. That's because I am. It's a gift. But the truth is, this is a good place. It's just very she-she (chi-chi?) for what it is. You're paying for a quality sandwich, but you're also paying for the experience, the neighborhood, the aesthetic and the comforting knowledge that nobody behind the counter has ever knowingly consumed a Dorito. So if you're into trendy little spots, high quality ingredients and the whole ladies who lunch lifestyle, you're going to love Grutogi I'd happily go back for another lox bagel. Only one visit to the salad bar is included, at a great price, but you won't be disappointed by the variety of fresh vegetables, corn salad, pasta salad, egg salad and the like, proteins like hard boiled eggs and cottage cheese, and many different salad dressings to choose from. They also offer cornbread, spice cake, chocolate mousse with chocolate chips, and a soft-serve chocolate/vanilla ice cream with Ghiradelli chocolate syrup. I put the chocolate mousse, vanilla soft serve and chocolate syrup in a small bowl together and that was so great. Everything was DELICIOUS.
